My daughter is not the type of person who likes to go shopping and try stuff on. With the covid thing, we weren't sure if there would even be a prom this year (2021) but we would hate to be caught needing a dress and not have one. How do you get a pretty dress for a 5' tall young woman without spending a fortune and having to try on a bunch of "fails" in store? DressAfford! I can't believe how quickly it arrived and how beautifully it's made, tailored to her measurements. No alterations necessary! She could have chosen other colors too--but we liked the picture so decided to go with that one. We were even able to specify how long the top should be to provide modest coverage. We added the petticoat, though she probably won't wear it, and all total with the shipping even was less than $200. If you're someone who knows what styles look good on you and you are not likely to find stuff that is suitable straight off the rack, then this is an awesome solution. We are so happy! Now we're just hoping there is a prom!
I ordered a dress from here for an upcoming wedding I'm going to be in. I had it custom made to fit. I ordered the color blush, which based on their color chart should have been a beige pink color. I opened the package and it was a bright PEACH color! I emailed them my concerns and all they said was I ordered blush and not blushing pink and included a color chart. I cannot return the dress because it was custom made. Do not order a dress from this place unless you order a swatch of the color or want to be disappointed. I have added a picture of the color from the color chart they sent me and the color of the dress.
I am torn on this review, because we had a 50/50 experience with this site. Here are my observations:
1) If you decide to order (which I encourage you not to do), be sure to order WAY in advance. Dresses take a LONG time to arrive.
2) Be sure you try on the dress RIGHT AWAY. They have a 14 day return policy, and if you send them an email one day outside of that time, you are completely out of all your money. We were out of town when the dresses arrived and then planning the wedding, so I didn't try mine on in time. (It was one of so many boxes...)
3) Of the two dresses we ordered, one was good (even though we still needed to alter it) and the other was absolutely terrible. Didn't look like the picture AT ALL.
4) When contacted about the second dress, they were absolutely rigid and wouldn't entertain a return, even though it was made so poorly. I sent the email within three weeks of arrival.
Bottom line: I would not order from here. It's just too much of a risk. By the time I realized how bad the dress was, I was in a scramble to find another one. I would have assumed a 30-day policy, considering how long it took to arrive, but 14 days is all you get. In the midst of crazy wedding planning, I didn't check and now I'm out all of my money. I wouldn't sell the dress, either, as I wouldn't push the bad quality on anyone else. I would have loved the dress that was pictured. I didn't get that dress.

I purchased a bridesmaid dress from this website & my dress was the only one with mismatched material. I order the lavender dress but the dress was lavender & lilac which is not like the pic on the site. Due to COVID the wedding was cancelled therefore I didn't have anyone's dress to compare mines to until the wedding was back on in 2021. I called the company & they refused to fix their horrible product. Don't ever! I repeat don't ever purchase anything from these unprofessional idiots again. They have no class or consideration for their mistake & the impact of COVID.
We apologize for all the inconvenience this may have caused you. Since the dress was ordered and received a year ago we are unable to take your refund request according to our company policy. We understand how dissatisfied you are currently but we failed to receive any picture with a comparison of the dresses to show the differences. Everyone was involved in this global pandemic and we struggled to survive like any other bridal store. From what I learn the issue is that the lining material is different from that of others, all other parts of the dress are good. It will help us figure it out if you would send out some proper pictures. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Honestly I was so nervous about getting the dress after ordering I saw all theses bad reviews and I freaked out! Today I received the dress and it's the exact dress I ordered! Fits ALMOST perfect the bust part is sitting above my breast which I'm sure I can get adjusted with a seamless where I live but the dress is perfect besides that. I was beyond nervous expecting the worse and now beyond excited

This dress was absolutely FABULOUS! Before it came, I was a little hesitant, but the Dressafford customer service put my mind at ease. It arrived way earlier than expected too (which was great!). The fabric is quality, and the fit tailored just for me. I purchased a custom size, and all measurements were exactly accurate to what was specified. I literally could not have been happier with this dress for my elopement wedding. I love the hi-low cut on the hem and the beautiful illusion lace detail - it fit like a dream and was beautiful on. It was the perfect style for my body shape. Like any wedding dress, I did need to take it to my tailor before the big day for very minor alterations, IE; taking the waist in, etc. But I was expecting this, as I would with any wedding dress. Would definitely purchase from this site again, for me it truly was quality for a great price. (For reference, I purchased the "Country Informal Knee-Length Short Sleeve Wedding Dress With Illusion Lace Details").
The dress was what we ordered. The company has you enter measurements instead of selecting a specific size. I love that. The dress fit my daughter, and it arrived in time for her high school senior year formal photos. She usually has a difficult time finding clothes that fit and are beautiful.

I ordered a dress for my wedding and was very excited when I recieved it. However when I went to try it on it was not true to size. Was off substantially, I even double checked the measurements to ensure that it was the correct size. They do not pay for return shipping which is to china. So with the 20% handling fee and the cost of shipping it leaves very little to be refunded 60 days later. Very unhappy with the return policy! Also very unhappy with the sizing. The dress was very small and the train was for a giant. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED!

It is a short dress with a detachable train. We doubled checked pictures of your dress from our QC department and all the measurements were correct.
Yes we do not pay for shipping for returned package and we do charge handling fee. 60 days time window is estimated based on the slow USPS prior mail service.

The dress I received was not the dress I ordered, having extreme differences than the picture. Upon trying to return it, the company said they would deduct 20% of the cost of the gown for "handling fees", plus deduct the cost it was for them to ship to me and I had to pay for the shipping cost back. When I tried to talk to them about return options, they suggested I donate my dress...

Dresssfford is legitimate. Everything; beauty, the quality satin, and even American sizing was perfect! Even just two to three weeks, the use of DHL ship made the dress arrive on time.
Before I ordered my wedding dress, I had my doubts. Only due to really bad choices on impulse, on instagram. I now will order brides maid dresses from dress afford! Aloha!
The item pictured on their website appears to be another manufacturers picture. Sort of like they are trying to copy something legitimate and mail it to you. What we received looked nothing like the picture. The lace was different and so was the fabric underneath. The dress on the website was flowing and beautiful and the dress shipped to us was stiff and quite frankly, ugly. You can not return anything. Actually, you can but they will deduct 50% plus shipping from China which was about $78 and also "additional" fees. Dress cost $202 so you end up with nothing. They will give you 50% back minus some fee that isn't explained if you donate it to a cause they choose but you have to have a donation receipt dated 7 days from the date you tell them you are donating it. You can't mail something to an organization and receive a receipt back in 7 days. The people who emailed me were kind and responsive but their policies are not workable and not completely explained when you order. If you are up for the absolutely no refund policy you could give them a try, but then you may not even receive what you ordered. I tried to upload the photo from their website to this review and it wouldn't upload...

I must admit when I ordered my dress I was worried, but when I opened my package and seen the dress for the first time and then put it On, I was shocked on how beautiful it is and how well it fit me. And trust me ladies when I say I am not a skinny woman, I have curves and rolls. And the Taylor's got all my measurements right. I am super pleased with this dress. And I can not wait for my fiancé to Watch me walk down the aisle in this dress. Ps it only took about 3 was for my order to come in and I'm from Ocean springs, ms in the USA!
I am over the top 150% happy with my dress! Honestly with Covid I was scared, with my order coming from overseas, but let me tell you I had NOTHING to worry about! My dress was custom, and it's a longer wait time because of course they have to make it! At the latest it would have been here 1 week before the wedding, that hiked up my anxiety. I sent them an email stating my concerns. They kept me in the loop every step of the way! Next worry, CUSTOMS! Well no need there! My dress was in a MONTH before our wedding! I just received my dress from Dress Afford and it turned out beautiful! I did a tailored dress and it fits perfectly. The support people notified me of questions on dimensions and they were fast on making the dress and delivering it. Very satisfied.
I ordered a dress on May 5th and it said it would be here on May 29th and it is still at the carrier location it says. My wedding is June 6th, I am starting to get nervous

I bought a wedding dress and they said shipping was not at all impacted by the virus. I was supposed to get the dress over a week ago at the latest. The representative I have talked to is rude and isn't very helpful and said supposedly it was sitting at a shipping carrier. I now have almost no time until my wedding and no dress! This place has left me depressed and frustrated! Never ever ever purchase a dress from here!
I ordered a wedding dress from dress afford for my June wedding. Customer service before the order was great early an immediate response, polite, personal etc. I received the dress and it was of horrible quality, the lace on the dress was completely different than pictured, the color of the dress is a cream, not the white that I ordered, the lace at the bottom of the dress is sewn off center. There is supposed to be a satin belt with the dress and instead it is a thick band of dress material sewn into the dress. The actual fabric of the dress is a cheap flag material. It also had modesty cups sewn into the bust, although several inches higher than the natural bustline so not physically possible to hold what they intended. I sent three emails to the company with no response before I disputed the charge. Only then did I get a response offering me an 80% refund minus shipping costs after I had shipped it back to China on my expense. They also offered the option to donate the dress for a 50% refundinus shipping costs. I am still in the process of disputing the charge because the dress I received barely resembles the dress I ordered. I am only a few weeks out from my wedding with no dress and I'm out $200. I also left a review on their site which still hasn't shown up which leads me to believe that they suppress the negative reviews on their site. Save your money and your time. The photos are not what you will receive and you are flushing your money down the drain. This was my first time ordering from a site like this and it will absolutely be my last.
Gown did not fit properly and horribly made and because of the Coronavirus, I could not return it within the 14 days. They would not give me an extension to return. Very poor customer service.
My fiancee and I were looking for a dress that would modest and affordable. Dressafford came through with flying colors. I was a little hesitant to try something online since sometimes we take a gamble. We are so pleased we chose this site.
I went with the preselected sizes I was a size 6 at the time so I ordered a size 8.
In case for whatever reason it fits a little snug the dress is made to allow to let a few inches off if you take it to the tailor in your area. I gained a few pounds from stress eating due the wedding planning in the time it took to make the dress so I had to take it to the tailor. The tailor said he could tell the professional quality in fabric and how it was made.
