I can honestly say, I have never experienced customer services as poor as this company. I feel their practices should not even be legal! I have been owned a refund of £983 since June this year (through a fault made my Dream World Travel might I add - not coronavirus related). They have repeatedly fobbed me off, promising they will pay me if I just wait x amount of time longer (first it was 12 weeks, then 8 more weeks, then just 10 days more, then just 72 hours!). Needless to say, I have been waiting over six months and they have STILL not paid me. They received the refund from the airline in early September and have refused to pay me. After making me wait since June, they then tried to say they have a company policy not to give refunds in December! When I demanded to speak to a manager, I was put on hold for an HOUR and then connected to another CUSTOMER- who was equally as bamboozled as I was, he was also waiting to speak to a manager (shock). When I tried to call back they had BLOCKED my number. I'd like to add that not once, despite my justified frustration, was rude or used poor language on the phone. I used to work in customer service and I know that will get you nowhere- I can only assume they have blocked me as have no intention of paying my money. I do not know what else to do. DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

Finally I have now lost patience. Four flights on Singapore booked in Spring 2020 for November 2020 departure. All booked by DreamWorld Travel. Cancelled by Singapore Airlines in October 2020 due to Covid. For the life of me I can not get my refund. They do not dispute that I am owed more than £2000. But continually they fail to pay me the refund. Disgusting behaviour, no conscious, or values. I have now been waiting over 14 months.

Horrendous

I booked flights for travel in February of this year. I have been waiting for a refund since as these were cancelled due to covid.
I am emailing back and to with no refund in sight. They told me they have received the funds from the 3rd party and are processing this back to me - they told me this in August and I am still waiting on my money back.
Absolutely useless company with poor communication who keep promising "by the end of november" "in the next 10 days" followed by "the next 28 days"

They keep telling me about how heavy their workload is, and quite frankly, I don't care. I just want my hard earned money back!

Absolutely useless and completely unacceptable. Laughable that if I EVER get my money back they will take an admin fee from it.

I'm very sad and truly furious after 13months we have not received a refund for 4 passenger's roundtrip. We claimed it because of Covid19 in November 2020. DreamWorldTravel has received moneys from the airline in June 2021, but has failed to forward the refund to us. Now it's December 2021 and we are still waiting after numerous phonecalls, ten emails and monthly, empty promises given by DreamWordTravel. It's stressful enough times - now having to contact all possible agencies; Ealing Trading Standard, Action Fraud, ATOL enforcement. What a disaster!

LIKE MANY OTHERS WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE OUR FLIGHTS DUE TO COVID CANCELLATIONS ETC. NO PROBLEM AT FIRST BUT THEN AN OCCASION AROSE WHERE WE WERE ASKED FOR £330.00 TO RESCHEDULE. WE CHALLENGED THIS AS THE ORIGINAL BOOKING STATED THAT CHANGES COULD BE MADE WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGE. WE WERE ADVISED THAT THIS FEE WAS MADE UP OF HANDLING FEE + AIRPORT TAXES AND AIRLINE FEES. UNDER DURESS BECAUSE WE NEEDED THE FLIGHT TICKETS TO APPLY TO UK IMMIGRATION FOR VISA EXTENSION, WE EVENTUALLY PAID UP. SUBSEQUENTLY, WE SPOKE TO QATAR AIR ON AN EXTRANEOUS MATTER AND HAD OCCASION TO RAISE THE MATTER OF THE ADDITIONAL AIRLINE FEES AND AIRPORT TAXES WITH THEM. THEY STATED THAT THEY HAD NOT CHARGED ANY AIRLINE FEES NOR WERE AIRPORT TAXES APPLICABLE. THE QATARI OFFICIAL STATED THAT THE TICKETS WERE ' S' CLASS TICKETS AND CLEARLY SHOWED THAT NO ADDITIONAL AIRLINE FEES OR AIRPORT TAXES WERE CHARGED BY THEM AND THAT DREAM WORLD TRAVEL ' THEY KNOW.'
AFTER 12 MONTHS OF TRYING TO GAIN AN EXPLANATION FROM DREAM WORLD TRAVEL WITH A VIEW TO OBTAINING A REFUND, FINALLY WE HAVE HAD THE COURTESY OF A REPLY...' WE DO NOT REFUND AIRPORT TAXES AND AIRLINE FEES'.

Another victim of this travel agency: Waiting for a refund of £1144 since July 2020.

Contacted them 9 times over the past 1.5 years (!) to gather the refund request. No luck. They were consistently answering that due to high volume of refund requests they cannot handle my request, although they clearly approved they got the money back from the airline for the refund.

For 1 year and 5 months (and counting...) they are too busy to give my money back (minus 15% admin fee!) although they have that money in hand already!

Not a trusted agency, please be aware.
I booked flights through them in October last year; the flights were cancelled a week after; they gave me the option of a refund, which I still haven't received it.
I've been calling them and emailed them all this time, and they keep saying the same thing - due to the volume of requests, it's been delayed. Please allow us some more time.
It's the first time I have experienced an agency taking so long to process a refund, so I believe they won't give it back.

Fraud company you should avoid at all cost!

My struggle continues with this travel agency and my travel is a dream now!

I got conflicting response from DWT customer service team that the Turkish Airline flight I booked was cancelled and hence I am unable to check in. My question to the DWT team is why they waited until I check-in to inform about this? Why my eTicket was not issued in first place on 29th September 2021? How much time it will take to get refund so that I can book with other airline? The DWT team ignored all of my requests completely and offered me alternative flights for the dates I can't travel because I have pre-booked public transport and accommodation abroad. They are not even providing me evidence/official confirmation from Turkish Airline that the flight was cancelled which makes me wonder if they are actually telling the truth. The response from DWT is crafty, deceptive and I am depressed now as I don't have money to book another flight for the dates I can travel.

My first review

I booked my return ticket through DWT on 29th September 2021 and received invoice for the same via email. Booking was easy, straight forward and help available from their team. Today I tried to check-in for my flight with Turkish Airline and I was unable to do it. I called DWT customer service on *******9888/*******888 but their phone lines (you might notice that their landline number changes on their main website) were on automated answering machine 'Cellphone is switched off, try again later'. I contacted Turkish Airline customer service and I was informed that the ticket booking was never completed from DWT end and they asked me to contact my travel agency urgently i. E. DWT.

I can't believe fraud companies like Dream World Travel still exist in London and registered with ATOL.

I am still waiting for their customer service to respond. I wish I could have read all these reviews before booking with them. I am really stressed now as I have no means of income and now stuck with no flight and no money and all the credit goes to 'Dream World Travel' which makes travelling actually a 'dream'.

They will not issue e -ticket (purposely)even after payment been made and when airline cancelled flight dint offer assistance and neither refund. Did not even communicate about cancellation. Has to be named and shamed as it seems they have been operating like this for a long time without any challenge. They are frauding people by not issuing e-tickets so they dont have to comply with cancellation rule of the airlines..

Dream World Travel is pretty good with prices, but the pandemic in reality changed the way every business deal with situations and customers. The agents that dealt with me were pretty good from responding to e-mails or dealing with my requests, in particular Mr Zeechan. Hopefully in the future, I will be in touch.

Ordered a plane ticket through them. Never sent the the e ticket, told me to wait for it. Checked with the airline and a booking had been made but they hadn't made a payment for it. Have requested a refund and getting nowhere. Will be using Section 75 as I purchased it on my credit card. Very, very bad service and it takes a long time to get through on the phone. At which point they try and fob you off saying they need more time. These positive reviews seem very off, please listen to all of us who have actually experienced this company. Avoid, and just pay a little more. It's not worth this hassle to save a little bit of money.

They called who I had purchased the ticket for. Said they wanted to assist with the booking. Once they heard we want a refund quickly ended the call and didn't offer any more. Think only the credit card company can help me. Never known such a dodgy company.

They rang again to say they have given the money to their supplier who gets them cheap tickets, and they are the ones who can send the money back and we have to wait on. And that I have to email the refund department again and they'll get back to me. They never reply to the emails. As usual, going around in circles. Once you get to a deadline with this company they add more to their story and make a new problem preventing them sending you a refund. No supplier had been mentioned to be until now. So poor.

I wish I could give ZERO stars, nothing!.
My partner and I paid this "company" (scam project) to get us a ticket and they did not, we had to buy another ticket directly through the airline, before buying our ticket ourselves, we contacted the airline to find out about our booking made by dreamworld they said nothing had been paid to them, the ticket was not bought, we tried to ask dreamworld to pay for the ticket and they gave excuses and talked about priority tickets being paid for first, aren't we a priority? After that they did not give any sustainable answers.
Their favourite phrase to use is "please wait 48hours" which just means eternity and they do not respond to emails.
They tell you that they use a supplier to buy their tickets to put the blame on someone else, who cares? It's a big lie obviously.
If you're a serious business, Give us our refund, tell your "refund department" to do it or we'll write an honest review everyday (no kidding).
And why aren't your departments working in unison, they put the blame on "other departments" actual established companies are able to refer clients to relevant departments and sort issues out! Don't act like the department is in another universe.

It's really not cool to take people's hard earned money. We know you have our money! You didn't buy the ticket, we were told, so you are holding on to the money.

Please avoid this company! It's a nightmare not a dream. I booked tickets for 4 people last year 2020 my flights was cancelled, they told me would charge £400 in fees and give me a refund in 12-24 weeks! Guess what 28 weeks on and no refund yet! Disgusting company no respect for the costumer I'm desperate for my money and they are just tell me to wait a few more weeks

After my flights to Bali were cancelled by the airline in November 2020. I applied for the refund, and while accepting difficulties due to COVID it ia now september 2021 and there has been no sign of a refund. Contacting them has seen them excuse, lie and change goalposts. I was guaranteed it in may, then june then august. This refund by law should have been given withing 14 days.
I told them if they missed the deadline that i would take them to the small claims court as others have done this and it is the only way to get your money back.
They immediately applied for an extension, and i am now waiting, if they think they are going to wear me down after all this time then they have another thing coming. There is a facebook action group dedicated to the expriences with this company.
Would definitely not recommend

Do not pay refund back

Still waiting to get my refund for a flight cancelled by them in July/20! Every time that I contact them, I receive the excuse that they have a huge backlog and keep postponing the date of payment! Really shame!

Well done Lubna

When the Government suddenly changed Mexico from amber to red status, I had only 72 hours to leave the country. Despite hours of trying, BA were uncontactable. However Lubna from Dream World Travel stepped up with a much-needed ticket to help me back to the UK, thus avoiding the dreaded and expensive 10 day quarantine at Heathrow. Lubna was efficient and took action immediately.
