So I am writing a good review for this company in spite of the fact the dress was not a right fit for me. This was not any part of the company's error, but just the differences in body types. There are reasons that dressing rooms exist, or at least, use to exist.
In an age of increased online shopping, we have to accept not everything will be perfect or completely right. It is the company and their policies that should fit us though.
In saying all this, I happily found that this company did that and went beyond the expected and was more than helpful in returning the dress.
Also, I found the dress to be of good quality for a fair price. And, I liked the fact that they offered more formal dress styles than what Amazon did and at my local stores. I would buy from them again if the occasion arose. Though next time I will likely try to find a simpler dress.
Dress is two sizes too small. Very cheap quality. Reached out to them the same day we received to get instructions on how to return. They said they would offer me $40 and to keep it. When I said NO I bought this dress with the understanding that I could return if not satisfied and they offered me $90 and to keep it. I said no I would like to return for full refund minus shipping. Asked for the return address (not on the site ANYWHERE) and they have totally ghosted me.

Didn't match the picture as well as I would've liked but was still pretty and great for the value— got a lot of compliments and only needed a small alteration.
I ordered a dress mid-April. My ticket said it was to be delivered on 5/11. I still had no tracking number. I then emailed asking for a tracking number. I receive another email stating the dress was being delivered 5/13, still no tracking number. I emailed telling them to cancel the order, the dress would not arrive in time for the wedding. They then told me through email the dress was in production, meaning it had never even been shipped. They lied to me twice in writing, and are now trying to charge me 20% for a dress that was not even made or shipped. I will be disputing charges, and contacting my bank. This company not only lies, but wants to charge you for their lies!

Did receive later than my function. Dress not the dark, forest green I was expecting, some silver adornments fell off in the shipping bag.
I was advised this for return:$40-70 to ship back, more than a month to receive any money back. Other option is to receive a charitable receipt for donation, & they will refund 70% of what I paid (thinking shipping is subtracted from this, not really clear).

Although it took quite a while for them to respond to my email request for refund (my dress did not fit), they did and did allow me to return the dress, although they stated the cost may be $40-$70 dollars since it is oversees shipping. THey also offered the option below, which I thought was nice, and that is what I am going to do. Hoping it works!
"So we suggest you donate your dress to GoodWill within 7 days and you will get an (after deducting the shipping fee we paid for the package) 70% refund with the receipt, we will refund you as soon as we get the receipt from GoodWill or any kind of proof of donation. Just send us the picture of the proof will be fine."
I purchased a dress from Dorris Wedding. It was NOT the dress in the picture. I measured myself and ordered the size I thought I needed bases off the size chart. The dress was way too small. I am trying to return the dress and cannot get anyone to respond to me. Don't waste your time or money on this place.
I ordered a wedding dress from these people and when the dress arrived it was damaged! Sizing was incorrect and it had blue pen Mark's all over it! When returning their items you have to pay an additional $50 postal mail and they never return your money! DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE! YOU WILL BE HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! AND OUT OF COMPENSATION! Terrible customer service. My fiancé tried to return a dress within the allowed period and didn't respond for weeks. Finally we reach someone and they say it's no longer within the return period even though the original request was sent well within the return period. After clarifying that we were in fact within the return period, they reply stating that we wouldn't get a full refund even though their return policy implies that we would. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! After looking further, the same dresses are available in other shops for much cheaper and better quality.
This dress was amazing. I had a small intimate wedding and did not want to spend a lot of money on my dress. It was delivered fast, fit perfect and looked gorgeous!

As soon as I wrote a review the next day I got a email saying how to return. It cost $40 to send back. I didn't hear anything for well over a month and so I sent them a email saying I didn't get my refund. I got it that day. So it pays to be a squeaky wheel!
I received my dress in a timely manner but the lace was very itchy. I keep trying to get ahold of them because your supposed to return within 2 weeks and get a okay before you send. They won't answer emails just say a ticket has been issued. So irritating. It's $150.00. Do not order
I was so excited to find my wedding dress at this price that I forgot to check where they were located. I read the reviews and there were many very good ones. There were also some not-so-good, but I figured "there's always someone." I sent an email asking if they could make my custom dress and get it to me in time for my wedding on Nov 20. They said "YES." I paid a rush fee on top of the price my niece paid for the dress. I'm 61 and I got married for the first time. IT WAS A BIG DEAL!
They didn't even SHIP my dress until Nov 19 - the day before my wedding; according to the FEDEX timeline. They refunded the RUSH fee, but took no other responsibility. They LIED to me about the ability to get the dress to me on time.
The dress arrived 1 week AFTER my wedding. The entire event was planned around this dress. It was a THEME wedding; a Downton Abbey afternoon tea party by the sea. I managed to get a dress locally that didn't entirely ruin the theme, but it cost me $500 that wasn't in my budget.
When the dress arrived, it was a fuscia-purple... NOT lavender as their photo. Which was stolen from a London designer on Etsy. So they re-create other peoples designs at a greatly reduced cost. I kind of don't mind that, but it's a lack of integrity to rip-off other designers work. I also mind that the dress came in purple, not lavender as in the dress in their picture. Also, the lace, pearl and sequin waist centerpiece was GOLD in the photo; not IVORY.
It was definitely my fault in not checking their ACTUAL location first. The grammar in the communications should have tipped me off. I actually do a lot of business with clothing from China for my business and only occasionally have an issue. This time, it was a BIG DEAL.
As for what was positive... the dress is beautiful, though not a color I can wear. The underdress is very well made, though the sheer overdress has loose threads sticking out, some of the machine stitching ends abruptly too soon, where it should have a few more stiches so the end of the stitching disappears. If you sew yourself or work in the garment industry, you'll know what I mean.

I knew it was a big risk buying my wedding dress online but I fell in love with this dress from Dorris Wedding. I am glad I took the risk because the dress arrived when promised, communication was great and the dress itself looks lovely. Its quality is as good as some of the dresses in shops I tried and worth £1500 just to hire. If you do your research and obviously not expect to get a big ball gown dress for £100 then I recommend buying online. I thought that the image and the original cost and the discount cost seemed realistic so I went for it. Now I can spend all that extra money for the reception. Looking forward to wearing it on my wedding day!
This company is a big mess. Don't be deceive. What you see online is not what they will send to you. I ordered a dress worth of $300 and I received a mess. It's totally different from what they displayed online and with a different tag label not Dorriswedding label.
I can read here that the return fee is very expensive. I've been trying to get in touch with them through email, all I received is ticket booked and they put 14days on their return policy with no link to fill and return.

Do NOT order from here unless you're 100% positive you won't need to return for any reason at all. I didn't end up liking the dress as much as I had hoped but I would have had to spend over $100 just to return it because it has an international return address (China).
I ordered 2 dresses for my wedding! Did the measurements, everything. They were ao helpful before I ordered but once i got the dresses & they are GARBAGE. 5 times to big, so much material. Just junk! I have started 16 tickets & not 1 reply. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY!

I will preface this by saying that their return policy is posted on their website. Just be fully prepared to only receive a small fraction of your money back if you do not like the dress.
If you decide to return it and they accept your return, you are required to send it through USPS. They use alternate carriers to ship it to you which are cheaper, but you have to pay an extra import tax that shows up on your bank statement without warning. However, to ship back to them you are only allowed to use USPS so that they don't have to pay any extra fees - it cost about $75 to send it back to China through USPS.
That is not the only charge you have to pay to return it. They also only give you 80% of the purchase price of your dress back due to a 20% restocking fee. Now, here's the one that really got me. In addition to that, they offer free shipping when they first send the dress to you initially, but if you decide to return it they tell you that you must also pay whatever fee they paid to ship it to you originally. This seems completely unrelated to me and feels like just another way to squeeze as much money out of you as they can. They also don't tell you how much they paid to ship it to you originally unless you ask as it just comes up as "free shipping" during the purchasing process.
They do not provide close up pictures and some on their website are blurry. Below are pictures of the online dress and what my actual dress looked like close up. It definitely looked similar to what was on their website, but was not the exact dress. Like another review mentioned, I think they use pictures of really nice dresses and try to replicate them in their factory in China. I think a sign that this is the case is that on their website the backgrounds in the pictures are all different and there is no consistency.
So in total I would have received about $44 back for paying $191 up front. I decided just to donate the dress so I wasn't out and extra $75 to pay to ship it back while I wait who knows how long for a partial refund.

Answer: I suggest you do NOT order from them at all as it is a SCAM!
Answer: Unfortunately, based on their policy, you will most likely not qualify for a return. They will find something that will disqualify you from even their partial 80% refund (and if you received free shipping initially, that amount will be deducted from your refund also). If you DO get through to them within your 14-day window, they will first suggest that you to try to sell the dress on Craigslist. If you were out of you 14 day return window, they will tell you 'tough luck.' If the dress actually makes it back to them within the return window, they will say that the dress smells like perfume, or they'll mention other signs of wear (even if you never actually tried it on). But it seems that most often the dress won't make it to the given address in the first place, and it will end up "abandoned" and you won't receive anything at all. If you are returning the dress because it was not as described, I highly recommend opening a PayPal case if you want to even think about getting any of your money back. But even then, it's still not guaranteed that you will. I haven't yet heard of anyone making a successful return to this company. I have a pending PayPal case currently, just paid $65 out of my pocket for return shipping, and am crossing every finger on my body tightly that the dress will show "delivered" on the USPS tracking.

The company will send you a cheap dress that looks nothing like what you ordered and then will tell you sorry but your stuck with it! This company is in CHina and is a scam!
