I ordered my lunch with doordash and I saw that my delivery driver was nearby and then my order stated it was delivered I never received my food and that was today October 9th 2019. Im soo disappointed.
They are a sad excuse for a delivery service I've waited almost 2 hours for my food, after patiently waiting I contacted the restaurant to only be told your food is sitting her waiting to picked up -contacted their useless customer service department who believes they can sweet talk their way - no thanks... y'all need to learn about business before attempting to operate one
I'm still owed a 79.87 refund to my CC for food that was never delivered due to an error with their app! Talked to three morons from DoorDash customer service and none of them could figure out WTF happened to my refund. Now I can't even get a response from DoorDash regarding the refund so I'm waiting for it to post to my CC so that I can dispute it immediately. In the meantime I've filed complaints for fraud and theft against doordash with the FTC and BBB and I urge others to do the same!
This company is horrible and has no way of reprimanding issues/drivers. I waited 3 hours for an order from Burger King. They said he was busy doing other orders but our town is only 15 minutes by 15 minutes wide. He could have driven clear across the state in that time frame. This was only one instance. Other times the food just didn't come until I called. They also order from the restaurant j work from and food just sits there for hours until a customer calls to wonder where their food is.
I have used this service for awhile. I am a psychology major in the prowess of obtaining my masters degree. I used your service for a social experiment, which you failed miserably. While based upon the question, would I receive better service without the person knowing the reward(tip) they were going to receive. I only gave two tips out of the five I did not tip during ordering. I had one person literally throw the food at me, which half my order was missing from. Versus the usual good service I have received previously, when I tipped during when I placed my order. I also sent an email asking why I can not have access to the full menu of the restaurants that you provide, still weeks later, no response. I have since started ordering directly from the restaurants. Not only am I able to have access to the full menu, I can customize my order and it has on average cost me a minimum of $10.00 less for the exact order I purchased. Then with using your services. With technological advancement being what they are if you do not fix this issues I have doubt you will continue to be in business long term. I have NEVER made a complaint before, until now, due to your companies lack of response when I emailed you with these very concerns.
Worst company ever! Horrible business practices!
We have used this company as well as many others for food delivery. Every time we use this company, both the restaurant and the dasher leave items off of our orders that we are charged for. We report this because it is not only disappointing but costs us money for orders that are without fail, always missing at least two to five items on each order. While the first few times we reported this, Doordash provided small refunds that did not take into account tax nor tip, they have refused to acknowledge it the last three times we have reported it. It is not actually our fault that your dashers do not check orders or ther restaurant preparing it is leaving items off. Maybe if you do not want to have to do refunds, then you should have your dashers check. We order from Bite Squad, Grubhub, Ubereats, and Postmates but the only time we are missing food is with your company. Sub par service here. Might even be your dashers are stealing food. The only reason we kept trying to use you is because you offer more in our area. But we will not continue to pay for food we are not receiving. Your customer service really is a sad excuse and reflects poorly on your company. We will never use DoorDash again. We are not paying for incompetence and possible theft.
I called ten minutes after my food was marked delivered, spent twenty minutes on hold, was told my dasher "had an emergency" where they took off with my food, marked it delivered, and then the representative hung up on me.
Never got my food - Twice! I'm still trying to get refunded!
I was so looking forward to giving myself a treat after a hard day! This just crushed me further. And when you have a problem? Little to no response. No interest. No investment in my issue.
Delivery took a long time and when we received our order it was a completely different order. Nothing we ordered, we received. Contacted the delivery guy and he wanted nothing to do with making the delivery right. Contacted customer service, after 20min on hold they refunded our money for the food, but not delivery or delivery tip. When an order is completely wrong, I would think it would be "good" customer service to refund the whole amount paid. I'll never use DoorDash again.
DoorDash has let me down once again. Where to start? My first bad experience was a few weeks ago when the driver sent me a text stating he was outside my door, had knocked three times and would be leaving and I could contact customer service from there... He was at the wrong house the whole time. The next was when the driver of my food never called, text, or knocked on my door but thought it a good idea to leave my food between my screen door and front door On a 95 degree day. We had no idea it had been delivered until an hour later we were leaving to go get other food. Next our driver took an Uber to deliver our food, yet again went to the wrong house first, had his kids with him, and couldn't even be bothered to get dressed for the day. Next and the latest bad experience. The driver called me telling me she was outside my house, she wasn't, but who's surprised. When she did get to my house she refused to come to my door instead she stood outside the gate to my yard and had me go get my food. As I walked up to her I realized she was in her bra, a pair of boxers, and flip flops. I don't care that it's DoorDash it's still a JOB. Put on some clothes before you are delivering people their food. Have some common sense and be courteous. You're getting paid, act like it.
I placed an order with DoorDash for a restaurant take-out order. I was told the food would arrive in 45 minutes. When it didn't arrive in an hour, I called the delivery person who told me the food wouldn't be ready at the restaurant for another hour. When I spoke to the restaurant manager, she told me that the delivery person hadn't put in my order until 30 minutes after I filled in the online form. She also told me that she had told him that the food wouldn't be ready for 90 minutes. If he'd called to tell us that, we would have cancelled the order. It's outrageous that we had to wait 2 hours for our take-out order! I will not use this service again!
Never got my order, we were told they would call (never did), and then notified us that they determined that we would not get a refund
Don't use Doordash
I have tried several times using the PC based application, and it ALWAYS fails. The first time it input the street the restaurant was on as the delivery address, and there was no way to correct it. The second time, the order was completely lost and we had to re-order and wait 3 hours for dinner. The third time we gave up because the system gave us no way to order the sides that came with the dinner.
All that would be bad enough, but we called and emailed DoorDash "customer service" all three times to try to straighten out these problems AND NEVER GOT A REPLY. We also tried to call the number given for the driver about the delivery problem, and found out that it was incorrect.
Ahhh. But it still gets much worse. When we finally got an order using the iPhone app, it arrived OPENED and PARTIALLY CONSUMED. The DoorDash driver had helped himself to part of our meal. Of course we complained (again), but got no reply and no refund.
Today I received my charge card bill... for the order that never arrived. That's what prompted me to write this review.

I got the wrong order. I tried to contact dasher. No answer. I paid the delivery fee and service fee but I had to go to restaurant to pick up my order.
WARNING: Be careful ordering through their app or you could get stuck paying for something you never received. My app was set to "Pick Up" orders instead of "Delivery," which I didn't realize when I placed an order (I have never used DoorDash for pick up). I realized my mistake immediately and canceled the order through the app. Then, I placed a duplicate order for "Delivery." When I was tracking my delivery, I noticed that the "Pick Up" order was still active. The only option that order had at that point was to call the restaurant, which I did. I called them to make sure that the "Pick Up" order was canceled and that the "Delivery" order was replaced with it. However, I was still charged for the "Pick Up" order. DoorDash says they can't refund me because a restaurant can't cancel an order. But, I canceled it on the app first and when that didn't work, I immediately performed the second option I was given (calling the restaurant). Through three different interactions with DoorDash customer service, they still won't refund my money for a meal I never received, that they never had to pay a driver for and that the restaurant never had to make. Be careful. They do not care about their customers.
App chat feature is usually as it doesn't work. I had an wrong food delivered. When chatted on the desktop website, the customer representative gave me a nasty and negative experience. The restaurant closed and it 10pm when she purposely terminated the chat session. DoorDash is NOT a good company and and avoid at all cost. You will regret it when something wrong goes with the transaction and find out that they don't care about their customers at all. I hope this helps everyone.
Doordash a big 0! Horrible service and customer support
If I could give doordash a 0 or worse i would.
We ordered food to be delivered via doordash, and had it delivered to our house, well coodoes to the restaurant the food was very good, but our house is in a gated community, and the door dasher decision to speed in our community was stopped by security. She then promptly proceeded to tell the security officer she was a guest, and not a delivery driver. Because of this We the home owners received a $115.00 traffic ticket, which the doordasher refused to pay.
The doordasher then came back to our community administration building and flipped out at the community officials stating she was being set up, and that Security had stalked her to our house and sat and waited for her to return to the gate house. She in fact received the citation a block away from our house in transit to our home.
Now what is worse- we had paid for our food, but now because of the doordasher we now have to pay a $115.00 fine for her speeding ticket!
Door dash customer service also did nothing to help us! Stated that the ticket we received form her delivery was not their responsibility! ( Well thanks for the help!)
So- What kind of logic and service is that! We will never use doordash again.

I used them for the first time the other day and after I submitted my order for $9.71 I received a receipt for $21! They added all head hidden fees and delivery charges, forced a tip and added service fees. Then when I complained, they told me it was MY fault for not reading my receipt. My receipt showed only my food order NOT these hidden charges
This so-called "service" is a joke. We ordered nearly 2 hours ago and nothing. We called the restaurant and they said the food had been sitting there ready to be picked up by a "Dasher" for nearly an hour and forty five minutes. My pregnant wife ended up going to pick up the food herself, which is likely cold and disgusting. The sheer incompetence and cowardice of this company in owning their mistake extends to the fact they have no customer service number or live chat function. Just a form that, who nows, if they'll even respond. Not worth a moment of your time, let alone any space on your device(s) for their app. Think about it: the ONE job is to pick up food and deliver it to your home. We live in a town that you can drive across in 10 minutes and they can't even get an order online of pasta to our door within two hours? Order Pizza Hut, heck anything else. I guarantee you it will get there before whatever you get from these fools.
Wrong food, wrong restaurant, no response from customer service, no refund, not even a credit. Horrible company, stay away.

Answer: Grubhub has lower rates now. Even on restaurants with higher fees, it is worth avoiding Doordash
Answer: They first send you to a robot and then an outsourced person in India I believe. There is no communication between drivers and the customer service so it's unhepful
Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
