I received a voucher from DoorDash to save $15 on my first order of $30 or more, with the offer expiring on 31 March 2020. When I went to enter the voucher code for my order (mid February 2020), instead of receiving a discount I instead received the message "Sorry, the promotion has reached the maximum number of customers that can use this promotion."
The DoorDash helpline confirmed that although the voucher had not expired and I met all the terms and conditions, they had basically decided that the no longer wished to honour the voucher because they felt they already spent enough on that promotion.
The people on the DoorDash helpline refused to provide me with a new discount code. The DoorDash help on Facebook asked me to provide details and evidence, but have not responded with an offer.
I reported this (along with evidence) to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (REF*******) which in response said that it was illegal "bait advertising".
This morning, I found DoorDash once again handing out the same vouchers at the train station, although as early as two weeks ago they had already decided that they were no longer going to honour them (did they ever?). I have reported this second incident to the ACCC as well. And from looking at other reviews, my experience was far from unique.
I placed my order, after an hour of waiting for my food to show up, I went to check on my order. It had been canceled. No phone call, no text message. I called them, and spoke with Neil, who said the restaurant was too busy with diners to fulfill my order. I asked to speak with a manager (Mary), who said they no longer had what I wanted on the menu. What?!?! Which is it? They also argued with me that someone had tried to call me... ummm, no. No missed call, no voicemail. I called the restaurant and was told they reached out to DoorDash to see if I wanted something else, and was told they had spoken with me and that I wanted to cancel my order. What is this now, DoorDash lie # 4... How inept is this company. I called DoorDash after speaking with the restaurant, and asked to speak with a manager. The person put me on hold for 15 minutes, at this point it switched over to a survey asking me how satisfied I was with DoorDash order. Unbelievable.
I used to doordash driver. The app is horrible. It does not give us the correct location. If the customer do not write the direction it is very hard to find the address. Most of the customer does not give tips, the app asks for delivery for $3 to 7 miles. It includes gas and mileage.If the customer wants to get good service they need to pay enough money. Also, for doordash most of the time the restaurants do not prepare the foods on time. Waiting time 10 -30 minutes at the restaurant. Sometimes the customer enters an incorrect address and then on the delivery instruction they give the correct address which is extra 4-5 miles. Extra 4-5 miles for nothing? Sorry I cannot work with doordash any more. I started bite squad, the restraunt prepare the food on time, I get at least $15 an hour plus tip. Yesterday I worked 3 hours and I got $63. Also the customer very nice and respectfull.
I have had 2 different experiences getting food from door dash. I live in a small town with not a lot of delivery options. Both encounters possibly with the same person. Looked like there "dasher" was living out of their car. The said dasher was not the driver and the car was in very bad shape and was full of garbage and clothes. There was also a small child in the back seat. My first experience my food smelled like smoke and some was inedible. I have contacted door dash both times and did not receive a refund nor did they care about my complaints. Please do not use this company in hope they will shut their doors. If I could give negative stars I would recommend uber at least they vet their workers and require vehicle inspections. I'm so disappointed.
Driver called me because he couldn't find my address. Gave it to him and ten minutes later he texted me and said he still couldn't find it so he left it a house 2 miles away from me without even verifying it was the correct address. When I contacted Door Dash for a refund, they told me it would take 5 to 7 business days to issue it. The driver also lied about ever talking to me about my address. Use Grubhub.
$#*!ty as hell. I'm so unsatisfied with my order and they wouldn't even refund me. I waited 2 hours for food to come and it was cold, my burger was mushy. Awful experience and will never order from here again. When I called customer service I couldnt understand the lady and she gave me 10 bucks out of my 40 back. I'm one pissed off customer
Doordash is padding the charges per item on your order. I ordered from Chuys and paid an additional $15.34 for items over what Chuys charged Doordash. This is in addition to the Service fee and Delivery fees they charge. They are also calculating the tip including the service fee.
Stay away! They do not care about your food or if your kids are waiting for dinner and you can't get it because you are laid up with illness so you order them dinner. It comes and it isn't what you ordered. Then they say they will refund and they only give you a portion of your money back for their F**k up! Driver didn't even check the orders she delivered and we recieved someone else's cold food. Half of which was inedible due to food allergies. Horrible company. This has happened 3 times now. Never anything reconsiled. Don't waste your money. They need to be shut down. I hope they become bankrupt. We ordered Chinese. The picture shows what we recieved. I love Mexican food but my husband has Colitis and my toddler has food allergies. We couldn't eat anything but the chips. They didn't care at all. They left a family suffering from illness and unable to leave the house to grocery shop or get food with nothing for dinner. Scumbag company.
Ordered food as I've done many times in the past. My dasher called about a change to my order no big deal so I know he had my contact info. The order never arrived.
The driver was nice and that's where the compliments end. The delivery took over an hour and a half. The food was cold and the order was wrong. By the time the food was delivered it was too late to order from anywhere else. I made a complaint online and they offered me 15 bucks which was not even a third of the cost of the order. I deleted the app and will not be using DoorDash again. They can keep their $15.
BUYER BEWARE: I am staring a campaign so #doordash refunds me of over $227 they are trying to steal from me for over 2 months now! Short story:
-1st act: I order food and Doordash immediately charge the Mastercard;
-2nd act: 20 minutes later Doordash say the restaurant is not available and that the money will be refunded;
-Third act: Doordash doesn't refund anything and just asks you to keep sending emails while they want you to get tired and drop the case.
THIS IS A SCAM! I wonder how much money they have stolen from people this way.

We ordered a small pepperoni pizza, a brownie and a 2 liter root beer. The driver got here and informed us that he did not have a soda listed on his order and therefore he would not give us a soda. I then pulled up the order on my phone to prove to him that we ordered and was charged for a two liter root beer. He said that he could not do anything about that and he needed to collect $17.19 for the order. He said that we would have to talk to door dash to refund the order. (That in itself was suspicious because we were paying with cash) I then told him that we ordered through Papa John's. ( Which in honesty I had no idea Papa John's had enlisted Door Dash's service) But once I told him that he again said he had nothing to do with it and I would have to call Murphy for a refund. (I had no idea who Murphy was and again we're paying cash). The driver then rudely states that he is cold and doesn't have time to deal with us and suggests that we give him $15 for the order. Okay so, the 2 liter was $2.99 and the total was $17.19. We never received the freaking 2 liter and we ended up paying towards an item we never received. Due to his rudeness, lack of customer service and not showing the least bit of understanding of the situation, I eventually had to walk off from the conversation and my 17 yo daughter went to get the adjusted amount when she returned to give the adjusted amount she had to almost chase the driver for the change from a $20 (as she puts it she had to pay the $15 because he was walking off). I understand it was cold and snowing but all I wanted to do was find where the error was and rectify the situation but he was extremely out of line. I don't know who dropped the ball on this one but I will be posting this review across any platform that I see fit. I use doordash and papa John's frequently and this experience has definitely left a sour taste. Not to mention it's not the first lackluster experience I've had with doordash. I'm starting to think this is the norm and doordash will hire anyone that's willing to drive for them. If I could give zero stars I would.
The delivery driver was top lazy to deliver my order to my door and when I asked him why he didn't enter my apartment building his response was "$#*! you."
If I can give them zero stars are negative number of stars I would it was a matter of about four times where my order was canceled at the last minute once I was already expecting the food and it was late. They would live on text message telling me that the Dasher was at the restaurant waiting on order that was a lie. They did not call me I had to call them and then they refunded my money and wanted me to wait 5 to 7 business days to get my money back. I paid for my food that night and my husband works overnight. I place the order around 7 PM to make sure you had something on his stomach they canceled it around 8:15 and then offered me a $10 credit. Are there customer service reps that I spoke to had a very hard Indian accent and when I asked to get a callback from the manager they told me it would take 24 to 48 hours very unprofessional I would not recommend door dash to anyone you make out better walking to get your food
Horrible customer service with representatives that do not know what they are doing while spreading misinformation, and do not help their customers whatsoever. One representative accused me of using 'profanity' when I very clearly did not. On top of this, their referral process often fails, leading to none of the entitled credits being given to the account. They also have cancelled multiple orders of mine on the same day as the restaurant was closed, although the app stated that they were open. Horrible company, with horrible service, as is clearly the bottom of the barrel when compared to the numerous other food delivery apps out there. I would highly recommend not using this service.
DoorDash is by far the worst of all the delivery apps. Were you hoping not to receive an item you ordered? Or to receive *at least* one incorrect item? Or to have to wait 20+ minutes for the delivery person after they've already left the restaurant that was only five minutes from your house? All while paying not only $9.99 for DashPass (which is a rip-off, by the way, because there is still a delivery fee for most restaurants) and ordering twice a week, but also having to pay the additional DoorDash fees with each order and tipping well, but then getting attitude from your slow delivery person and ending up with cold food every time. If DoorDash support was actually helpful and/or would re-imburse me, that would be one thing, but I can't even change the tip amount (where I'm tipping 18% for a person to go to a restaurant that's five minutes away from me and then call and expect me to come downstairs and outside to their car to meet them to get the food. What am I tipping you for? Because it's certainly not exceptional service). I've cancelled my DoorDash subscription and deleted the app. If I want delivery, I'll be using SkipTheDishes and UberEats from now on.
Yes. There is multiple things. On December 12th. I ordered from Buffalo Wild Wings the first time. This order never showed up. So I called customer support. She stated I could not get my money back but receive credit in order to reorder. I was fine with that. I ordered the It again. The food was made incorrectly from what I requested and there was chicken bones from where someone ate some of the chicken. There was an extra box in the bag. There was someone's leftover quesadilla burger half eaten also in the bag. I called again spoke with a man he stated someone would follow up with me. I never received the email no one documented that night. So I called today brought it to a woman's attention and she told me I would receive and email asking for more information and they will research. Less 10 min I received the email stated no compensation cause of my account history? I can't help that I give you guys feedback on the customer service I receive when something goes wrong.
We use several delivery services but doordash hands down is the worst. Part of our food order is missing every single time. They have terrible service. Its not worth the headache when there's plenty of other services who deliver your full order. I really don't understand whats going on with doordash. Its best to use a different food delivery service. Save yourself the headache.
I have use this company several times. This particular day, while I was at work. My mouth was watering for some wings. I placed my order which totaled to $21.34. I'm sitting here waiting and received a text message that my order was canceled and I would receive a refund within 5-7 business days. I immediately phone them and they informed me that my order was cancelled because the restaurant was closed. I called the restaurant and they were still open. I then called door dash back to let them know that were indeed open. They informed me that there was nothing that they could do considering the refund process. I'm very upset and will never use this company again.
The service is horrible! Late by 2 hours, if u get your delivery at all! They do not have drivers near your location! Use grub hub or pick up yourself! Save yourself time & aggravation!

Answer: Grubhub has lower rates now. Even on restaurants with higher fees, it is worth avoiding Doordash
Answer: They first send you to a robot and then an outsourced person in India I believe. There is no communication between drivers and the customer service so it's unhepful
Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
