Terrible company!

Their website is set up so it's difficult for you to get in touch with anyone in case of an issue with your order, so they don't have to deal with their customers. They just want to make money, they could care less about their customers or the employees that they steal from. I know several Dashers and they have many horror stories. All I can say is, Doordash is a company from hell. Do not give them your money, you will regret it. Give your business to the restaurants directly instead.

My driver never brought me my meal and doordash provided half the order back as credit and other half they claimed they would return to my bank. After 20 days I never received the refund. Basically I never got the order and they stole the money they claimed they would return. I then asked them to just give me credits and they said no. Horrible way to do business.

I have had several bad experiences with using Doordash, but this latest and last one has finally broke the Camels back. On the 16th of this month I use Doordash to make a delivery for me from a Pizza place. Yes it was a Snow strom day here on the east coast. It was well past the time of projected delivery but no one had called. When I called they told they couldn't get a driver, which I understood. So I figured I would get a full refund. Days later I happen to look at my bank statement when I notice a charge for 4.26, I called Doordash and asked them why I was charged 4.26? They said it was taxes. So I asked them if the order was cancelled how can you charge taxes on nothing and when I did r3ceive anything? They said I had 72 hours to notify them, something I was unaware in their policy. Second, it wasn't until I looked at my bank statement that I noticed the deduction. Eventually, after arguing back and forth they said I wouldn't get my money back So I told them I was done with them. Use Doordash at your own risk, they will rip you off.

I am, well WAS, a Doordash driver until today. My account was hacked and Doordash did nothing about it. They said since the money was already taken out of my account, they "could not recover them." When I spoke with a representative, she told me that she had received two calls today concerning this issue and that "Doordash is supposed to be sending out a notification to their drivers." My husband's account was also hacked and he lost at least two weeks of pay.

I am warning all Doordash Drivers to be wary of Doordash calls/emails/texts that tell you that your account has been hacked - those are the hackers! It is unbelievable that Doordash has known about this hacking issue, yet they have not notified those that they are supposed to be protecting!

My suggestion is to go with another delivery company (e.g. Uber Eats, etc. which has a more secure platform). As I told them, any food delivery drivers I come in contact with, I will be sure to tell them my story and to think twice before working for Doordash, they don't have your back.

I feel your pain if you have already been hacked...

App doesnt work. Got a gift card I can't even use because the app wont accept any form of payment. Wasted 30 minutes trying to order. Use any other delivery service!

Worst experience ever

This is the second time that I have ordered and gotten a text saying my food has been delivered and lo and behold its not there. When you contact them via help you are communicating initially with what appears to be a bot. There is zero explanation. After an hour of furious and hangry efforts I get "credits". I told them I don't want credits bc I will never use their terrible overpriced service again. I asked to be connected to a supervisor when I did get a live "helper" who agreed to convert my credit to money return. I was told the supervisor was reached but she said she was not available. Terrible unprofessional interactions

I have used door dash twice in the past two weeks. The first time the delivery was wrong. They delivered the wrong order and I am still waiting for them to contact me. No apologies no response to my complaint. The second time today. The rudest driver who wouldn't listen to instructions for delivery even telling me I would know when he is there by the gps and leave him alone. What happened? Five minutes later he is calling me lost like it is my fault screaming in his broken English. I almost didn't want the food because who wants something from someone with an attitude. Please god don't let door dash ever deliver something else for me. Never. I will starve first.

Do not use this company!

On December 13,2020 I ordered a $50 gift card to be sent on December 16 to a friend who had just had surgery. Unfortunately I did not have her correct phone number. The next day before 8 o'clock in the morning I called DoorDash and was told they could not help me but launch gift cards could and was given an email address. I sent a very clear email describing the situation and asking for it to be corrected. I received an automatic reply that said they would get back to me as soon as they could. I have sent numerous emails back asking for the status. I have since had to live chats where I was told that I would be getting an email that day regarding the status. I've never received an email! I did check in my junk email just in case and nothing was there either! Just today I have called DoorDash three times trying to resolve this issue. The first time I was told that they would get me to an advanced team I waited on the phone and a survey came up. I did the survey and the phone hung up! I am mediately called back and got a person by the name of Martin. Martin told me to hold and that he would be right back with me. Proximately 10 minutes later nothing! I am assuming he put the phone down and walked away. I called back immediately. The woman on the line took all my information and said she contacted the advance team and was told they were not willing to talk to me as they were backed up with multiple card issues! I asked to talk to a supervisor and was told a supervisor would tell me the same thing! I am being asked again to wait to get a status on this order. The gift card was supposed to be sent out yesterday so I have no idea there or not it was sent to a random person that I don't know, to my friend, or whether or not the order is on hold pending them doing something. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I typically do not write reviews but this is just awful! My advice stay away from this company.

The only reason I used doordash was because the restaurant I ordered from used them for delivery. I never received my order and I'm being harassed by the driver. I called doordash after the order was an hour late even though the restaurant is literally around the corner from me. They suggested I call the driver and gave me his number (?!), so I did. He told me "it's not my fault that I gave the wrong address" and then hung up. I called back and the call was declined. Then HE called back and of course I was angry and had colorful words for him... and after him saying I can't talk to him that way and that I was being recorded and he was going to sue me. I called and reported him to doordash and the restaurant. He then called me again the following day. So I had to report him again. Doordash made another report and suggested I report to the police as well. NOW, I have a doordash guy harassing me just because I ordered food and expected him to do his job and now I worry for my safety.

I've had two separate issues with this service in recent weeks. My latest which is very similar to the first issue involves ordering through a Popeyes app. Apparently they use Doordash for their delivery service. I placed my order and was advised in a text that my order should arrive by 7:25PM about 25 minutes later. About 7:45PM I tried to contact the driver through the text and got a recording stating the phone is not in service. I got a call from the driver (by mistake) about 7:55PM stating that he was trying to call corporate. Apparently he had been waiting in the drive through for half an hour waiting on my order and discovered the restaurant had closed. At about 8:45PM I get a call from Doordash support stating they have a second driver waiting in line at Popeyes to pick up my order so of course I asked who was lying to me? Being told one thing and then something totally opposite did not bode well for me. Of course by then I had made other arrangements so I asked them to cancel the order and made it known that this was ridiculous. Then I asked them to process my refund and to which I was told I had to call a different number. So the charade begins sending me in circles. The first time about two weeks ago was an order through a Jersey Mikes app which I also never got the order. I no longer trust Doordash as being a reliable delivery service and will from now on pick up my orders as this is much less of a headache. If I was able to give no stars, I would have done so. They don't even deserve that in my book.

I always order doordash

I always order from doordash, mind you I order so much it's not funny, and normally I genuinely enjoy my food. Tonight was an experience that has made me rethink ever reordering this company again. Not only did my food get dropped off at the wrong address(a few houses down), it was ice cold (mind you the temp was probably in the 40's) and at the wrong temp by the time I found my food. She did call but mind you I don't answer unknown numbers, but she could have texted so I could see it was the dasher. So I called the number back, just incase it was the dasher, to hear that she had other orders that she was not able to turn around that I would receive a call in a bit. Once I received the call the guy on the phone stated he is going to mark that I got my food. Which I guess is true considering I had to search and hunt for my food. If I knew how bad the service was tonight I would have ordered from grubhub or ubereats at least I get my order all the time and don't have to run and search for it for at least ten minutes. The way the service was presented tonight has made me rethink my options over and considering I order almost every day, I will now take my business elsewhere to a company that not only delivers my food to the right location.

Negative 3. The score they deserve. This company hires the worst drivers. The app sucks too. Didn't get my order and the driver ignored my calls and texts. Happened to my sister as well. She lives in another state.
So, That, including the other reviews here, I can tell that this company is a crap show.

Funny thing is, I would never use them after their app kept rejecting all my payment methods that worked perfectly fine on Grubhub. Pizza Hut was short staffed and decided to use Doordash. I told management as well as corporate how bad this company is and they should consider a different one.

Potential scam

My experience was terrible with this service. I placed an order and noticed that the dasher picked up my order, then cancelled it. In speaking with Hazel in customer service, they didn't seem very interested in making my experience better as all they said was, "you have to wait 3-5 days for it to be credited back to your card." Why would I ever use this service if your dashers pick up orders and not deliver. In reading other reviews, it seems this is happening on a very reoccurring basis. Removing this app and posting more negative reviews unless customer service can do something about this.

Stressful Sunday

I ordered through the Denny's app at 9:53 this morning. At 10:03 I received a confirmation that Door Dash was handling the order alonf with a tracking link. I even received a text from "Jose" the "Dasher". The order was supposed to arrive at my location 10:37. At 10:38, I clicked the link to see where "Jose" might be and it said he was on his was to the restaurant (?!). At 10:48, I received a Door Dash notification that my order had been cancelled "due to an unexpected issue experienced by the Dasher." When I tried to reach out to "Jose" I received and automated "We're trying to find another Dasher" response. So I called the restaurant. I was told that the food had been picked up "a while ago" and that a woman picked up the food, but they had sent three different people to get the order. So I called Door Dash Customer support and was told that the restaurant would have to call because I placed the order through the Denny's app! I asked why and they said because it was hamdled through a different department. So I asked to be transferred to that department and the agent said she couldn't because I didn't have the merchant's credentials for that department to be able to address it. So I called the restaurant again. The manager told me she would take care of it, but, in the meantime, she would replace the order and have one of her employees bring it to me, bypassing Door Dash altogether. Denny's gets 5 stars. Door Dash would get less than 1, if I could!

Never got my order

I don't normally use Door Dash, but I wanted to try a different restaurant than my usuals. Estimated time for delivery was 40-50 minutes. The food was ready in about 45 minutes. After an hour I contacted Door Dash and the delivery person couldn't find my building. I live about 5 minutes from this restaurant. I am in a major downtown area and have deliveries all the time. Obviously, Door Dash is hiring people that are completely inexperienced, from out of town and are not familiar with my area. After 10 minutes on chat with Door Dash and then another 10 minutes of additional wait I wound up cancelling my order. 10 minutes to order, 50 minutes estimated delivery and another 20 plus minutes waiting and contacting them. Total time - nearly 1 1/2 hours with no food. I finally cancelled and made myself scrambled eggs! Door Dash had the nerve to ask if I wanted a credit! They charge about $6 for delivery, $3 for a service charge and add a $10 tip. Almost $20 for this service! Are you kidding me?

My first experience using DoorDash, and it was extremely disappointing. The delivery person did not ring our door bell, left the food on our doorstep. The pizza and soup were consequently cold. The final price was $7 more than I was quoted. Then I found chicken on my caesar salad that I did not order. I cannot find any provision to contact DoorDash to complaint and dispute my bill. I am grateful for my friend's gift card to use DD. Now I have to discreetly advised my friend to stay away from DD.

Beyond done with Doordash

I am so sick of Doordash. This isn't the first time I've placed an order only to get no order updates, had to call the restaurant myself and get confirmation that the order has been sitting there ready, and go pick it up myself after waiting for 45 minutes-over an hour. Then when I call Doordash the line is either dead or "not in service" and the chat says it's unavailable. I AM BEYOND DONE.

Don't bother

Wish I read the reviews before ever using Doordash. As someone that uses delivery services often, Doordash is the worst. Do yourself a favor and don't bother! The Doordash delivery drivers are awesome and very kind, customer service and all other aspects are really unprofessional they truly don't give a damn about their customers. A one star rating almost across the board? Sheesh, goes to show I'm not the only one left extremely disappointed and frustrated.

Constant Disaster

They are hit and miss on delivery times, usually late. They will shift the delivery times to the right frequently. Watch out at lunchtime... 25 - 30 minute deliveries often turn into 55 to 60-minute deliveries. After dealing with the delivery debacles there are cold food deliveries which happen about 60% of the time. It seems when I give more tips than the recommended amount the delivery time is at the max or late, most often late. Then dealing with the customer service $#*! clowns is a joke and a complete waste of time and air.

Driver with no integrity!

Driver indicated they delivered my dinner, and he failed to do so. He never called to say he had a problem finding my location. After I called him. He just said, you need to call Doordash customer service to complain. This is the perfect way (scam) to steal customer's dinner. Bottom line Doordash drivers in Miami are questionable to their honesty.
