I really do like the concept of this But let me tell you their driver leaves a lot to desired I've ordered amazing how my order gets delivered some where else...I always say bring it face to face as well as instruction how to get to me...yeah that doesn't work... I'm Allfor the American with disability act...but these people take the cake
I ordered food from door dash and the dasher came at the wrong time according to the tracker and she didn't ring the doorbell or call me and didn't leave my food and door dash denied my refund or didn't give me credit never again they robbed me out of my money
What a very big evening
1. My order was put in the bin
2. My order was put beside the bin
3. My order was put in someone else's bin
4. The dasher returned my order to the store
5. The dasher waited 20 minutes and then left
There were 5 of us calling and the following happened
1. Hung up on
2. Yelled at
3. Spoken to like crap
What we asked for:
1. Phone call logs
2. Phone call notes
3. Requested for a manager
4. Refund of annual service fee
Until recently I had no issues but this last order and their lack of willingness to fix the problem earned them this 1 star. I placed my order as normal, map popped up with the order info and showed the estimated time for arrival. Nothing was out of the ordinary. When I go to my door where they dropped the order for some reason there are two bags of exactly the same order. I go to check my account and they duplicated the order time and everything. When I submitted a complaint they said it's not their problem and since it was delivered it's my responsibility to pay for it. So they sent food I didn't order and refused to refund my money for the erroneous order. That is plain and simple theft and I will no tolerate it. Out of the dozens of orders I've placed only once tried to get a refund because half the order was missing. They treated me rudely in the chat and acted like I was somehow trying to steal from them. It's not my fault their system had an error.
Gave me a credit to their site, not a credit card credit and I didn't realize until it never showed up on VISA...then they said cant change after 3 days...so they keep my money? I will not be using them again totally unacceptable
Placed an order with them today the driver has specific instructions to call me when arriving and hand me my food well he didn't do either he left my bag on the concrete where ants attacked my food alot of them the driver didn't even ring the bell they can clearly see I am disabled I have a ramp they need to walk to get to my door DoorDash basically told me they can't refund my money or give me a redelivery I'm on 8 different medication had arranged for food because I knew my helper wasn't coming until the evening.Now let me tell you of another incident before today driver was caught on camera taking my food out my bag putting down a dirty foreman mills bag he had that was empty put the restaurant receipt on the empty dirty bag and left You stole my food & left this nasty empty bag why even come.And your company steals people money they said can you send pictures I had to touch tbe infested bag inside open so they can clearly see not edible while showing them proof ants crawling on my arms disgusting and you won't give me my money or redeliver Shut them Down Company & Drivers some drivers are thieves and incompetent
Don't even honor this lame company they let me go after 2 years of exceptional service because of a lie
They really need to stop letting just anybody deliver food because I'm convinced like 75% of them can't read. Just stupid. I'm done with them
Stop overy charging for fees and taxes and let us contribute more to driver tips! Looking at fees and taxes makes us rethink the driver tips on top of it!
Nasty driver are and drank my food. Doordash credit me 5 dollars on a 45 dollars order. Disgusting. Lost my money and never had dinner
I order this morning from Hardee's never got my order called and told them I never received my order and wanted my refund they said they couldn't refund me
Wanted to order off dash for the first time in 2 years.
Try to log in, tells me to verify by code.
Tries to send it to my old phone number I no longer have.
Look up how to update my phone number... easy just log in and change it in your profile.
Um... can't log in without the verification code sent only to your phone number.
So I look it up and they say click help other and get the code sent to your email, GREAT!
Click help other on the log in, sends me to FAQ page telling me how to log in and change my phone number in the profile (hair pulling out)
So I call customer service and explain my situation, the lady says she understands and wants to talk to someone to see what they can do.
On hold for 42 minutes.
She comes back and tells me I just need to log in and change the phone number in my profile.
Yup. Time to walk to the restaurant and get the food in person.
Doordash WOW!
So, I've been doing doordash for about 2 months now. If I weren't pathetically desperate, I would have stopped at week 2. The VAST MAJORITY of the time, the app fails miserably. The last 5 times I've attempted to dash, the app failed, and caused me to sit there making no money for 45 minutes to an hour, or even longer. Also due to this, it's hurt my metrics with the company. I've never refused an order, nor been late for any reason within my control. The app does not acknowledge this, so as it continues to not work, I continue to look worse as an employee. Very important note here: At all points in time I'm having issues, I'm not making money, and doordash will not even consider compensating me for my time. Add this onto the fact that, in my town, I can only schedule to work about 2-5 hours any given week. Typically I lose about 3-4 out of 5 hours of work time to the app failing. Tonight I worked for an hour and 30 minutes. I made under 5 dollars, due to the app. Two nights ago, I made 3 dollars in an hour an half, also due to the app failing to work properly.
The first two weeks they allow you work when you want. Those weeks, I made about 300-400 dollars. Every week since then, even getting to 100 dollars has been a struggle. If they ever just start paying an hourly rate, maybe it's worth doing. I say this because, even when the app does work right (that's happened twice so far out of over 20 dashes) you're being forced to drive back from the customer for free, to get back into busy zones. Sometimes it will take me out of the city limits even... so... yea driving back to town for 30 minutes for free, for someone who didn't even tip me, made me go down a dirt road, and gave me a total of less than 5 dollars for over an hour of my effort... is very common.
If you are trying to make money for anything other than your meth addiction, I do not recommend using Doordash to do it.
On 6/29/2023 AND THIS IS NOT, NOT THE FIRST TIME, PROBABLY THE 7TH, I placed an order with Door Dash and the delivery person, DID NOT RING THE BELL, DID NOT LOOK AT THE NOTES AND LEFT MY FOOD ON THE GROUND. This happens WAY TOO OFTEN WITH DOOR DASHERS AND DOOR DASH DOES NOT PROPERLY TRAIN THEIR DELIVERY DRIVERS TO BE CORDIAL, RING THE BELL AND AND PEOPLE THEIR FOOD. NO ONE, NO ONE SHOULD BE PICKING FOOD, FOOD OFF OF THE GROUND AND NOT KNOWING IT WAS THERE BECAUSE THE DASHER IS TOO RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO RING THE BELL AND HAND IT TO THE PERSON THAT THEY WANT THIS GREAT TIP FROM. THIS HAS HAPPENED SO MANY TIMES WITH MY ORDERS AND THAT IS WHY I AM WRITING THIS COMPLAINT. DOOR DASH, TRAIN YOUR DRIVERS PROPERLY, THIS IS INSANE. NO ONE WANTS FOOD THAT HAS BEEN LEFT ON THE GROUND AND NO ONE WANTS COLD FOOD OR NOT TO BE NOTIFIED THEIR FOOD IS AT THE DOOR.
My boss put a $20 credit on this App. When I tried to use it the total was less than $20 but Doordash still wanted my credit card... WHY? I could not order my lunch without putting my credit card info in so I cancelled my order. That is a scam. I know what kind of people they hire and I would never give out my credit card info or use Doordash myself.
Site was a good idea but might as well be going under. Dashers have stolen my food and dozens of stores either screw up or cancel my orders lately. Only thing I get from customer service is a refund and "sorry for the inconvenience hope the refund helps!" Reasons for my orders being canceled typically amount to "sorry they're too busy to want your money and business, but too dumb to close the store in the app" none of which fixes the issue of my still not having food to eat.
I just had a soup and 2 sandwiches delivered and the dasher was swinging my bag around like an idiot as he walked up. The soup spilled and the sandwiches were completely soaked. I messaged Doordash and they offered me 15.00 dollars credit for a 40 dollar order?!?! Just kept messaging there was nothing she could do. She even requested I produce a photo of the food which was now in the trash before she could do anything. I have the dasher on video swinging my bag around and she wants me to produce a photo of the food!?!?
I stopped the messaging and just called them. I was issued an immediate refund and 10 dollars credit. Yeah, I gave them hell but they were asking for it. Trying to issue a partial refund in this case is bizarre. They expect me to have no food to eat and pay 25 dollars. Crazy!
I was double charged for a order that was soggy and cold. I was given only $10 dollars of my 17.45 order just to be charged 17.45 in tips 3 days later that I don't authorize. I tried calling and messaging them for 3 hours straight just for them to I

The high paying orders have a plus at the end of it with after completing order nothing added. Rating is a scam
Ordered a birthday cake from Coldstone. Order was cancelled at the time it was supposed to be delivered. I would never order something like this again. Someone should have notified me prior to delivery time.

Answer: Grubhub has lower rates now. Even on restaurants with higher fees, it is worth avoiding Doordash
Answer: They first send you to a robot and then an outsourced person in India I believe. There is no communication between drivers and the customer service so it's unhepful
Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
