When you purchase tires from discount they push the free replacement warranty and you have to pay 40 dollars for a new warranty even though I have 3 certificates left NOTHING is free I should of known better
Discount Tire employees caused damages to my rims when they were hired to provide a service. Not to mention they didn't clean up the residue from their work. When I pointed it out they said they would pay for me to buy one new rim, admitting fault. We looked up the cost of the rims & he asked if we had a deal. I asked to see the cameras from that day to verify the employees caused the damage. Andy (store manager) laughed and said "I will replace cost of rims in full if you pay for the cost to replace our parking lot." Referring to the construction crew outside laying asphalt. Sarcastic. Very unprofessional. I asked for the owners information. They refused to give it to me. Nick (another manager) said he's "basically the owner" so to talk to him. He was going along with Andy laughing at the situation and said he will submit a claim but since I didn't take their offer he's going to put in the claim the rims have "road rash" on them so it will be disqualified. I'm highly upset by the treatment I've received and the service provided. I can't believe employees are allowed to act this way with customers. I'm appalled. Also, now I have a damaged vehicle! I do believe this is criminal!
Great tires and from background I'm understanding Michelin has something to do with the tire. Regardless the tire is quiet, great response, handling feels great. I paid total just under $600 with full wheel alignment and warranty. Well worth it we all know tire shops been lying and steeling. This one did an honest job for me.
I had photos ready, but seems new phones pics too big for this website.
They sold me a warranty on two sets of tires. Whenever I had an issue with anything they would tell me the warranty won't cover it, and you literally have to call the corporate office to get them to honor anything bigger than a tire plug. If you argue they will give up but I wouldn't suggest doing business these people. There are tons of great shops in the area that won't lie to you. I spent thousands of dollars here before realizing what a mistake I made. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
I have a 2008 LaCrosse Super that I do not drive often but needed attention due to a nail in a tire. I also knew the tires were at least 5 or 6 years old despite limited wear. I went on the afternoon of 7/21/2023 and it was busier than expected but I had planned my time to get new tires and so I entered regardless. First off I was never pressured to buy. I expected to pay ~$1100 as i had looked up the price of the tires I wanted. I was informed throughout my wait of the situation and appreciated I was regularly updated of my place was in line. During my service, I was informed that my 2 rear tire pressure sensors were bad and that they could tell my front two had been replaced in the past. I told them to fix them but only had to pay for one because of the amount i was spending in the first place for the tires and wipers. In conversation with my attendant, I learned that my wheel lugs were of the type that were not one piece. I myself asked about single or solid lugs and was told they carried them and that I could stop by any time and purchase them. All in all it was a great experience when it easily could have been horrible due to the wait. I recommend this place to anyone with tire issues.
Heard ok things about this place decide get my tires from here. At 1st I was told price 696.00. Then after trying card wasn't approved I was ok with it. I only wanted two tires at 1st... I say I go Walmart he came say I can help you get all four tires so you can be safe gave me price 402 I say all four tires he say yes... I say ok right at end only 3 tires then once I got home all tires are not same brand like I paid for. One on back different brand. I think cause I am lady they try take advantage like I didn't know any better. Not happy with out come of situation they all was pretty nice but what was say is not what was done.pic showing these 3 tires are not same brand two on front are silver edition one on back is cooper brand. Overall today my experience here wasn't the best...
I drove past 20+ tire stores to get to the Discount Tire in Lakeland...and it was worth it. I've always had great experiences at their stores in the Chicagoland area and wish they had stores in Tampa, but for now, I will travel to Lakeland.
I needed a tire replacement and for a couple tire sensors to be replaced and I got the usual exemplary service. The Discount Tire experience is always a good mix of being helpful, knowledgeable, cost competitive and timely. There are only a few brands that care about the customer experience like Discount Tire...I will continue to use this company for the foreseeable future. Thanks to Emmit for his help in getting my family in and out so quickly.
I went to the store located 881 W Hillfield Rd, Layton UT. I told them my tire was low and I had to continue to fill it with air. They said I needed to replace the rim, so I paid for that to be done. Only two days had passed when my tire was low again. I took it back to them, they said the tire with the rim replacement was fine, and that all of my other tires were bad. I wasn't about to trust them again so I went to Les Schwab. I dropped it off and picked it up a couple of hours later. They said there was a nail in the tire and they fixed it. No charge, it hasn't gone flat or had any issues since. Also, they said my tire tread was good in their report.
Went in for a simple 2 tire complimentary rotation and to look at the options of buying new truck tires. Found good truck tires for a decent price. BUT they ended up stripping all of my lug nuts and said it was from "the heated gases getting underneath the metal causing it expand." I would have to call B+++S++T. I have rotated tires all of my life including these on my 2019 Nissan Frontier and have brought them into shops to have rotation done. And I inspect the work to ensure they are tight. NEVER have I encountered this. Had to buy new lug nuts at $54.57. Yea, they got me on that but they can kiss that $1400 tire sale goodbye. At least they didn't blow up my engine moving my vehicle. Invoice #*******. Discount Tire off Watson Blvd, Warner Robins, GA 06/30/23
I went to the Hiram store for a tpms diagnostic tool test. Armand ran the test and explained the readings and tpms system.
I m have been (still am) a steady customer with Discount Tire for a good bit. They have always been professional helpful courteous quick and very hard working bunch. I can attest that they will go out of their way to help you.
Took my vehicle in to see if I needed tires. Customer service person came out and checked with his tire tread meter. He said meter indicated that I needed tires right away. I went home to discuss with my wife. Since I bought tires at Costco we decided to take there for evaluation also. Costco checked and said we had a lot of tread left and no need to change tires! In fact Costco said most likely will not need for another year at current usage level. Will never go to disinformation Discount tire again and strongly recommend always check with a more honest tire place for everyone.
Got an amazing deal at discount tire in Fort gratiot saved me a bunch of money on 4 tires very much appreciated thank you to the worker Jeff and to discount tire really made our day
Discount Tire is my go to for all things tires for my Audi. Yes there prices are over the top but I stop in to get my air checked and DT is just conveniently located near me. The manager Adam at the store located off the Sam Houston Tollway is just one of those guys who takes care of the customers. He does the research for the prices at other competitors and gives you sound advice on your purchase. I never have to go anywhere else because the whole team takes care of my care needs. Thanks, Adam and Ben they made sure this teacher left with great tires and not a empty hole in my pocketbook.
Yes as a discount tire today and I had to buy four new tires which I bought fire stone the other tires I bought from there had a 60,000 mile warranty and they only had 34,000 on them and I was wearing in the middle they said tire pressure was too high But remind you, they rotate them every time and put the tire pressure at 40 pounds and they said that was too high but the ones that did it and they said they could give me no credit because the tires are overinflated
Came in because of a flat tire a month ago. They didn't have the tire in stock, but they did a rotation for me. During this time, the tech broke two of my center caps but didn't say anything.
I had to come back a few days later for the new tire to come in, and that's when I noticed that one center cap was completely missing and another was badly cracked.
I brought this up to whoever I spoke with when I dropped my car off. He at first said *there was no possible way* one of his tech's could have been responsible, but I shut that down quick.
Discount Tire agreed to order in new replacement caps and to call me in a week. They never did, so I followed up and was told they were on order, to call back in a week. I waited a week and a day, still no callback, and called in.
Oh, they hadn't actually ordered the center caps and they were waiting on something? I spoke with Will, who was somewhat helpful, but every time I called in "Mo" who I was told is the manager was never available.
It's now been a month, and just to recap how Discount Tire thinks:
1. A technician broke customer property (no biggy, mistakes happen)
2. The technician didn't say anything (not okay)
3. The person I spoke with immediately tried to deny any responsibility
4. Discount Tire did not follow up, I had to
5. Discount Tire continued this trend 3-total times
6. I had to buy my own replacement center caps for the property they destroyed
I have used Discount Tires since I was a teenager, but after this I'm done. It's unprofessional, and all over something that is not and should not be a big deal.
My father has been a loyal customer of discount tires as long as I can remember so I've been a loyal customer of discount tire as long as I. Can remember. But after Thirty years of me buying tires from discount tire walked into a discount tire today And they told me they would not plug my tire because I put a plug in it to make it to. They would not help me for the 1st time in years. They told me no I am so disappointed in discount tire. I will take my business elsewhere refuse to help me. While I had a flat literally made me drive away on a flat tire versus helping me. I will never buy tires from discount tire again just because it is one small act. Call it what you want but I feel wrong as a customer making me drive away on a flat tire versus them just putting a new plug in it.
Even with an appointment have had to wait two hours for service. I will never go back. No true deal on tires. Got a flat waited three hours to get it repaired.
Was very specific as to the kind of wheels and tires I wanted for my Honda Element. Spoke with John and Eric at the Fredericksburg, VA store a number of times to arrive at choices I would be satisfied with. They were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in making sure I came away satisfied. When I arrived at the store, I was a bit late for the appointment, but they took me right away and got me out of there in less than an hour. All employees were nice, polite and obviously trained well. I don't know about other Discount Tire stores, but this one was off-the-chain fantastic! The ride back to Alexandria was awesome on my vehicle's "new shoes!" Could not be more pleased with my Toyo AT3 tires and Black Rhino Boxer wheels!
Some time ago. My wife went in this store to buy two tires for the front of our 2001 RX300. The store desk service man came to quote that the tires are ~$20 or $30 higher than what we found on the Wal-Mart web site. They agreed to match with with on line prices. Weeks after the tire replacement, our SUV developed thumping noises. I found out that the sway bracket on the passenger side missing its nut and bolt. I took the car to see a Lexus repair man and he said it missing the sway bar nut and bolt. It has to be someone was messing with them because it is no way to loose that nut he told us (very hard to came off by itself). He also discovered that one of the wheel lug is missing too...Oh I found out, one more thing, one of the 20mm nut near the sway bracket area (I don't know what it is called) almost came off. It would be a bigger disaster if the nut would be missing like the sway bar nut and bolt...We believed they were not happy with the profit they would make so they did cause this "trouble"?
I called in and ordered a tire because I had one that got a piece of rebar in it. I gave them the number on the tire. They ordered and got the tire in. They matched the price from Walmart but when I got home I discovered it was the wrong tire. I went back and they said they would replace and call when it was in. I gave them a day and called to see when it would be in. They said they had it. Now I had already waited 2 hours to get the wrong tire. I return to the shop and sat there for 2 more hours as many others came and went. I had an appointment I needed to make and was assured they would move me up because of the mistake they had made. I missed the appointment. It was one tire. I have been doing business with them for many years. The manager was there and never acknowledged me or the mistake that they had made. I will say that the technician did apologize and said that if he had known the situation he would taken care of me immediately. I think that may next set of tires will be from another dealer and I will encourage everyone else I know to do the same. As I sat there for a total of over 4 hours I heard many other stories and remarks about the turnover of employees. Sorry this is so long but I wanted to include the good and the bad.
Answer: Price and price alone. You pay for what you get. No service, no resolve, no customer care, and no truth to their word.
Answer: I made an appointment online in the morning and had tires rotated that afternoon.
