One of the Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus tires I bought blew out. I went to get a replacement and found that I needed new tires. These had a warranty of 50k and lasted only lasted 10k miles.
They prorated the tires only about $200 on the purchase

The tires were bad and the experience was bad

On 1/6/25 Discount Tire improperly lifted our vehicle on the power running boards instead of the frame causing significant damage.
We initially had it into Christian Brothers Automotive and they charged us $947.23 to repair a broken bracket, which we paid. But they found this did not correct the problem because the body had been ripped apart as well so they sent us to a body shop for that repair.
Eagle body works estimated at minimum $14,732.24 with the possibility of supplemental charges as the repair was ongoing. Estimated time to perform the repair is 4 weeks.
I had the vehicle sold for $35,000 prior to this damage cause by Discount Tire, the party is no longer interested due to the damage.
A comparable rental vehicle for the 4 week repair is $3,611.97 according to Enterprise rental.
Estimated depreciation is $5000-$7000.
My wife has a bad back and has to lift our son into the vehicle every time he gets in due to the lack of the running board working and Discount Tire's insurance company www.FleetResponse. Com representative EMILY WRIGHT rarely if ever responds. They clearly are dragging their feet and know the pain it is causing my family. Emily has been non responsive on multiple occasions and rarely responds until prompted multiple times. She has offered $15,679.47 and does not account for loss of use, depreciation or the rental. This does not make us whole and is going to force us to take this to litigation which the lawyer says will take up to 2 years. I am not going to take the hit of turning this into our insurance company as I do not want this on our record when it is clearly Discount Tire's fault. I have two emails of admission of liability from them stating this.

Poor shipping time!

Told me my wheels would be here on Friday.
My tires were ordered two days later and still beat the wheels which are supposed to here on Monday!
Tires came from the same state!

I waited 1.5 hrs while 3 people came in behind me without appointments and had their jobs done before me. White Lake MI. Complained to management was told sorry I'd be next. They put 1 more car in front of mine after that. I got in line to demand refund then they grabbed my car. Staff unprofessional. Will never shop here again.

I had a leak in my tire that I purchased from this location. Was told had to wait 3hours. When I was over a mile away I receive a text from Journey Tracker informing me when to return and when it will be completed….Well after returning and waiting another 45 minutes and counting I wrote this review.
Bummer can't even get that correct.
If you invest to assist customers then make sure it works. It's currently 2:22 pm

I want to write my experience with the product and service the discount tire provided to me over the past year. I changed the four tires at the store about one year ago. At that time, they told me that I had an 80,000-mile guarantee from the tire company and that if anything happened to the tires, they would replace them at no charge if I paid some price for that service. So I paid all the services they recommended. Last week, I received an email from them stating that I should get a tire rotation service for free, so I sent my car to the store. It turned out that my front tires were in such bad condition that they gave me a warning that I had to change them immediately. Otherwise, I would be at risk if I drove the car on the road. They said that the damage to the front tires was due to a mechanical issue, but I did an alignment service within the last year and had no idea what was wrong with the tires. They still charged me the full cost for replacing these two tires. What they offered before was nonsense. There is no guarantee at all. The tires lasted only one year and less than 10,000 miles. My wife mostly just drove the car to and from school. It's ridiculous that I could rely on these tires for 80,000 miles. It just survived around one year and less than 10,000 miles, and I have to replace these tires. What a shame for the service and products. Please pay attention that what they said is conditional.

Was a loyal customer in vegas, I moved to arizona because of my doctor I have parkinson's disease I go to bring my daughters For new tires, The store is located in Kingman Arizona on Stockton hill road. Rudy was nice.He gave me a discount on my daughter's tires, One of my other cars rims got scratched up really bad, He was gonna repair it then.He suggested a discount on my daughter's tires, I said cool.And then I had a two hundred dollar manufacturer discount credit card, I happened to go in on the day he was off, There was a rude young manager there, He probably was a member of an executive of the company.The way he treated me, I wouldn't use my credit card. He thought I was drunk, he said do you want me to help you! I was like yes, please.Isn't that your job, With tremors it's hard for me with my right hand the card wouldn't go in the slot and then it wouldn't read, And he said some stuff and he was laughing At me, So later on, this young kid comes up to me and employee said the rim is broken.I'm sorry, But I have witnesses and kept the number of the ordeal, There's nothing they can do.The kid get fired so I went home and I called corporate, Corporate reaches out to me, one of their executives.And chris the corporate attorney, Tells.
Me through a billion dollar business, They don't need me the own tire rack,If I come there one more time.They will have me arrested, Because I set multiple messages to their support team, The support team wanted to help me, But they can't do nothing with executives or the owner, They told me not to bother them.I left multiple med messages. That they would have be arrested if I bring my Cars back in for air rotation or whatever I paid for was voted, I don't understand because they're from scottsdale in phoenix, And they own companies and they know people, Attorneys will not take my case It is just sad because you're disabled.And someone puts a label on you and treat you bad and they think they have power, Because their head hunters from scottsdale. Unfortunately I know everything about their company and the owner. Is the original owner new craig jackson well, He is baron jackson auctions in scottsdale, Nice person I can't say that from discount.Tire the owner, They are truly evil people.I can't believe attorneys cower down to them, I only wanted what I paid for and I didn't want it to be treated like garbage. But they don't like people that are disabled.They even bother me when I park in handicap spot. So I would not bring your car there for tires.Go to a mom and pop's place spend the extra money, They're just gonna use it for their mansions and Scottsdale the golf club membership and their porsche and Mercedes, Just because the owner's rich doesn't mean he needs to treat people like garbage, If it wasn't for people like us he wouldn't have his lifestyle... Terrible customer service after the sale

Its been 10 years since I purchased fron discount tire and today I was reminded why when I went back for simple tire repair on new tire 6 month old. A simple plug to fill a nail hole through the thread. All they want to do is SELL you new tire. I detest this companies policy toward its customers and will never purchase from discount again.

Bad business

First time I bought tires for my 3500 ram they put two different tires on first. Then when I went back they said I had to prorate the tires to put the same on.
Second time I put all new tires on my Toyota had a vibration and the tire sensor keeps coming on. Took it back they checked the balance and said one was out ok. The tire sensor they said I had to take it to Toyota. The sensor never came on before. Then they didn't but all the lug nuts back on. NO I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN

Faulty Tires

Tires had premature tire rot, After speaking with Discount Tire Direct and Maybe a manufacturer defect, They didn't want to go any further. I purchased many tires from them, Now I really see how there's no customer service, I will never buy again from them.

WAIT TIME

Drove an hour for an appt. That was scheduled at 9:15 and still took an hour to get the vehicle back even though there were only 3 of 6 bays in use. Was there for over 2 hours and management never acknowledged anything.

I usually go to this place for every tire need for the last 5yrs. But they messed up my car and won't make good on it.i bought tires in 2023 and went in for tire rotation and one lug nut was stripped on and they had to break off the stud. I asked the guy what now he said "sorry.they do sell the studs at auto zone. But you'll have to take it to a mechanic to fix it." The last time my tires came off the car was when I bought new tires from Discount Tire. Going elsewhere now, SUGGEST YOU DO TO!

Everyone is always so kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and experienced! When I went to visit for some tire pressure sensors dying they explained the why and the process of fixing them. They even relearned my sensors and fixed a leaking valve stem which was very kind of them! Overall experience was a 11/10!

I have been buying my tires at Discount Tire in Altoona Ia. For about 10 years. I had my Buick Century dropped off to have the snow tires rotated onto the car. They gave me the line that two of the tires were worn below 5/32" and they consider that to be worn out, and can't put them on. I asked them to just put the two better tires on, but they refused to put snow tires on the FRONT OF A FRONTWHEEL DRIVE CAR! I worked in the tire industry for nearly 30 years, and have never heard such drivel. They told me they had to put the snow tires on the rear of a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CAR! This is a blatant attempt to sell me tires that I don't want or need. Ive been in a wheelchair for a few years now, but I'll get them put on myself. I will not darken the door of ANY Discount Tire ever again. Over the last 10 or so years, I've spent close to $5,000 and now they think I can just throw my money away on needless crap. I bought my snow tires from DT, had them rotated every 3-5K miles, and now all of a sudden, I need new tires.

Needed a new tire...

Needed a new tire after only 5 months of having them placed. When Discount tire placed the tires (4), they gashed the lower back near the tire area. They also knocked out my sensor that registers the tire pressure. Fast forward to today. I took the car in because I have a slow leak from a nail on the front passenger side. They then proceed to state that the reason that the driver's sensor is not picking up is because the tire is gnawed up on the inside. This right there tells me that they put a BAD tire on the my car in the first place especially since the sensor was working pre me taking it in. I had only went with the sensor being out because I seriously had no plans to return to this place and was going to take it elsewhere. I only recommend this place if you want your car fkd up or if you wantpoor quality products!

Went to Discount Tire to have one flat tire replaced due to a hole in the sidewall. When I showed the attendant the flat tire, I told him that all I wanted was a replacement for that tire. Without saying anything and ignoring me, he walks around the car to look at the other three tires and then proceeds to tell me I need to replace all of them. I told him that he was wasting time and again that I was only interested in replacing the one flat tire. Despite what I said, he wanted me to look at a poster inside the store to try help sell me on replacing all of the tires, which I refused. I was frankly taken back by the contempt the attendant had for me as a customer. I won't be buying anymore tires at Discount Tire anytime soon. On the tire that I did replace, at check out he added about 25% on to the price he verbally quoted earlier explaining that he added a replacement warranty and a tire disposal fee. Beware of the deceptive pricing tactics. Their sales tactics exude nothing but contempt for their own customers.
