The only pro to working with Discount Mugs are their prices. If you know exactly what you want and know there will be no edits to the design, Discount Mugs is fine. If you think anything could go wrong, select a different supplier. Dont make the same mistake I did.

My experience with Discount Mugs was truly the most terrible service experience of my professional career, and Ive been buying promo goods for 7+ years. My order was placed on August 16th and the items arrived on September 2nd.

-The first proof received from Discount Mugs looked like it had been designed by a Kindergartener. Not even close to the design I approved on their site.
-Their site says, Please allow 24-48 hours for our design team to update your artwork after your edit. It took them 5.5 days, and that was only after me bugging them.
-Once into production, they had two separate back-ups in production. Meaning, my items were supposed to ship on 8/24, then 5/25,8/28, and 8/29. They finally shipped on 8/30.
-On 8/29, I paid $140 for overnight shipping. Their CSR promised me the items would be overnighted. It was a fun surprise to learn on 8/30 that my items shipped FedEx Ground, 3-4 business days.
-Being on the phone with their service team is a miserable experience. I had three separate calls, each lasting over an hour, where Im on hold for extended periods of time, and every agents English is poor at best.
-They refuse to handle any questions or service related concerns via email. You must call in.
-They followed-up the order asking how my experience was and too offer a discount on my next order. The agent clearly had no idea about my service experience. Their internal communication is poor as the left hand is not talking to the right.

I refuse to ever use Discount Mugs and I strongly advise anyone interested in their services to look elsewhere. The extra $$$ is worth your time and overall happiness.

Awful, Disorganized.

Overall I have been dissatisfied with this company. I approved the image proof as soon as it was received, my product was continually delayed periodically for 3 weeks past the initial arrival date. The item tracker online is never accurate. I received a photo of a sample printed bag that did not look anything like the logo I approved. They advised they would amend the bag to match the logo I approved then a get an e-mail 3 days later saying the item had shipped. The bags I received were completely different and obviously for another customer. They offered me a $150 in store credit for the inconvenience, I informed them that I did not want to buy anything else from them and wanted a refund on my card and for more than $150. They agreed to a credit card refund but would not help reimburse me for the additional costs I had to accrue. I am still waiting the arrival of my bags which will take an additional 10 business days. Some of the customer service representatives are friendly but a majority of them are combative, not understanding and difficult. If you want cheap products they may look like the logo you chose and that you will have to constantly follow up with, use this company.

Never order from them.

My first choice was Vista Print; however, despite very responsive customer service, they couldn't meet meet a two week deadline without significant surcharges. DiscountMugs was the only place whose estimated shipping date was within my window and their price was reasonable. Unfortunately, all that was simply window dressing for a company that, quite frankly, is clearly only interested in getting your money as fast as possible.

Firstly, my artwork was uploaded incorrectly with no indication that the process was faulty. (No specified file formats were given, but their site automatically downsampled a perfect vector image to a resolution that was unusable for printing. Vista Print's file formats, in comparison were clearly spelled out and all worked perfectly.)

Secondly, my repeated attempts to contact them to verify the shipping window were met, effectively, with responses of "we don't care" and "just keep waiting" from multiple service reps. When I finally go through to someone who seemed at least moderately helpful, he then refused to respond to any subsequent messages after promising to "monitor" my order.

Throughout the entire process my shipping estimate remained consistent it was scheduled to arrive ONE DAY before my event, which was the time listed on my original order. That is until the product actually shipped, at which point the "estimate" was magically changed to two weeks later. Not one day or two days as would be a reasonable delay, but TWO FULL WEEKS.

That instantly transformed my product from a "welcome" gift to a "thank you gift". Unfortunately, upon finally reading the reviews on this site, it looks like I will well be throwing the product directly into the trash whenever it actually does arrive.

The purposely misleading print times are nothing short of fraud on the part of this company. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. When ordering from a site called "discount" mugs, you're probably going to get what you pay for. In this case, it seems customers are unlikely to get even that.

And the only reason my review is two stars is that I haven't actually seen the physical product yet. But if it's anything like what what other users have described, even one star will be too much.

Terrible Business

If I could give negative stars, I would! This company took 8 days to make our 40 wine glasses, 36 coffee mugs and 50 coasters. Then another 6 days for shipping. I can't even begin to explain the terrible quality of product that arrived. Half of our logo & writing was "rubbed off" when it was said to be ENGRAVED, the coasters were completely off-center, and the coffee mugs were dirty, dingy, and it was clear that the "imprint" was actually just a sticker. Knowing that we were supposed to be gifting these to client who spend $200,000-$1,000,000 with us, we could not gift this to them. Multiple products were shattered upon arrival, and all that weren't, needed to end up in the garbage anyway. When talking to customer service to try to get a refund, we were told to take MANY photos and send them via email to Iyanna. She accused us of not sending her emails, altering the products/photos and damaging the products ourselves. Then refused to send us a refund until they received the product back and could inspect them, as if she didn't believe us. She dodged our phone calls, didn't respond to our emails, and sent us labels to ship her the boxes with well over $700 of product and the return name was not only not the purchaser, but a random name. It took 15+ phone calls, 20+ emails and ONE FULL MONTH to remedy this situation. Do yourself a favor and go with a company who cares about their customers and takes pride in the product they produce. UPDATE... the company did make good on my order and send tumblers to replace the ones which were misprinted.

Horrible. Just horrible. 7 of the 12 tumblers ordered were printed incorrectly. To add insult to injury the only remedial action offered was a partial credit which is only good for future purchasesAND the credit expires in 90 days. As if I would place another order from this company. When I indicated that this remedy was not satisfactory they stopped communicating with me. BIG surprise. Seriously folks, find another company to do business with.

8/2 ordered glasses and boxes for glasses for daughter's bachelorette party. Impressed when I saw they had shipped and to be delivered on 8/8. Fed Ex guy delivered my package into my hands. When I saw one box I asked where are the two boxes that were in my shipment notification. He said one box shipped (one box delivered). So I opened figuring that maybe they were light. Well I got a bunch of bubble wrap and 12 small boxes for over $100. I chatted and I called and these idiots never got I only received one box and it wasn't the most important part! I needed the glasses. They kept insisting your order "was delivered" and I tell them again yes but only the boxes, even providing them with pictures. Promised call backs, promise to put back in production since I needed them by 8/18 but nothing, dead air so my credit card company will take care of it. Buyer beware, these people suck!

I had been doing business with Discount Mugs for years.

Unfortunately, I will no longer be using them.

They recently shipped me a product which was printed in the wrong color (Black on Royal Blue instead of white on royal blue).

They claim that I accepted a proof, which I never saw, for the black ink.

Considering we have placed similar orders 5 times with Discount Mugs, I was offended by their paltry offer to refund me only $65 on a $277 order. The order should have been replaced, next day, free of charge. That would be how a professional company handled it.

Long story short, I'll never do business with them again.

P.S. - your online designer is extremely buggy. Fix that and you might retain more customers.

Wow, I am surprised at all the negative reviews. My experience has been nothing but positive, from the quality of the product to the responsive customer service. I have ordered approximately 5 times for my business over the past 2 years - marketing swag. Everyone loves the stuff.

We placed an order with Discount Mugs to be used for an upcoming trade show. Even though we ordered weeks in advance, they kept changing the shipping date, so we called several times to make sure the order would be there on time.

The kept pushing the arrival date closer and closer to our show, so we went to great lengths to ensure that an order would be delivered the Friday before our trade show (it started the following Monday), even though it should have been there before given when we placed the order.

We kept asking for a tracking number, but they kept telling us they would give that to us as soon as it shipped.

Friday came around and we knew nothing of where the order was, so we called. It turns out that--despite our calling and checking in repeatedly--they hadn't bothered to make our order at all. They said they could rush it and have it there by Monday, but that was the best they could do. We kept asking if they could overnight it so that it would be there on Saturday seeing as how it was supposed to already be there, and the show was scheduled to start that Monday, but they simply shrugged their shoulders and said there was nothing they could do, sorry.

Our order, which we had placed several weeks before our trade show, got there on the first day of the show and with very little concern from Discount Mugs.

We asked about compensation and they agreed to get back to us, which they never did.

Will not be using them again.

Never Again!

These people are shady! Our nonprofit organization ordered from them for an upcoming event and they doubled our order and charged us twice without permission. When we called them on it, they refused to correct their mistake! Not only did we get charged twice for an order WE DID NOT MAKE, the second half of the order won't even arrive on time for our event! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS!

They printed my mugs with the wrong shade of green but refused to replace the order. You should also know that I was told by one of their reps that the mug imprint area is set for mass production which is a pretty small area. My logo ended up way too small but they didn't care about this complaint either. Another complaint I have is that you have to purchase the mugs first in their website before you download your artwork and are able to see a proof. Supposedly they don't charge your card until you approve of their proof but it's a stressful situation.

Disappointing

We gave mugs away for Christmas gifts before realizing they were not safe to wash, or have very hot liquids in, without disturbing the imprint. The logo melts off in the dishwasher, or comes off on fingers. They work well for holding pens and pencils. The web site reveals that they must be hand washed if you dig deep enough into the fine print. On the mug order page it says "Our discount ceramic coffee mugs are made from nonmetallic clay materials which have been hardened by heat, usually in a kiln. This makes the mugs durable enough for daily uselike constant washing in a commercial kitchen, or frequent caffeine refills during the course of an eight-hour day." which turns out to be true if they are not printed - but that is not stated. Beware.

Unless you have a VERY basic design, do not use discount mugs. Our order looked nothing like the proof and customer service told me it was my fault for not calling for an individual consultation. The proofs mean nothing. Then they wanted us to pay an additional $900 to have it reprinted in better quality with a different machine. Why was this machine not used in the first place? Do NOT use them.

Lied indicating items were shipped when the didn't meet the deadline blamed it on FedEx until info was verified.
Was extremely nonchalant about the inconvenience caused. Would not recommend purchasing anything from them.

I operate a non profit and have used Branders.com many times. My last order went wrong but they ultimately fixed it. I placed 2 orders in late November 2016. One they had to cancel and the other one was for $825. They have kept my money for over 90 days saying that the bags were on "backorder". I finally called them yesterday and asked where my bags were since they have had the benefit of my $825 since the end of November (90 days). They said they would be delivered in 2 weeks.

So today they called and said the order would cost another $300 if I wanted it because the embroidery was more expensive. They said they would lose money on the order if I didn't pay more. They said I took advantage of a 20% discount when I placed it and they wouldn't be profitable on the order if I didn't pay more. ARE YOU KIDDING ME WITH THIS? This company cheats people, holds $824 of a non profits money for 60 days and then tries to back out of the order if I don't pay MORE. DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

I am a Senior Vice President at a Fortune 500 company and run sales. When my company messes up with a valued customer we FIX IT. We don't hold their money, cheat them and then cancel their order. If we have to take a loss on an order due to OUR mistake then we do that.

Not BRANDERS. Do you want to know what they offered me? 15% off my NEXT order. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Why would I EVER give Branders any more of my money when they've effectively taken out a LOAN from me for 90 days, used my money and refused to process the order that they took and priced? I didn't create my own price for the product that I ordered.

Please whatever you do, go to another company to place your order. Especially if you are a non profit because every dollar counts. I will be turning this company into the Better Business Bureau and writing as many reviews as websites that take reviews exist. Just please do yourself a favor and click off this website and do not spend your hard earned money with a company this dishonest."

Terrible serves

I made a view in November if 2016. I made several attempts to call and get information about my package. They sent one message saying sorry and then send me one right away. That was back in January and whenever I ask for a refund they say they cant give me a refund or the item I bought. This place is a scam don't ever shop here!

I placed an order in late October and didn't receive a tracking number for over a week. The order was for a Christmas gift. One little item. About two weeks before Christmas i contacted customer service because the tracking number was still not registering. I contacted them three times within a week before getting a response. They told me that the order was backed up because of an issue at the warehouse and that it was not shipped. I asked for a refund and they responded saying they couldn't refund it because it already shipped. They also promised me that it would be here by Christmas. Christmas came and went with no delivery. The tracking number STILL does not work. I found a similar item on Amazon and it was delivered in two days and shipping was far less.
