Had a problem with our dish. They called to fix it. Said they'd show up. Took off work. They were a no show. 2 days in a row. No show. I called. Said. I'm canceling. Spent 6 hrs on the phone. Told them to cancel my service. They said they would. Yet. Didnt. Kept charging month after month on my bill. Trying to steal from me after I calcelled. TALK ABOUT LAZY CROOKS! THANK GOODNESS FOR CHARGE BACKS ON CREDIT CARDS! OR THEY WOULDVE JUST TOTALLY RIPPED ME OFF. CANT CALL OR TALK TO THEM. CROOKS!

We have three services with AT&T, our wireless, internet and TV. When AT&T stream changed over to Directv, another account was created without our knowledge. About three weeks ago, my husband I noticed that there were double charges made to our bank account from Directv Stream. When we first noticed the double charge, we reached out to Directv to see why. They told us that we had two accounts. We started to look back at the charges and realized that we had been double charged all of last year. Directv had no issues with refunding us our money from August to December of last year, however, they said because we had reached their maximum of what they could refund to us, we needed to dispute the charges with our bank. We did and our bank denied our claim because they said that the transactions were more than 90 days old. So I called Directv back and I was told that I could'nt get my money back. I escalated the issue because I'm getting my money back, After almost a month, I currently have over $500 sitting on a closed Directv account. I want Directv to do the right thing and either put that money on my current open account or cut me a check. They want me to believe that they cannot give me back my money because it's been over a year. I present this scenario to Directv: If I were getting Directv service for almost year that I wasn't entitled to and Directv caught it almost year later, they would most certainly come after me to pay for the service I got free for a year.

Dear Directv: I WANT MY MONEY BACK! It's the right thing to do and I'm not being unreasonable.

Gas and groceries have doubled and Direct TV raised my bill by $50. I am cutting the cord. Returning the equipment is proving to be a nightmare. My first call was to cancel service. They took several days to get around to scheduling the stoppage and I never got an email or mail with instructions for returning the equipment. The only thing the website told me was what had to be returned but no additional instructions. Three days after the cutoff date (which I eventually located by signing in to the site) I still had no email and called again. I was told that FedEx would package the equipment to send back and all I needed was my account number. After a 20-minute drive to the local dropoff location I was told that I had to have an RFN number, whatever that is. I called again and was told that they would send me a label - by snail mail, no less! And it would take another 3 to 5 business days. It looks like they are going to require me to pack it up myself. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there was no supervisor available to speak to me now because they were helping others. I just want to get rid of the equipment! I am so mad I could spit. I would love to find one of their trucks and throw it into the back but they would charge me for that, too! When this is finally over with, I am never going back to them. I am tired of being gouged and charged for services that I don't want or need. I am so mad I want to just spit! Oh, also, they dropped OAN.

I had been with Direct TV for 10 years. My bill had progressively increased and was atrocious. I called to cancel the service and that is when all the hell began. I had to call about 7 times "because my call kept being disconnected". I finally get through again, only to find out I have to call another number to cancel service. I was told we would have the service until a specific date and I had to return the 10 year old equipment by a specific date (was told I was already up through a certain date). Well, I got another bill for another month of service! I have been on the phone 50 minutes now trying to speak to someone about this! And this is my 3rd call today! First, they told me my December payment didn't go through. When I said I had the confirmation number and the debit that came from my account, they said it was the charges from December! I am so mad and keep asking to speak to a manager, but I think a manager doesn't exist! They are so terrible and their customer service is beyond disgusting! I'm still on hold as I type this! Cancel service, they continue to bill you. Yeah, makes sense... I hope they go out of business and everyone moves to streaming TV! Karma!

Lied about Reward

Do not use Directv. Switched from Dish to them. Was told would get a $150 reward from switching. Went to enter reward request, when doing entry it was there and told have to attach previous bills from Dish. Had to request them as paid auto payment. When got went back in and reward was gone. I chat on line, said not there. Called and talk to MANY people with Directv. Basically told NO, not getting. LIED to me! My wife had told me this would happen!

Horrible

The system has been installed for less than 3 weeks, it's been down less than it's been up. Today it went out for the fourth time. Since they can't provide the service they are charging me for, I asked that the Uninstall their equipment, of course there's a cancelation fee. They can't provide a service, but they can darn sure charge fees. Avoid them, absolutely useless.

Directv is overpriced, has bad customer service and is UnAmerican because it censors free speech and truth. I was blocked from it's blog for stating truth. Directv is censoring content because they have become pure propagandists who only want to put programs who lie to it's customers instead of those who tell the truth. Directv is no better than those who ban books they do not like. I will be utilizing my freedom of choice against this Un American company by dumping them like a rock and going to free, fair, less expensive streaming services.

I changed from DIRECTTV to DIRECTTV Stream in Oct 2021. I'm still waiting for my $202.01 refund I was just told I may receive it in Fed 16 2022!

I have nothing but trouble with Direct TV customer service. Exam your monthly bill carefully…. They will add a charges that not supposed to be there. You waited hour to talked to customer service. They tell you that they will remove charges but never did. AT&T are the worse company to do business with. They don't care about their customers. Their Representatives all foreigners. You cannot understand them. Horrible

It's fine til you want to cancel your service. We did everything as specified and were owed a refund of $53.63. That was 6 months ago. Still waiting…………… we returned our equipment within days of canceling, prepaid our last billing online so we would get a refund. 1st they tried to say we didn't return equipment on time ( LIE) then they admitted they got equipment on time, admitting we were owed a refund. Took three months to file refund. 26 days later we're still waiting on refund. Have made dozens of calls to customer service. Most calls eat up 4hrs out of my day speaking with various representatives who's calls magically drop out just when the details of our refund are supposedly coming, then I have to call back and start all over again. We have gotten no where. Ready to file small claims court to resolve issue. That will cost us $40 more than what we are owed…. See I have to imagine they count on that. That you won't do it, and they pocket your money. I even tried calling the refund vendor who told me they have no record of our acct or refund and to call Direct Tv back. What's NEW!?!? We've gotten no where. They have soaked every dime they could put of us!

Directv is the only satellite/cable service provider we've had since we bought our house in 1991. We've had it for about 17 years. Was great in the beginning, however they've increased our bill every month over the years. Several time I've spoken to them about the unjust increase. They decrease it for 5-6 months, then it goes up again tremendously. We shouldn't be paying $260/month bec I've deleted channels to decrease our cost. Years ago I signed up for paperless billing, I've reminded them several times, and to this day I NEVER get monthly billing emails. I desperately need better satellite/cable AND even internet (bec it's yet same situation with Verizon!) providers! ‍

Worst service ever

Signed up a year ago, and they promised my bill would not go up. A year to the date my bill went from $150 a month to $246, called them and the best rate I could get was $195 a month. Tried canceling my service, which was $240 early termination fee (cheaper than my monthly bill) and now they don't pro-rate termination date so my get out of contract fee will be $286. $#*! service and worse customer care. BEWARE! Went back to dish for exact service for $110 month

Today, 12/3/2021, my Roku got an update of the DirectTV app. Looks OK but quickly found their Software Designers, Programmers and QA is so bad that the Guide does not roll over anymore. Sorted Alphabetically and at the A's and need to get to the Z's, don't go up like you used to. It stops at the "Top", like there should or ever was a "Top". Now, you will need to scroll very slowly through 100 channels to get to the bottom. Ridiculous. Please put this moronic company out of our misery.

Received email from Direct TV saying 4 channels were going away and I would need to opt in to keep. I tried the link and dealt with 3 different chat customer service and one Supervisor (2 1/2 hours) to find out the link that would allow to opt in does not work. They could not handle the opt into the channels manually and I would need to try again in a few days. AT& T's / Direct TV continue to reflect their lack of concern for their customers while over charging for their phone and TV services.

Horrible playback

Most of what you record is hard to playback with blank screen and slow response. You can't see what you are fast forwarding, just a 15 sec or faster jump to further into the show

DIRECTV if you ever read these understand this your customers that have left you we so disgruntled because of the customer service that we have to go through that's outsourced they cannot speak English properly they do not listen to our concerns and nothing is ever done I had service for over two years when I canceled I was still charge for over a year the customer service rep that I spoke with said I had to pay over $500 and I hadn't lived or used your service in the area that I had moved from it is a shame that you cannot hire people in the United States to work with your customers that are based in the United States what a shame as far as I am concerned you can close up your business because you are absolutely The worst cable company that I've ever had to deal with shame on you shame on you Company shame on the executives that sit up on the board and laugh as they draw in their million dollar paychecks you forget about the little people

A dissatisfied customer

Directv, is full of it,, they I order NBA, AND NFL channels, when I don't even watch football nor basketball. They say someone in your house did there is noone in my house but me. Then the channels that NFL is on is not on my TV. When you go to those channels it only says direct tv. They going to tell me we took off the NBA ticket but you have pay half on the NFL. Yall think I'm a fool to pay for something I didn't order and it's not on my TV. They can have their boxes and all never again. I am very dissatisfied. I was a loyal customer for years. The lady I talked to in billing told me it was a mistake on their behalf, and they I'm going to pay for their mistake, not my money.
