Their service is trash. They're not an unlocking service. They're a 'check for lock' service. Basically, they can't unlock a carrier. They take your sim and see if your phone is eligible for unlock. If it is, they request it from your carrier. That's it. If carrier says no, they tell you it is hard locked. Complete garbage. They ask for a hard inquiry fee, which they take your IMEI and run a check to see who the carrier is. Just google search it and there are some websites that will tell you. Then just call the phone carrier. That's what these guys do. When its hard locked and carrier says no to the unlock, they give you back a "credit" but they offer no value and the know that. STAY AWA!

I first used Direct Unlocks for my brothers Huawei, but it couldn't be unlocked for some reason so I was given a credit note. I did send an email asking for a refund, as I thought I'd never use this service again, I had no reply and thought It was a scam. But a Few months later my bro had got a new iPhone and I was able to use the credit note, I thought the phone was locked to o2 but it wasn't so they changed it free of charge as it had already started to process of unlocking. Estimated time was 19hrs, I don't know exactly how long it took but it was roughly that. The iPhone is now unlocked and works with any sim. Thanks

My experience was iffy at first. I seen a couple of reviews that said they were a scam but after some time and a little extra money to get the problem I had resolved, everything eventually worked. Did take week longer than I expected so I almost gave up but man I'm glad I didn't. Sometimes you have to have patience I see. I really appreciate the hard work they took and the communication.

Needed the phone unlocked as I was changing carriers to save some money. On line, I saw the reviews and decided Direct Unlocks was who I would contact. From there it was smooth sailing. I saw one review from some guy saying it was a scam. That individual wrote the only bad review that I saw so his credit card was probably declined for payment and he felt he had to be critical of someone.

Dont use this wed site they will scam you. After you do the $28.00 payment your phone will not be unlocked till you pay $50.00 extra. Go to your carrier you will unlocked for free. Karma will get those scammers

Pay the money. They unlock the device. May take a little longer than u want, but it happens.

They were not able to get my phone unlocked! I ended up having to purchase another phone that was unlocked.

I was unable to determine the price until I had already spent $78. Then it was another $160 I thought it was going to be $30.
After many hours a day for a week working with a programmer in India It still is not unlocked.
I've asked for a refund 3 times and get no real response. There is no "contact" information on the web page.

After initial payment for 28.99 I received an email that said halfway there.just 50.00 more for unlock.Thought I was getting scammed so I wrote them an email back and I was informed that had I read the small print I would known about the additional charges.When I did I realized it was my fault for not reading through whole paragraph. I sent in the 50.00 I was told 4-5 days.26 hours later I received my unlock code and had immediate service. I am a very satisfied customer and will recommend Directunlock to all my friends.

Your site advertise instant unlock, all 3 of my phones took more than 2 days, unacceptable, and every single one of them is a flag ship phone, and yet it ends up as a credit note?

My credit note isn't showing nor your site will take my email used several times.
