Phone was unlocked in 3 days. I jumped in and paid my £19.99 thinking this was a final payment until I got the email saying it could be another £50 as the first payment is only a pre order deposit. So as well as the obvious extra cost they cleverly hide from you initially even after you pay that (for me i paid £50) they do not unlock your phone. I placed the order in november and i was about to go and work in another country. They said it would be done in 24-72 hours (which is why i decided the money was worth it rather than paying £10 to EE and calling them up for ages). It has now been 3 weeks of me emailing them and them eventually getting back to be to say there is a delay. Now they have emailed to say their code supplier is closed until january. I am now having to spend lots of money buying a new phone as i need one for my job.
