Dillard's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, particularly regarding perceived discrimination and unprofessional service at certain locations. Many customers report negative experiences with returns and exchanges, highlighting a lack of compassion and flexibility from staff. While some employees receive praise for their helpfulness, these positive encounters are overshadowed by frequent complaints about poor customer service, long wait times, and inadequate support for online orders. Overall, the feedback suggests a pressing need for improved training and policy reevaluation to enhance customer interactions and foster a more inclusive shopping environment.

They refuse to give me my money back to my credit card instead they keep trying to push me to accept a refund by a gift card. They got my money. I didn't pay by gift card why should I get a "refund" by gift card?
Awful shady business. Never buy from them once they get your money they keep it no matter what.
They sent me the wrong stuff and I had to pay $147 for a bunch of junk. Is this a joke?
Now I understand why they are going out of business shady shady
Really great shot with a bunch of stuff to choos from. I used it a lot of times to pick up stuff for myself and a gifts for my fam.
It's a old store that's still in business. And that speaks alot to the people and internet. That they are here to stay.
Don't shop at dillards, they lay off their hard working employees just before Christmas just so they can hire part time help them lay them off after Christmas. They suck and I will NOT shop there.
I spent 1100 on a vintage handbag and within an hour noticed it didn't zip well, they flat refuse to back their products once they have your money. Nordstrom and a ton of sellers on eBay guarantee them, truly they are not great quality for the money and you can get better service anywhere. Dillard's has really awful customer service in comparison to Nordstrom, Neiman or even eBay.
Trying to complete a set of china as a gift, I ordered some pieces online. No original boxes (unlike EVERY other piece I've purchased from this manufacture elsewhere). All just piled loosely with paper in a single big Dillard's box. The pieces were dirty, one showed dark scuffs on the bottom where it had clearly been displayed, and the lidded item had patches of sticky adhesive where the lid had been taped down at some point. No tape to be seen, though, as the lid was just moving about on its own. All the reasons I didn't risk buying on ebay.
If I could give them a 0 rating I would. Terrible customer service. Wouldn't recommend anyone to shop there. Ordered a pair of Ugg slippers, they shipped the wrong color but the correct order was listed on the receipt it was shipped with. I called customer service and let them know they claimed they would do a rush shipping on the item I ordered. I was going to keep the first pair sent and just pay for the original one once sent because I needed the slippers for a special event and didn't have time to wait for the original order to be sent. The quality of the product was HORRIBLE. The uggs were hard and stiff like it was just cardboard inside of the slipper. The glue could be seen around the soles of the bottom and all around and in the fur. I was told by customer service the original item would be shipped by Tuesday. Here it is Friday I call to inquire about my delivery they tell me that they canceled because they didn't have the item in stock in any store or warehouse. They should've informed me about this a week prior before telling me they located the item and would ship it via priority mail. I needed this item for a special event which was ruined by this horrible company. I'm also convinced they sell defective items shipped from other stores that can't sell them. The quality of the products and their customer service and willingness to help their customers is unacceptable and they should be shutdown.
I think the problem is more with Dillards than the manufacturer. Via Spiga shoes I ordered online were listed as leather uppers, they are anything but, the smell of rubber is overwhelming and nothing on the box or shoes indicates leather. I unfortunately purchased them on clearance and they were not returnable. When I complained to customer services they agreed to have them returned so that some non-specialist in the warehouse could determine that they were leather or not, if that person determined in their sole discretion the shoe was leather they would be returned to me again. I only purchase leather shoes, so I know what I am seeing and touching. Why on earth does it make sense for them to pay shpping 3 times rather than just double check with their supplier. I just don't have the time to go to the post office, THAT'S WHY I ORDER ONLINE DUH! So I am now stuck with something other than what I thought I ordered.
Dillards customer service sucks!
I went to Dillard's to shop for gifts for Mother's Day only to find some very unhappy sales clerks. I felt so strongly that there is a real problem with the way these employees are treated. I will never shop there again. I have notice this before but this time it was way too bad.
A few years ago my husband needed a couple of suits for his new job. We decided to try Dillard's, we went straight to the men's department and proceeded to check out the suits. My husband tried a couple of jackets to get the feel of them but thought it would be best to try the full suit on.
We needed help, so I went and found an associate and asked them for help, they said they would be right over. Well 20 mins past and he didn't come over to where we were standing. So I went to look for him and he was helping another couple.
He motioned he'd be right there, again we waited so I once again went to find him or someone else. He was talking to another associate. He looked up and carried on his conversation. So my husband and I left very angry and very dissatisfied.
Today, we decided to give Dillard's another chance, we went in to the suit department as we were looking for a suit, shoes and shirt for our daughter's wedding next month.
We looked for someone to assist us but he was busy with someone else, only this time he said he would be right with us.
So we waited close by this time, surely we wouldn't have the same experience as the last time. The next thing we saw he was dealing with another customer who had just walked up to the counter, so being rather patient people we decided to check out some suits for ourselves as we waited for him.
So as my husband is trying on jacket after jacket, I noticed a young man standing by the counter all alone no one near him he want busy with a sale he was just stood there.
He looked over watching me and my husband as if we were going to take something, he never came over to offer us help and the other associate was now dealing with yet another customer who had just walked in to the area. That's it we are done with Dillard's, you have disappointed us for the last time.
On the other hand we went to Macy's and were treated very well and unfortunately my husband didn't get his suit but he did get a very nice experience and a shirt.
Maybe Dillard's needs to do a bit of mystery shopping in your own store. Especially the one in Newport news VA.
Dilliards customer service and unwillingness to help customers with valid returns is appalling. I would recommend never buying anything from Dillards that has a 1% chance to need to be returned. Their employees are trained to blame their computer for their inability to help reasonable requests. I do not recall any other retail stores that are this archaic and greedy in their methodology. Shop elsewhere!
Ordered a cosmetic product that was supposed to come with a "gift with purchase." A few hours later I receive an email saying the gift is no longer available.
So I tried to cancel the order and was told it was too late and I would have to return it. What a hassle! Will not shop at Dillard's again!
Be careful if ordering online with Paypal. If you have to return the article, they do not issue a refund. They send you a gift card that can only be used at their store.
Harika bir site tavsiye ediyorum zamaninda gelen ürunler ve kaliteli onu zaman bu siteyi kullaniyorum...
Tried to charge using Dilliards card which did not work in order to get the sale price. Card would not work... did not get sale price. Called management and they blamed the bank
Very good shopping site. I like sitejabeer, and buy everything from sitejabeer.
Good product quality, fast delivery.
All product value of price range.
Excellent!
Sales clerk insisted on measuring me and helping me fit bras. She acted like she knew everything when in fact she did not know the first thing about fitting or sales. She measured me completely wrong and tried to push a bras size that was way off for me. In spite of the fact that I told her the size she gave me was too small, she insisted that she was right and kept pushing the wrong size and styles that I was not interested in. I purchased two bras, but I do not feel comfortable with them and will be returning both. I will never shop in that department or store again.
I Returned a shirt I had bought earlier this year which was a slim and was not my size.
I was helped and directed by two great Dillard employees. Whose names are as follows:
Mrs Marisol who I believe is Manager of the Jewellery department. And Mr Arcuie who was the sales person in the Men's department. I will always be a Dillard's customer. THANKS. Joe Watterson
Answer: I don't know about their in-store customer service, but the phone representative I talked to was snippy. As far as their return policy, for online purchases, just be sure not to use PayPal because they won't refund it and don't tell you that when you order. You have to find out the hard way, when you get a "gift card" in the mail.
Answer: There may be a few negative complaints but Dillard's is actually one of the highest rated retailers on this entire site! It pretty much has one of the best overall scores. And that's saying a lot for any retailer these days. I was surprised myself. If you've had issues, try to take a multi-pronged approach such as myself, calling, emailing, live chat (if they have it) - until you get a resolution. Also, try to find a feedback section and state your case there as well. Good Luck.
Answer: Nope -Dillards has a horrible return policy and are very rude if you go in person
