I had a parcel shipped through DHL. I was sent an invoice to pay of 42,500tsh which I sent, on the day it was meant to be delivered the DHL agent told me he made a mistake with the invoice it was wrong I should send an additional 222,748tsh meanwhile the value of my products is 146 usd which is 338,574tsh I knew this wasn't right so I asked the agent to give me a refund of the first amount so I could clear the goods myself he refused and said I should first pay 100,000tsh to DHL to get my documents to clear my goods myself and write a letter before I can receive my refund. Till now my goods are stuck because of the mistakes from DHL. I do not recommend DHL to anyone use literally any other courier service.
DHL has retained against my will, my track number *******412.
This retention has caused economical damages to me, since failed real estate business at St. Augustine.
I needed a $200 package I ordered asap. It's been showing that it's been in my city, Denver, since the 7th. It's gone in and out of the Denver sorting facility three times now. It's the 9th and shows it's still in the sorting facility for the 3rd time and it's 2 days late now. When I tried to contact DHL about this, all I got was, "is it 10 days or more late? Well then we can't help you."
Talk about a company that doesn't give two s$%#*. I will never use them again. I run a business that constantly sends packages too.
This is my 3rd day waiting and third attempted delivery. 2nd time driver didn't even bother to deliver. Now 3rd time he attempts at the wrong county miles away. There is no access point in all of Brooklyn he can drop off. I am enraged at this point. There is no excuse for these levels of sheer incompetence. This company should just save thousands of customers further grief and pull out of USA. Those morons overseas save a penny but lose a dollar when their stooge dropout workforce of the lowest societal denominator driver clocks in.
I lost my money and package, after 2 months they"d never called me, just one day said your package is abandoned in another state, i showed them all the lies they told me but still they never my package and money back,
I wrote a negative review of DHL some months ago and was told it had been read by 11,891 viewers.
I hope those same viewers will read this comparatively positive review of DHL.
DHL is no different than USPS, FedEx, UPS, eBay or Pitney Bowes in not providing accurate or detailed information on their shipments and on occasion providing blatantly false information. 80% of most Customer Service Reps are dismissive and/or rude. I applaud the 10-20% of them who sincerely do wish to help, but are restrained by institutional policy to make complainants go away by not even providing their own employees with access to the information that they may need. Added to that is the problem with AI robots and scripted technologies attempting to answer your enquiries. Those "AI"s often amount to "Arrogant Ignorance." Shippers do not want to provide any information on shipping problems since that might negatively impact their business. Consequently they regard it as "proprietary information." After several FOIA requests to the USPS they would not provide statistics on the actual help they gave on average to searches, shipment transit times, sorting equipment damage, damaged and/or lost items. Recently Ebay would not provide information on why a shipment to Spain was returned by Spanish Customs even though Ebay has access to DHL and Pitney Bowes who prepared the documentation. Do they wish to correct the root causes of shipping problems? Or do they wish to simply ignore them? Here is the illegible documentation I received so far...
My advice is to do your own research on the shipment you question. Contact all the shippers who handled your item. Keep records of all your calls and investigations and provide the shippers with all that information. Escalate, escalate, escalate. Ask for complaint and ticket numbers. Ask the names of the people you speak to and where they are located (what country)? Keep a record of all of this.
Confirm for yourselves whether my experiences match yours.

Unfortunately I have had packages delivered from DHL twice! Both times the delivery drivers have lied and said no one was home at the time of delivery I have been tracking the package all day and sitting all day I can literally see when someone is approaching my door these drivers are just lazy! I called customer service and all you get is attitudes I'm sick of it I will not use this service ever again!
I will never buy anything if the vendor using DHL to ship my package. My package ship from Vietnam to USA and it get misplace at OHio warehouse since 3/9/21. I called to get an update they say they don't know where my package at neither can't locate my stuff and don't know when I will get my things. Customer service is HORRIBLE
Unbelievableā¦! But it took me 7 emails and 4 days to clear a DHL package from South Africa to US. DHL messed-up absolutely EVERYTHING: the recipient's name and address, the payor's identity, and required for this "service" a much higher fee than any competition. To top it all they also had the gall to ask for recipient's strictly personal data, info totally unnecessary in order to fulfill their forwarder duty. The interaction with DHL was a most frustrating and unnerving experience with an incompetent, slow German bureaucracy, expensive to boot! Even the one star rating is too high - they deserve a big zero! Do yourself a favour - STAY AWAY!
DHL told me that I could ship the contents of my package and when I shipped it and the package got to a DHL inspector the inspector rejected the package contents. Then DHL charges me to send it back to me. Total rip-off.
The transaction I had with DHL is fantastic. This company has a good logistic and supply chain management making it possible in meeting with every customer's demand on time.
It's twice now that DHL has charged an excessive rate for its shipping service, compared to Fedex and other companies. The first time, they charged me almost $400 more than Fedex.
And recently a factory mistakenly used my DHL account number without confirming whether or not I wanted to use DHL. So unwittingly I ended using DHL for a second time. This shipping ended costing over $110 more than what Fedex would have charged.
When I tried opening a DHL account with a third party shipper through a better DHL rate was possible, DHL declined to open my DHL account with the third party company in order to prevent me from transferring their overpriced invoice over to get a better rate.
Having more than one courrier account is permitted by other shipping companies, and transferring invoices between accounts is also permitted! Especially when I actually run different company entities, hence having more than one courrier account should be permitted! DHL is the only one that refuses this. Not surprisingly this is also the company that charges more for their shipping service than any other companies. Not to mention customer service is horrible, agents just sit on customer issues and don't follow up. No manager or supervisor ever try to resolve any complaints. Delivery also arrived late - among many other issues.
Absolute horror of a company. If you're looking to throw money into the garbage, experience late delivery and deal with complete lack of accountability, then go with DHL.

Driver lied and said they tried to deliver, was home the whole day and have a ring camera. I called the next morning to make a complaint and they said my package would be delivered today. Package was never delivered at the time frame they gave me. I called again the same day and they said a manager would call me. No manager called, six minutes before they close they text to say driver couldn't get in gate. I don't even live anywhere that has a gate. They won't allow me to pick up and they won't deliver my item. I'm highly frustrated and needed my item today
Worst shipping company. Complete incompetence. Professional time wasters. My package that I paid for door to door service has still not been delivered and it's over a week late. No delivery notice left at my address. A dozen phone calls made to dhl customer service and the issue has still not been resolved. Nothing but excuses and a total lack of any concern for the garbage service provided by any of the employees of this company. Save yourself the headaches and go with fedex. A police report has been filed for theft.
No one of around 15 parcels were delivered in time. I was actually surprised when dhlparcel.nl said that I am not at home while I didn't even exit my house! That's complete lie! The company is terribly unreliable and I would suggest to use any other possible delivery service instead of this damn!
Came at 7:43 pm awesome service, fast shipping it came on time and when calling dhl there was Amazing service.
I was to receive a package from JJsHouse. Everything looked on-track. I signed up for no signature delivery but asked for photo confirmation. Package was delivered and photo taken and sent to me saying it had been delivered. EXCEPT... it isn't my house! I immediately contacted DHL in order to try to track the delivery in a matter of minutes. They claim they delivered to my house. I explained I do not have the package and the confirmation photo is not my house. They take no responsibility and pass me back to the company I ordered the product from... who does not take responsibility since it was DHL error. Since filing the claim they have deleted all tracking and information on my package. DO NOT use DHL if you want you packages to arrive!
No communication and totally inept. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. I have been importing packages several times a week since 2016 using DHL, UPS and Fedex and DHL takes the cake as the most unresponsive and uncaring shipping company I've ever dealt with.
Here is my most recent experience... and I have had dozens like it. My package was stopped by customs and additional information was needed. How does Dhl handle this? They don't tell me for several days that the shipment is being held. At this point I want to tell you about a few of DHl's rules that many don't know. After 4 days of a shipment being held in customs, Dhl will charge you $30 per day. If you're unable to get your package cleared within a 10 day period, they will return your shipment to the sender, incurring yet more charges. So I'm already several days in before they even reach out to me.
They reach out to me by sending me a generic cut and paste email requesting information. I respond by sending all the requested info.,. And silence. I don't hear back from them. I go ahead and call dhl (on hold for an hour) and am given a representative to communicate via email with. They send me the same generic email requesting information. I provide the info for the second time... more silence. I get no responses from the rep. I email her several times over a 2 day period... I need that shipment! No responses.
At this point were about 5 days in. Presumably, I'm now being charged $30 per day. I have done far above and beyond trying to provide information and get my shipment but no one seems to care.
So I email the original rep that I had spoken with before and cc the rep that he had assigned me and ask them why I haven't received any responses back and if there is any additional information they need... and I wait. No response. One day later I receive an email from yet another rep. It's obvious yet again that this is a generic cut and paste email... anyone want to guess what the email is requesting? Yep... the same information about my shipment that I have already provided 3 times now.
Obviously, one might deduce that perhaps there is a particular peace of specific info that they want, but because no one will actually communicate to me, I have absolutely no idea what that info might be. I have answered all of their questions to the fullest.
Just so you know, I'm not importing anything questionable. Its just proximity cards used with security systems.
This situation is still on going at the time of my writing. I'm now close to the 10 day mark and I have yet to have any real communication with Dhl. Just generic cut and paste emails requesting the same information. I'm at a total loss. I have people waiting on this shipment and I can't gett one single person at Dhl that will take responsibility and help me get this fixed. I'm done with Dhl. I will work with their competitors.
WORST SERVICE EVER, ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Never use them for international shipping. I lost 200 euros and got nothing. First they said the package is overweight and returned it. The package did not leave their local package center but they charged 100 euros for it. I booked
Their service again and this time they returned it citing custom issue and charged 100 euros again. I was not notified or asked any questions, and when I contacted customer care they don't speak English. For international shipments, don't you think u should keep someone in customer care who speaks English? DHL has the worst service and customer care. NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE.
While DHL MAY have lower prices, you pay for it with the total absence of customer service. I recently had the misfortune of needing to speak with a human being to solve a problem. There was a mistake on some shipping paperwork that needed to be corrected before the parcel was collected the next day. Sure, just give them a call... so I did. I listened to a computer prompt me for the shipment number, then for the originating postcode... I entered the postcode 15 different times, but the computer didn't go any farther. Silence. There is no replacement for a human being and if DHL refuses to give us a way to speak to a human being, then they don't need my money and will never get it.
Answer: DHL always damaged my packages, I don't understand how they are still in business!
Answer: Difficult. Automated system. Rip off phone charges. Cost so far to track our parcel, possibly missing has been around £25 in phone charges. Still trying. They wont phone you back and yet it is their error.
Answer: Simply a NO useless unprofessional company skammers
