VERY, VERY POOR online customer support. They speak to you very rudely. No supervisor or manager is ever available. The Wild, Wild West Customer Service Rep's tat DepositPhotos.com have obviously taken over & are running the place! There is NO LEADERSHIP in place what so ever. I have tried to reach the CEO, Elena Flanagan-Eister numerous times. I do not think she actually exists & if she does she should be very ashamed of herself for ignoring all of these cries for help from customers? I honestly do think the photos are better than Getty, etc. However being cheated, scammed, screamed at by CSR's, etc. does not sit well with me.

ADDENDUM: After several emails, Depositphotos returned the credits. I still don't like the policy, but I have to be fair that they eventually responded.

Apparently purchased credits (NOT a time-based subscription, but a dollar amount in an account.) expire. They do not provide notice that expiration is coming up either on their site or by email or other such notification. They deplete your ac$#*! taking money in exchange for nothing. Their customer service is very poor. I use other such sites that do not employ such policiies.

They will charge you every month without any notice, I purchased a monthly subscription, but by default they set it up to automatically renew. They did NOT give me an opportunity to check a box for automatic renewal. Instead, by default, it automatically renews, even though I subscribe to a MONTH service. They could clearly see that I was NOT using their service after the 1st month, but still continued to charge my credit card 4 Times, after I noticed that They refused to credit my card, and only offered to give me credits to use with them. They told me that I could NOT talk with their financial department via the phone, only by email. The customer service agent said that she would contact their financial department and call me back. It is a misleading practice that lacks safeguards for the consumer, and with little to no recourse. STAY AWAY

Buy cheap Pay twice - Depositphotos is a SCAM
I purchased a ONE-month subscription service from Depositohotos. There was no indication that this subscription would be renewed monthly, no email, no notification, nothing. When I saw that my credit card had been charged another $69.00 in April, I immediately contacted the company on their online customer chat and spoke with someone named "Sheena." She basically told me that I had bought a renewable subscription. Finally, she agreed to contact their Financial Department to see what they could do for me. She said that she would get back to me the following day. It is now May 2014, and I never heard from her. There may indeed be something in the very tiny fine print that says that the charge will be renewed monthly, but I have screenshots of the order form I filled out and the receipt I received from them, and nowhere is it mentioned that the charge will renew.

Depositphotos is so bad words fail me
If you buy cheap subscription you buy twice, please avoid them, they will charge you monthly and if you ask for help it takes days for them to answer a support ticket, they won't help you with live support or phone call they blocked me for no reason, after I filed a complaint with BBB they reactive my account but I will no longer use their service, Depositphotos is a 100% Pure Fraud - F#6k them Just look at the complaints on google or BBB. Sorry I would give no stars if possible. They even don't deserve 1 Star. Absolutely ridiculous, do not use this service avoid it.

Terrible customer service and a horrible experience to boot. I tried the company out and when I wanted to cancel my subscription. The subscription auto renewed a day early so I sent an email asking for them to cancel my subscription. After they sent me back bad directions on how to cancel it myself. I sent them another email asking them to just do it since it would take them 2 minutes compared to me trying to figure out the terrible directions they gave me in their last email. They responded with a screen shot of Pay Pal on how to do it myself instead of just canceling it. That screen shot turned out to be old and I had to send PayPal a request to cancel my subscription and look into this companies business practices. It's odd how some businesses will just take advantage of someone for a few bucks.
Avoid this company you'll be glad you did. Good Luck.

I received plenty of emails from depositphotos. The offers, discounts, free trials, etc. Their claims of cheapest price and even 20% discount with 2million happy customers made me believe I would received a great deal from depositphotos.
I didn't know that depositphotos will take my money and suspend my account without any reason. I reported this immediately but was treated rudely by their customer sales team and after complaint with Better Business Bureau and 30 emails between depositphotos and me and they refused to give me a full refund.
I hope Better Business Bureau will take action and I will receive a full refund.
I would strongly advise people against this company, rude people are at the other end of your emails.

Unbelievable and I now realise that I have fallen for the age old scam. So I have spent about £213.00 for a subscription which I only used for only one day and now I don't have access to my account and money.
Please don't use this one and be heartbroken as I was.

When I signed up for Depositphotos.com I was misled into believing I was signing up 1 month only. Instead I was being billed monthly.
When I signed up for Depositphotos.com I was led into believing I was signing up for 1 month only. Instead I was being billed every following month as a recurring payment without my explicit permission. It was very deceitful of Depositphotos.com to charge me monthly while I was not even using their service.
I had t ask a CSR how to stop the billing because there is no obvious way to do this on their website. This is purposely hidden deep in the site so as to make it very difficult to change the account status from being billed monthly to billed only once. They do this to take advantage of people like me.

I also had a bad experience with them.

I decided to give it a try and I subscribed to their free trial. When you register, they ask you for your credit card or paypal account.

But you have to be very careful because they MIGHT charge you the full monthly fee subscription (59.00$) even if you're still on your 6th day! And then, when you talk to their customer service they won't completely refund you!
You have to choose between 50% refund or convert the 59$ to credits...

I was really disappointed, It wasn't a free trail it was a trap.

Wow, wish I had done my homework first.

Signed up to DepositPhotos.com and had to open up a PayPal account as I did not have one previously. No big deal, I was just doing the trial for the week, right?

I downloaded two photos - really? Where the hell are they on my computer? Nowhere. I'm far from computer challenged and I looked up the image name and did a search on my entire computer. Nope. Nowhere.

Tried to download the same picture again. Nowhere on computer. What the hell?

Now I'm down to "two" credits. Grr.

Tried to do their online "chat". Nope, no one available.

Tried to call to see if someone could help me find the file and figure out the problem. Voice mail on 1st ring = no one available, leave a message. No thanks.

Sent an e-mail this morning after all this - still no response.

Y'all are right. This company sucks! I've spent two hours on this issue and I'm over it.

Do not give these people your financial info!
After I unsubscribed, they have pulled money from my PayPal account every month like clockwork. Paypal refunds my money but what a pain! I have complained every month to Deposit Photos and all they say is that PayPal is refunding my money.
Must I file for a refund every month! Make it stop!
Stay far far away from this shady operation.

Depositphotos, Inc. Turn into SCAM

I have been using depositphotos for purchasing graphics and images for years.
It is only when we start to request friends to join depositphotos new affiliate program, then we smell something is fishy!

We have signed up for a new affiliate program and got a verification email from Affiliate Manager Nadya. We invited friends it was all good.

(SCAM #1)

You can not withdraw your earning:
In the middle of several email exchange, when we requested how to convert credits to cash they started to say our business model is not acceptable. They blocked our account. We are like WTF? Which part of the terms that say inviting friends is not acceptable? http://depositphotos.com/terms-of-use.html

(SCAM #2)

They send you email and invite you to join affiliate program and they will verify everthing and you are good to go, and after you made some money they will block you without any reason.
After lots of phone call and emails you will receive this email from support.
Quote:
Your account has been detected as a participant of fraudulent activities. Unfortunately, we will now have to terminate our cooperation.

Note:
Now, they are holding over USD 300+ in our account which we have not withdraw a single cent from them before since sign up!

And finally, And honestly I don't understand why one user needs 3 accounts at
Depositphotos one for selling, one for buying and another one for the
Affiliate system or maybe I am wrong the contributors or buyers are
Not allowed to use the affiliate system.

(SCAM #3)

You guys should start using the new Depositphotos Affiliate. I bet you already received email from depositphotos about it and soon are going to have big problem when start to withdraw your fund or even given lot of excuses by them to make you unable to withdraw fund!

My advice is AVOID Depositphotos Affiliate at all cost!

On 1st April I've received an email with a 15% discount promo code" from depositphotos.com"

I have signed up and subscribed for 100 images per day which they charged me $560.15 using skrill payment method.
Invoice No. '- S-*******
Note: I have everything screenshots, invoice, payment info and all emails

After 3 days they blocked my account for no reason, without even sending me a notice or warning. I tried to contact them but no one answered my call I contact their live support, the only message I got from them was "Please, write to *******@depositphotos.com"

All emails and phone calls to seek an explanation have been ignored. And any attempt to highlight complaints on their Facebook page leads to an immediate ban.

Before filing a complaint against depositphotos, I tried to contact but unfortunately they ignored me and the only message I got form them was "Your account has been detected as a participant of fraudulent activities."
They refused provide me any explanation and refused to refund my money forcing me to contact BBB for help, and once I filed complaint they sent me a full refund. Thanks to BBB.org for helping me

They are conducting illegal "auto renewals." I am contacting Department of Justice and FTC about their deceptive practices. Most of their art is really old leftovers from Europe. When I chatted with their customer service rep they had the stock response ready so fast that this is clearly an issue they deal with all the time. They could fix it in 10 minutes but choose not to in order to get their dirty profits.

I purchased a one-month only subscription but they went ahead and charged me for a second month without any warning! I am in the middle of contacting my credit card company, Trading Standards, and the BBB. The site itself does not answer queries either by email or phone and so I expect I'll have a fight to get a refund of the $99 they stole from me, but I will certainly make as much fuss and noise as possible about it, including involving law enforcement. Do not waste your time with this site. There are other less scammy ones out there with the same pictures on sale.

THEY WILL ROB YOU
December 6, 2013

THEY WILL ROB YOU. Just like they did me.

I signed up for a "free trial" and realized shortly after that I didn't want their tacky photos, even if they were free of charge for 7 days. I emailed customer support (since there are no methods or instructions on their site on how to cancel when you paid with credit card) and they said they would cancel it for me. Lies. They didn't. I was charged for a full month's subscription for a website I didn't even use!

I contacted them again explaining my situation and they essentially said "Boo-boo, tough luck. Here's a link to our refund policy that proves why you're wrong."
Save yourself the trouble and keep away from these thieves.

Scam artists, they have an auto-renew on their subscription policy, there is no cancel button or method without calling them. Currently working on getting a refund.
