My friend buys photos and sell them for a higher price here. It's not the best business, but he got some money from this. I try to upload there some of my travel photos, but I still haven't any sales...
One of the largest photo stock. A good level of sales with a focus on new works. Some of the prices are too high, but it only depends on a seller.
I've sold some of my sister's photos here. It was my first experience of selling something =) Payment system is very easy, as for me.
Friendly useful interface. Support gladly answer to my questions. I recommend adding this service to the bookmarks.
Great resource with the huge variety of different pictures and vectors. Support immediately answer all my questions.
This is not the best website to get stock photos, and all of them are paid, but I need quality stock photos so I decided to try it. And I should say the photos are great.
This already occured twice to me. The first is I am sure I have already clicked the "auto-renewal" button to OFF. But they charge me again after the subscription ended.
They told me that in their policy they do not refund payments, so they opted me to hold the subscription and use it anytime. So I did.
This second time around. I WAS VERY SURE that i turned OFF AGAIN that "auto-renewal" checkbox. But to my surprise as the subscription ended today. They charged me again for the renewal.
I have talked with the support again and the same script was pasted on the chatbox. But i was angry and they decided to charge back the payment.
I am now waiting for the revert of my payment, and I will file a legal dispute if they do not return the money.
I just registered on this site because I really wanna selling my photos. I can only say they have an excellent technical support. I get respond quickly when online. But I didn't manage to break into the category of photos suppliers =(
DepositPhotos is great for beginners. One of the most simple and clear photo stocks. It accepts almost everything. In addition, it has a very user-friendly interface: how to download, where to click... This is the first photo stock I started to work with.
The download is good but just beware of the automatic renewal of the subscription. They renew it automatically unless you go in and stop it. They charge your card on a monthly basis without permission.
They overcharge my card on two separate occasions. I tried to get the customer service on the phone and they basically told me "it isn't their problem."
Beware of this company, and stay away.
The photos I downloaded were great. However, I had some issues with the videos I downloaded.
So I asked customer service and they said it would take 24 hours to resolve. They came back with a very weak solution and again said another 24 hours.
I consider myself an incredibly patient and level headed person... but...
As I waited, I noticed a second charge on my card. It auto renewed. This feature was not clear and obvious when I signed up.
So I called and asked politely for a refund. The lady over the phone barely spoke English and said it was against their policy... so she couldn't refund me.
After arguing back and forth, I finally had to raise my voice and get assertive, which I hate to do to another human being, however... in this case... I literally had no choice.
The fact is, I would easily purchase more videos and photos if my issues were resolved... but...
Instead, I got the exact opposite. Horrible customer service from a company that only wants to keep charging my card instead of help a customer out.
What happened to providing great products and helping your customers?
In short, I rate this company a total scam with BS policies geared towards charging your credit card on auto renewal as much as possible.
It's disgusting how the customer service team treats you.
I reported the charges to my CC company and changed my account number because I do NOT feel safe leaving my CC with this kind of business.
I was about to sign up for the site to buy stock photos. I only needed one photo and the only offer I received was I would need to buy a pack of 5 at $39.00 or $7:80 each. I have a VA in Philipines he could buy them 1 each at $5.00.
I checked the pack pricing for the following
Quanitity United States Philipines
25 images $159.00 $69.00 230% Difference
Some of their pricing is similar but UNITED STATES is Discouraged from buying packages buy the pricing and led to the auto renewal.
I just found it too shady.
On valentines day I received a 20% promotional subscription discount email from Depositphotos, I frequently purchase images from a number of sites including Deposit Photos so I decided to take advantage of this special offer. I was given two options to purchase and receive my discount one was to click on the link provided and enter a promo code and the other was to click on a large green "20% discount icon" which they claim will automatically apply my discount, I clicked the green icon and was taken to where I can choose my subscription and off to the shopping cart. I already had an account so it took me two minutes to purchase. After I pressed pay it occurred to me that the amount I paid did not add up to the 20% discount or even come close so I immediately contacted customer service and they advised me that there was nothing they could do for me because I agreed to the payment amount, I advised them that I had trusted them that when I pressed the 20% discount icon I would receive the 20% discount so it did not occur to me to do the math, they claimed it was my fault for not verifying the amount before I agreed to pay. I insisted that I followed the instructions provided, I made the transaction five minutes ago and I did not start use of the service so why could they just make the correction for a frequent customer. The Customer Service agent advised that a Supervisor will contact me within 24 hours, 24 hours later no call so I called and spoke with another Agent, they pulled up my file and gave me the same response, when I asked if I can speak to a Supervisor he refused advising that this was final.
I believe Deposit Photo entices people to purchase with the hope they won't do the math, this is their loss as at the end of the month I will take my business elsewhere.
When you buy a monthly pack, you automatically are given auto renew of the pack. Apparently Depositphoto's inform you of this but I didn't see it. When checking my account I never came across the auto-renew button: it's actually very well hidden inside of the account. So I didn't cancel the auto renew and money was taken from my credit card the month after. I called them and explained this to them but they didn't refund me, whereas usually you are granted some days "cool off" period anyway. STAY AWAY!
To begin, I have NEVER heard of this "company", nor have I EVER done business with them either.
This morning my bank called me to tell me that DepositPhotos attempted to steal almost $600 from my bank account. Not only are these idiots scammers and have poor practices with billing, they are now phishing accounts and stealing card numbers, too. Too bad they made an attempt on the wrong guy this morning.
Don't even make a free account with this website. They make it extremely difficult to even delete that.
Good images and price but they are thieves with anuto renewal of subscriptions and then offering no refund. When you go to cancel they make you go through 4 pages before they accept.

I have had a running subscription with DepositPhotos for several months now. About two months ago, I noticed that they had charged me about a day earlier than they were supposed to. This month, when I went to download a picture, it said that my subscription was up and that I needed to purchase another - so I did. Two days later, they charged for me another (second) subscription automatically.
What? How could I be prompted to buy another subscription, and then have my "first" subscription renewed automatically? That makes no sense. Yes, I know they renew automatically, which I am normally fine with. However, what I do NOT like is being charged twice and then when I go to Customer Service to dispute it and that I would like for one of those charges to be refunded, to be given the run around.
I was told two different stories by two different customer service people. It was only when I outright said I would be contacting my bank to have them initiate a chargeback, that they took any kind of initiative in making this right.
I do not like being played for a fool and then having a hard sales pitch thrown at me ("You've been with us for so long, it seems like it would just be best that you have two subscriptions" - yes, I was told this when I asked for a refund). I am going to begin looking for another stock photo source immediately. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable.
Answer: I chose them because other websites are too expensive for the amount you get. This is not an issue if this is being done in a commercial setting as cost is part of doing business. I on the other hand am a digital artist who creates non commercially and do not profit off my creations. I create for the sake of creating. I am able to get 30 downloads for $30 a month which for my purposes is perfect. For someone that just wants to create art non commercially then depositphotos offers the best value.
