Recently just bought 3 items from 3 different sellers. Went to log on a few days later and depop claims I went against their guidelines. Makes absolutely no sense to me. No explanation to what I did to violate their terms. I just want the items I purchased. After receiving this useless email, I could care less about having an account anymore.
I run a depop shop always been good but it's a hobby not a business - I now get emails saying I haven't logged on for 20 days and they will close the shop down - sad they

I enjoy Depop as it easy to sell on and usually great. The only issue I have is their support, it's absolutely insane that such a large company handling peoples money does not have a direct phone line. I had an issue of missing payments and contacted Depop who said to email them but also you can message them on twitter, I did both of these things. On twitter they just responded and said to email them… I received an automated response that did not answer anything and I've been waiting for a real person for three days now. Previously I had an issue where I didn't recognize a charge on my bank account. They assured me they would never charge my bank account directly and told me to ask PayPal. PayPal said it clearly is a charge from depop as it only says DEPOP. When I asked them again to explain what the charge is they just stopped responding. Once things get difficult and they actually have to use their brains for a problem they go silent. Absolutely ridiculous, why am I giving them 10% of each of my sales if they can't even help. I'll never get the $11 from the missing sale because I can't prove that I refunded the buyer because they can't tell me where the money went.
Purchased a dress from *******@ccrauh and she told me she would only be able to ship on Jan 15th so I emailed her on the night of the 15th to ask if she had a chance to ship the dress or when to expect shipment. I did not hear back from her for a few days so I got upset that it had been over five weeks total now and she has ALWAYS been difficult to reach even when her profile says ACTIVE TODAY. So she still hasn't shipped my item so I opened a dispute with PayPal which finally got her attention and she made so many excuses for it such as being busy with school. I was understanding at first until she couldn't find a printer to print the label then when she finally did and shipped the item it CAME BACK TO HER because the label expired! I was understanding again and asked when she could resend it. Again no information no updates no communication nothing! I was livid at this point so I escalated the dispute and she came FULL ON DISRESPECTING ME calling ME insane and impatient when she's the one who can't get her life together to ship one item? I am insane for waiting for five weeks believing her fraudulent lies. This woman is a psychotic bully and expects everyone to be understanding of her situation while she doesn't care about anyone else's. Depop avoided the situation about three times and when they finally looked into the messages they said there was nothing they could do. Depop let's scammers get away with bullying and fraudulent activity.
A buyer claimed item was not authentic. I sent two proofs of authenticity. They told me they hadn't received any and are threatening to charge my card in less than 48 hours. I WILL be contacting my bank and I WILL be getting my money back. I have NEVER written a bad review although DEPOP deserves this. Stick to Etsy or Ebay guys. DEPOP just takes money from you with extremely high charges and lack of customer service. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I have deleted my account and I encourage EVERYONE to stop selling on depop. THEY CANNOT GET AWAY WITH THIS.
I asked why the Purchases link is not available both on my lap top or on my Samsung Galaxy to which you asked me to trouble shoot? I told you that I just downloaded the latest version to my phone. Why is my laptop having the same problem as my Samsung Galaxy? Why does this simple function found on EVERY OTHER MARKETPLACE not found on yours?
Why are there multiple complaint links on google going back 6 - 12 months asking if any one else has experienced not being able to find the purchase button?
Why is it that your sellers feel free to cancel sales and buyers can't leave a negative review for that sort of unprofessional behavior? No courtesy message from the seller of any kind. No repercussions of any kind. So in a sense, your company enables bad business practices which will also be on my review of your company as a whole.
You know... when you do right by someone, chances are that person will tell a couple of friends about their positive experience. But when you treat customers the way I've been treated by that poor excuse for a seller, and your customer service team asking me to work for Jesus and resolve issues that have nothing to do with either my laptop or cell phone, but everything to do with your website, well that person will go out of their way to tell as many people to NEVER do business with your company and if by the off chance they did, they should cross their fingers and hope all goes well. Because if it doesn't. They are on their own.
Less isn't more when it comes to customer service. That's why you lost a customer today and why I will visit 10 sites including several links on youtube to let them know that help means nothing to your company. It means receiving a generic cut and paste email with instructions on how you can fix your own problem or how you can go F$#& yourself if you decide not to follow your time wasting steps.

Please never sell on this app. They took my money from my sales and never gave it to me. They say the bank account that I use daily isn't real. There's no help center available when you click the button. Then you are stuck only using the money only on depop, which seems like a scam to me. I've tried contacting them with absolutely no luck on resolving issues this issue. I've seen numerous people saying the same thing.
I bought a lot on Depop for years ( 5 years maybe longer) with no problems helping to make them what they are. Then Etsy bought them I believe. All of a sudden they wanted to "know it was me" and want a picture of my ID. I will not send a pic of my ID so I'm just no longer welcome. No one else I know on Depop has been asked to do the same. Such ungrateful people, but my money is being spent elsewhere now. Anyone reading this who sells on Depop just know that a great buyer is gone for no reason. You have lost a longtime buyer, likely more than just me but I can't be sure. I hope you all start selling on Instagram because I am buying there.
0 stars if I could. The Depop customer service is an absolute JOKE. Not only are they rude asf but its literally multiple staff answering/addressing your email not one! So disorganized! My account got banned due to a hashtagging issue which I deeply apologized and thought it was fine since so many other sellers do the same. The lady I first encountered Harley, was disgustingly rude and said I was a threat to the platform? Until I pointed out I had ongoing orders that I needed to fulfill they changed my account to a 3 SUSPENSION. I have also been having issues with the fee, why is there such a large fee taken?! Others selling platforms do not take as much as Depop. This situation has made it very hard for me to want to continue supporting Depop by selling and buying there what a shame.

Yeah it's great, there's hella thrifted clothes go buy however the creators of the $#*!ing app and the support team are absolute TRASH.
TWICE now I've purchased items and didn't receive them and Depop refused to help because it had been over 90 days. I buy a lot of stuff online and I'm not one of those people who tracks every second of the shipping, so I get that I need to be more careful. But if two items in my receipts still say "waiting to ship" wouldn't that be a shop issue and not with me?
Point is there is no customer support team. I would highly encourage everyone to stay off this app UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR MONEY STOLEN!
I even tried leaving feedback for the shop and THEY TOOK IT DOWN. Literally there's no justice in this at all for me, only for the shop, and now they've kept my money.
Honestly this is the worst customer service team I've ever experienced. They ate extremely unprofessional and biased. They delete listings for no reason and ignore you for the most part.
The sellers are a hit or miss, as with all humans and it has nothing to do with Depop as a company. As a company though, they lack integrity and moral. They never helped with disputes because they claimed "it is paypal's buyer protection that you must go after" and after i started selling a few items, they would take down listings for false reasons or no reasons at all. Even after fixing said listings to comply with the "rules that were broken", it was still taken down. They then banned my account because someone wanted to make an out of app payment and i refused. As a seller, depop takes a ridiculous cut ON TOP of paypal fees. This isn't a problem at all but it is when you take our hard earned money and then ban sellers for no reason. I am Boycotting depop.
I been selling on depop for years and I always had problems by them mistaking me and shutting my account off 3 TIMES! They don't give any warnings! They have bad customer service! They don't even have A number to call to complain! I had so many positive reviews, once again they closed my account because of a item they didn't agreed with which was brand new makeup! Now they won't give me my account back! So AVOID DEPOP THEY SO BAD WITH DEALING WITH COMPLAINTS AND SOLVING IT
My account got suspend again for the 2nd time, despite not having used the app in months. I don't use the app precisely because of the appalling treatment that sellers get. They said they'd get back to you to fix the problem within 48 hours. It has now been a week.
Hello as many of you guys know depop has a lot of cons within the app. I have sold on depop around a year, I so far have made 1,600 sales I built my credibility and what not but depop has tooken so much money I think they have been taking double the "fee" because I can sell something for 40 dollars and end up with 29? Also depop is dying and I'm afraid it's my only source of income their customer service is terrible they only side with the buyers I once shipped a girl a 50 dollar top they then said they "never" recived it even though it shows it was sent to San Francisco she made a huge scandal calling me a scammer like 80 people commented under my items "scammer" etc I sent the info to depop and PayPal they both sides with the buyer after that I got my account suspended 3 times for bfe even though hundreads of top sellers do so, if they don't like you they'll make sure to limit your exposure I got into 2 fights with these moderators who deleted my account for false pretenses they said they can't lift the ban until 10 days even after it was proven false, now my sales are $#*! I am thankful for depop since I made around 90k this year however they have horrible service..
The worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. They banned me by mistake and refused to fix it. When u email them they just copy and paste responses
The Depop team... unprofessional people suspended and later closed permanently my deppop *******@sarahsiah for having professional pictures on my shoes. They were constantly harassing me & my account that had 5 stars reviews 99.99 in my 500 plus sales.
People never complained or opened cases saying that my photos didn't match my merchandise. Brand new Footwear. Depop team made a hell in my life and made me depressed after closing my account when I made about 25k in sales in only few months in 2020.
If there's anyone out there that can help me It will be the best thing Depop team could do.
My account was doing amazing and it was beneficial for me, the depop team who gets paid from great accounts that make profits, sales and to the owner of depop.

UPDATE: This user changed their name *******@vhsbabydoll on Depop to avoid the bad reviews. Their reddit user is u/ultraviolxnce. DO NOT buy from them, they are a scammer that sells counterfeit items and will not refund the total amount of your order.
I bought an item *******@1990sDoll. I noticed that the item was counterfeit and quickly asked for a refund before she shipped it because I did not want junk. She had no idea what she was doing. She did not refund the total amount and when I pointed this out, she whined "I'm so broke at the moment I have around $15 to my name and I literally can't send anymore". Complete bs, I sent this scammer the money for the item so they should be able to refund the whole amount. I later found out this was a kid that was selling, who also whines on reddit. The partial refund she did send has still been pending for days. Depop has not been helpful about this situation either, and while they claimed to have messaged the seller, they refuse to issue me the total refund. Depop also needs to have an age limit on who sells. DO NOT BUY *******@1990SDOLL!

Stay Away From This app. The app is a big scam, I am positive they collect they money to themselves. You will never receive your money if you are a a real seller such as myself, the app will ask you to ship and update shipping details then you will recommend your money, BUT YOU WILL NEVER DO.
As for the "sellers" on the app most of them are SCAMMERS, you will never receive the item you purchased and if you reach to depop team, they will not do anything. IAM PRETTY SURE THAT THOSE SCAMMERS ARE PART OF DEPOP TEAM.
SO JUST STAY AWAY FROM THAT APP
Answer: Major scam. And not worth the fees they will charge you to sell. Rubbish and rude customer service, and the people buying off you will try to scam you by lieing to Depop and PayPal saying they never received the item. But when you track the tracking number they've signed for the item themselves!
Answer: An apparent availability of items that were not available elsewhere. Turns out that the reason that they were available is that they were fakes and frauds.
Answer: It might be a scam honestly, i would say open a dispute with them. Mercari is a lot better btw, way cheaper. Mercari also holds the money until your item is delivered and you inspect and review the item.
Answer: Right with you on this. Jerks banned my account and I've never had any bad reviews and nothing but positive sales but they will continue to allow scammers to steal your stuff and still haven't seen any of my payments from items I sold since they stopped my account. They said today I should get my money by 7/9/2023 it's 9/6/2023. So apparently they don't even know what month we are in right now. Idiots
