Purchased a helmet and had it shipped to the local shop. It arrived very quickly. It's a secure way to pick up your order.
Both 3/4 helmets (LS2-Verso and HJC-i31) I bought (and returned) were impossible to put on without removing my eyeglasses. Once on, eyeglasses were unable to be inserted. The HJC had an exceptionally short D-ring strap. Arthritic hands could not insert strap into rings. My old, 2002 HJC helmet had none of these problems. I tossed it because I thought it would not meet latest safety regs. I miss it.
All went smoothly. Was sized in the store, helmet was out of stock. Order taken care of in store and delivered shortly thereafter.

Ordered a replacement face shield for the HJC helmet I have currently at the Cycle Gear shop. Shipment time was about 6 days (there was a holiday involved). On receipt the face shield was/is the wrong one. In contact with the Cycle Gear representative, I could NOT just send the wrong one back and get the correct one sent. I had to take multiple photos and scan in the packing slip in order to get an exchange to prove that I had gotten the wrong thing. Not happy, and I still don't have the part I ordered.

I knew going in that the tires i wanted weren't in stock at my local Cycle Gear, (Metzeler triple 8's). What i didn't know was that they'd be sent, via ground, from Nevada to where i live on the east coast.
Good customer service they have whatever you need it have been s regular customer for years.
Ordering and delivery were very good but I ordered a black/orange helmet and received a gray/red helmet I thought about returning it but return expense falls on the purchaser even though it was their mistake

Went to the store, got the fitting done. Recommendations evaluated, store didn't carry the color. Rep ordered online for home delivery. IN 3 days arrived at door step.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
