Ordered the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR set for my '15 HD-883XL and wow! Switching from the stock cruiser tyres to the more aggressive Pirelli's had me timid at first, but they are confidence inspiring in turns and absolutely fly on the straight aways. Low noise on the highway and make my bike look that much better. Ordered to my local store and they changed the tyre in minutes and got me on my way.
Helmet was not in stock at the Winston store. Not a problem. They ordered it for me and had it shipped to my house. Warehouse indicated it was in stock but it didn't ship out for 6 days. Not sure why that took so many days. Tried the online customer service routine which was a robot. What a waste of my time with that. Tried calling customer service (before closing and was greeted by a we are closed message. You can do better than this. All in all not a bad experience but I do expect more from you in the future. The Winston Salem store reps are great! Thanks guys!
Was easy, they were very friendly and had my product waiting for me as i choose pick up at store option
Shopping was easy and shipping was fast. Unfortunately, these mesh riding pants were so short that it looked like I was wearing my wife's capris. I'll have to return them for a longer pair or a better fit. On the plus side, they were comfortable in 98 degree heat.
I was in need of a rear tire for an older Gold Wing. CycleGear was able to get me one at a reasonable and in a reasonable time.

My overall experience with Cycle Gear is a good one. But my local store here in Austin, TX almost lost my business because one the guys that works in the store told me that they didn't sale Sena products. I knew the guy was just being lazy so I went online. And from there everything pretty much went as planned. I bought the SRL 3, installed it and like it very much.
I'm new to biking so just building my inventory of gear and learning what I like. Cycle gear has consistently provided great staff to educate me and guide me to the right gear. Add in, a great price. The local store didn't have my desired color, so I ordered it online. It arrived super fast and fit the ticket!

We had been given the wrong levers for my son bike, I was worried since it had been a month since I had purchased it there would be an issue, but there wasn't. They ordered the new ones and we received the new ones quickly! Great experience!

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
