I'm a brand new rider and I've gone into my local Cycle Gear a few times in the past few weeks getting ready for my first bike. There wasn't a single time that I've gone in and had a bad experience. The closest thing to a bad experience was not having a certain product in stock or my size in stock. That was my only gripe, but with fairly quick delivery to the store I was able to try on the products and take them home. Every team member was helpful and very knowledgeable.
I purchased a Shoei helmet and Bell helmet, both not in the store. The Shoei shipped right away to my address, the Bell was shipped from a RI store to the AZ store. I picked it up. Both helmets were correct and exactly what I ordered. Thanks!
Friendly courteous service, checked the racks and shelves to see if one had been put in the wrong place ( sometimes us customers do that)! Then double checked to make sure he was ordering the right one
Ordered the tire online with the plan of taking my wheel and tire to the Modesto Cycle Gear location. They had my wheel and tire for 3 days. It was still not mounted when I picked it up. I went down the street to an independent motorcycle shop and he had me taken care of in an hour.
Always happy with cycle gear. Their customer service and efficiency is always incredible.
I think originally it was to arrive on Tues., then it got changed to Sat. And then it was delivered on Fri. I tried to buy the pair of mirrors through the store but they only had one in stock.: (
While the store didn't have the spark plugs I needed in stock they were very helpful in getting them ordered right to my front door, nice easy and painless.
The staff was extremely helpful assisting me with a helmet fitting. This is my first helmet, and I'll never shop else where
Ordered the product, hoping to get it sooner but it showed up after the time I needed it
Received the Bell Moto 9S Flex quick. Had a couple minor scratches on the top of helmet. Got a med. Size. Fits snug. Like the airflow it has. Has emergency pad pull-outs at the ear/rear jaw area. Comfortable while riding. I only have one thing that could be better. It is difficult to get my prescription glasses on due to where the two different pads meet around my ear. Arms to glasses want to follow the space between pads not go in behind ear. Tilt helmet up after on to get glasses on then pull it back down. Guess from the snug fit. You can hear real good in the helmet too. Little pricey. Good helmet
Customer service is extremely helpful.
I ordered a 3XL Scorpion EXO R1 Carbon. My head measures 24 3/8 inch which normally with Bell or Shoei is an XL. The Scorpion was more like a big Large at 3XL. My face was touching the front of the helmet and my cheeks were squeezed way too tight! They only offer 2 shell sizes so this should have made me pause but I tried it anyway. I found the helmet to look incredible but its a bit flexy... the shield is flexible too. Especially if you compare to a Shoei or LS2, Bell etc. I dont think I would want to crash in it... my opinion. Overall the helmet feels cheap... XMT is the same helmet... same manufacturer. I dont think its worth the money when compared to a LS2 Thunder. The Bell Race Star is a much nicer helmet too. Of course it cost more. If you take anything from this post. If you run big... XL look elsewhere. Look for helmets that have 3 or more shell sizes.
I saw the helmet on the CG website and brought a photo of it into the store. The sales associate ordered it and I payed. A few days later, it arrived and I tried it on. Perfect fit and I added a bluetooth set. What more can you ask for. The staff is always friendly!
I Consulted with the staff at my local cycle gear about a good boot choice for my Suzuki DR650.
After some research and a trip to the cycle gear website i had decided on a pair of Icon boots. I went down and ordered at the store.
Excellent service and excellent shipping time. Good price
Ordered revit jacket and gloves Wednesday evening w/ RPM membership/free 2 day shipping. Package was sent from Las Vegas to my door in Atlanta by 2pm Friday. Great service and speed w/ the RPM.
When I was going to order my tires, through the local store, I was told that they would arrive on separate days. Then I was told that they would arrive on the same day, so I proceeded to order them. When the order information came through, it showed that the back tire would be coming in days later. I called back, and I talked to Arvin. He got the order switched, so that it would come out of a closer warehouse, so it would get here sooner.
Very. Professional would go back again always got everything right very helpful
These Boots offer Great protection while riding. They are very Easy to walk in, and comfortable.
Works well. It's a bit finicky to install, so I'd recommend bringing this into a store to have them help install it. Just remember: you only get only real chance when installing a pinlock. After that, the seal will be ever so slightly imperfect. Make sure the visor is clean, because whatever is left in the visor with the pinlock is installed will stay in the seal.
As always, super fast delivery and great product. I'm an in-store shopper by nature but I was in no hurry and had my new tires in 3 days.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
