Shopping and ordering was good, item was as advertised, no issues there. The only issue I had was with the shipping company. As usual FedEx's delivery estimate was way off, item arrived three days after their delivery estimate.

I haven't ridden with the helmet yet, so can't comment about it, but happy that it came with a helmet bag AND a backpack, pin lock shield and a spare dark outer shield.

I needed an item for an upcoming moto trip but was going to be OOT when it would arrive at my house so I selected store delivery/pickup. Was able to pick it up on the way home from the airport. The Cyclegear sales associate got the item quickly and I was on my way. Very convenient.
I purchased tires on line for my Tiger 900 and had them shipped to my Cycle Gear here in Reno. After waiting and not hearing anything from them I decided to stop by - sure enough they had been received 3-4 days earllier. It would have been nice to get an email or a call letting me know they had arrived.
Only wish you could change tires at your locations without having to bring them in off the bike! Not everhyone has the tools and the ability to remove them from the bike. You would sell more tires and generate additional revenue if your did!
Needed new boots. Tried on many from stock, none quite right. Salesman suggested ordering pair not in stock. Accepted offer, paid and less than a week later boots arrived at my house (50 miles away from store). Fit perfect. Fully satisfied... with service and courtesy and everything.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
