Special tool arrived promptly at local store and they called me on my cellular telephone.
It was a gift for my husband and he surely love it! He love the material and its inserts. He hasn't use it yet. But the fact that it can be use all weather makes him excited to use it! Delivery was on time too!
The four weekend creations that occupied floor space on Saturday were "about as much use as an one legged man in an arse kicking contest"! Checked my email for tracking my order and it said my order had arrive Friday noon. Gave them the part number which they couldn't find on the computer, gave them the order number which they couldn't find either but they sure knew how to use their cell phones. Told them what the item was and requested they look out back, 15 minutes later, no luck. Showed them a screen shot of the arrival confirmation of said part delivered to post box at 12:08 the Friday day before. "Oh I forgot about the post box" said the idiot in charge. She turned to her two newbe numb-nuts that I assume she was trying to train and said "this'll be fun, I'll show you where the post box is"! Finally after another 10 minutes they returned with the part. NOT BLOODY HAPPY!
I did some window shopping online and found the Helmet I wanted. I went to the local CycleGear store and placed my order with the friendly staff. I had it delivered to the store, and I received it in a few days when promised. The staff made sure the helmet fit properly before I left. I will definitely be shopping here again.

Ms Jessica is an excellent salesperson. She was Knowledgeable and very adept at finding info to do comparisons on the helmets. When I had to return my first, she facilitated the return and helped me select a second helmet. She was patient and very pleasant to work with.
Overall I was disappointed with my cycle gear experience and unsure if I will order again or look for a different retailer for future purchases. I did think you had a good selection of brands and stocked most of the color and sizes for the popular items. You also had some European brands which was good to see. I was surprised at the lack of a free customer reward/rebate system - I shop with Rocky Mountain ATV and love their cash back program on most all products and the service is top notch. You do have the rider preferred program and I would have maybe purchased the program but the brands I wanted to purchase did not look to be included? Why?
My main issues:
#1 Website said you had coats when the order was placed but the next day got an email saying you had no stock. I would expect the web site to be somewhat accurate on inventory levels and was surprised to find that it was not. The biggest issue here was you wasted my time - had I known you had no stock I would have purchased elsewhere. Now, the coats and my sizes are out of stock everywhere. You did send a gift card so thank-you.
#2 The shoe shoes on the order had not been shipped. I had to take time out of my work day to call cycle-gear and remind them to fill my order that I had placed and paid for a week ago - crazy. It was great to finally get the shoes and not an email from cycle-gear explaining that the shoe was no longer in stock because the order had not been filled when it was placed last week when you had inventory. I buy many items online every week and can honestly never remember having to remind a retailer to fill my order. If I had not called - would I have ever gotten my shoes? Your order infrastructure systems have major issues and I would benchmark people who do it well and invest some capital to fix it. You did do free 2 day shipping so thank-you for that.
I was at the store in Sandford Fl where I was about to buy a Shoei helmet, when I was about to pay, I was told that it couldn't be changed because of I was using a virtual card! According to the lady, it couldn't be done because of store policies! I didn't take at heart, but it was a waste of time, so I told the lady I would buy the helmet online! All good online and the order experience was good and all on time. That store needs to get with new technology.
I used the older model 8 times and the rubber cracked. I hope this one is better by a long shot or it's to a new brand next time.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
