It started out good. Ordered tires and they shipped and were delivered quickly. That was it for the good. Took the morning off from work and brought the wheels to Cycle gear. Employee said he would not mount the tires. Employee said management informed stores not to work on certain wheels. He could not show me the policy. When I called before I went there he sounded like he didn't want to do it. He complained he was the only one who did it and he wasn't paid more for it.
Would highly recommend this company for all your motorcycle needs.
I needed new tires for my VFR and I'm the type of guy that goes overboard researching everything, including prices. I settled on a set of Metzler Roadtec 1 and CG had the best prices I could find, even beating that big online store that starts with an A. Some of their other tires could be found cheaper online but if you factor in the lower price of mounting and balance when you buy from them it usually works out in your favor. I was a little hesitant having them mount after hearing some horror stories but my experience was great. I dropped the wheels off and picked them up the next day with no issue and they feel great in the bike.
It was easy to find new gloves. Was able to filter what I was looking for. New gloves that will keep my hands warm and protected.
It always feels nice to go to Cycle Gear and find a new jacket or helmet you like. It is always good to wait for their sales events to get discounts. I wish they had more on sale events for pricey products. (jackets, helmets, accessories)
Bought product based on delivery date. Don't meet the delivery date. Package received late, missing all sorts of washers. Contacted customer support. They said I would have to file a claim because of your very poor packaging. Or I could buy another item and have the shipping expedited, and hope that the claim would refund my money. If it didn't I would be paying for the item 2 times. Overall a very negative experience. Very unfortunate.
Friendly greetings through the front door. The employees are accommodating when picking the right helmet. It was also nice to have a woman at the store to help with women shoppers (riders). On that note, it would be nice to see more women's street clothing selections at the Pacheco, CA store.
There was an error when I filled out the order and was corrected immediately with no charge.
Ordered in store, and received in a couple days. The staff are all riders, and really care about your experience. A+++

They treat me like family when I come into the store. It is a warm and friendly atmosphere from the staff and I like that.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
