I had a helmet shipped to the Lynwood store, and when I went to pick it up, they happily installed my visor and pinlock that I had gotten elsewhere (because CG was out at the time), and also installed my new Cardo system at the same time.
I have bought tires and other things from Cycle Gear for years but never lived close to a store. When buying tires I call ahead to find when business would be slow and I could wait for the tire to be mounted. After driving 30 miles I got to the store when it opened and there were two employees present. One employee who could not put on the tire was helping another customer leaving me and the manager the only people in the store. I told the manager how I had traveled 30 miles and hoped to be able to wait for the new tire to be mounted. He said he had some delivers to make and reminded me of the 24 hr. Policy. Next time I will order tires online from whoever has the best price and free delivery to my how house.

I ordered a Neotec head pad in L13 but received L5 (wrong thickness). I returned it to the store and within minutes had a refund and new L13 on order. Someone evidentially made a packing error but follow up customer service was fantastic. Thank you Hicksville. LI store team.

The stores can't change scooter tires because the rims are too small but all yall you need is the adapter! Please consider that as an added service :) Thank you!

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
