I recall visiting CycleGear in Vernon (Manchester?) CT with my dad and getting a chain and larger back sprocket for my Honda SL100 when I was 16 or 17. I think we got helmets and other things there too. It's been a while, glad CycleGear is still in business, they must be doing something right. Now I'm 67 and live in Maine.
I had this shipped to the store so I could try on the Klim Outriders. Picked up at Cycle Gear Portland on Stark. Hard to get out of there without spending more money! Friendly and helpful staff.
Ordered my replacement tire which was out of stock every where I looked and it was delivered 4 days later
Great staff and attitude. Very helpful. Was overcharged for some items but they were quick to make it right and the staff on the 2nd encounter was even more knowledgeable. Love the merch and variety in store. Will definitely return
Fits as should and made for good riding experience for the road trip.
Purchased a Joe Rocket jacket at a good price. I found the jacket cheaper the next day. I clicked the link for price match, pasted a link and received a refund the next day. Outstanding customer service!
Ordering was simple and direct. The font size was large and clear enough to read without my glasses. All the information was in an easy to find location.
Had trouble with promo code. Called customer service and Daniel got it taken care of. Highly appreciated.
I was disappointed to receive a very dusty box with a used helmet inside. Scuff on the face shield. Fingerprints inside and outside the face shield. Hair and salt/sweat residue inside the helmet and an odor..
I've shopped both in store and on the website and had good experiences with both. The website works great and has helpful and accurate reviews. In store I've talked to multiple workers and all of them have been really nice, helpful, and overall chill people to talk to
I'm happy with the product I purchased and shipping was quick. Thanks
As always, Cycle Gear is my first choice for motorcycle related items. This time I was ordering new tires, Michelin Scorcher 11, the tires were delivered in 2 days, and very well packed. A+!
I highly recommend Cycle Gear, all the time the sale person is an experienced motorcycle rider, with a lot of hints and suggestions, checking details on your purchase, from the way that even gloves fits/feels to the best that you can go for whatever you want. Truly professionals, I wonder how many places are like Cycle Gear!

In store rep was helpful to find what the wife was looking for and figure out proper size. They did not have the jacket in stock she had chose so we ordered it online and it shipped quickly and and was a great experience.
Awesome being able to go to a physical store try on stuff, and do returns there if needed.
I have a Neotec I but needed another helmet. It was between the Neotec II and RPHA 91. Comparing them side-by-side didnt seem like much difference but HJC was cheaper and higher rated. I was about to pull the trigger then double checked. A sales rep noticed and said I had the wrong size; I should be using a Large. The neotec II validated his recommendation. It fit like a glove and seemed light. The HJC had too many hard spots - especially above brow and was uncomfortable, unlike the XL. But the XL sat too low.
After purchasing the Shoei, I did a 2000 mile ride and this helmet was such an improvement over the Neo I (it is an XL), that I'm inclined to replace it with the II.
Visor detents very smooth and just in the right spots. Extremely comfortable. Air flow average. But damn...she is quiet! Never used earplugs or earbuds once, as I have always done. Installed a SENA 50S and I could carry a conversation with visor up at highway speeds!
Two complaints: The preinstalled spot for the internal SENA make mounting an external one towards the rear and this impacts its functionality. I like the ratchet over the D-Ring but the spots where you put the chin straps through the cheekpads looks very flimsy, like it would need replacing often.
Received my two helmets. One of the boxes was open. And did not have the brochure and the tube that the Other helmet had. I wonder if the sold me a return helmet?
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
