Ordered an MX helmet on line. It was shipped to my store. I picked it up. Good deal
Never bought a helmet before and the man who rang us out helped my wife and I choose the right size and an in stock color. He also threw in the Bluetooth headset because it was intended to be an in store purchase.
The only complaint I have is lack of shipment tracking. It kept saying order being prepared, never shipped, and then just showed up one day.
But overall very happy and will be back.

Went in looking for BILT motorcycle dust covers, only had one left, They offered to order another one and ship it to my home...I thought this is great and I went back and ordered 2 more.
While I'm 79 years old and obviously not in any shape to be a serious bike rider, never once have I been treated as someone that has no business being in a motorcycle related store. Quite the opposite in fact!.
I have several motorcycles and I'm restoring some and others,simply maintaining them, thus I will continue buying from Cycle Gear.
Went to the store nearest to me for what i was looking for. Employee called another store 45 min away to put the item on hold. Drove over to pick up the item and as i was about to swipe my card i noticed the shield didn't say RF14 but 12. So clearly the guy was about to sell me the wrong item despite the phone call and me driving 45 min away. Needless to say they had to order/ship it to my house so I couldn't use the helmet that week.

Everyone in store was great. Patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. Two things I'd like to see:
1. Have gear folks can take for a "test drive". Spending this kind of money on gear, with a "once you've worn, you can't return it under any circumstances" policy is kinda jacked, if we can't actually try it in the real world first.
2. If you're running a promotion for free gear upon a particular purchase (I.e. The free comms gear for "helmet week") try to make sure you have it in stock.
Otherwise, everything was great and, thankfully, I'm quite happy with my new helmet, missing comms aside.
We had a jacket we just purchased last fall and the zipper broke, we took it into the store and no questions they replaced it!
Ordered a battery for my KTM. CG was great and delivery was prompt. Only 3 stars for product for now because I haven't actually installed it yet to see if it works

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
