Bought a pair of boots, cycle gear.com says "easy returns." I saw that the entire boot is closed with velcro, no thanks. I didn't even take the boots out of the box. Then I find out I have to pay return shipping. Why couldn't I just return them to a physical store?

Ordering parts and or gear is easy with ship to home or ship to your local store. Usually I ship to store, after my accident I had my new helmet shipped home. Great and easy to order.
Very Easy to Order online! I went in to the store and tried some riding pants on. They did not have my size. I came home and found them online through Cycle Gear. Within a couple of days I had my pants with the correct size.
I'm going to be a new rider and every person in this store was helpful. Everyone was enthusiastic about helping me learn and choose gear. After visiting other shops, I came back and bought all my gear because of the service.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
