I've been to the Woodbury, MN storea couple times and the staff there is awesome. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful from picking a battery charger to helping my wife out with fitment of a new helmet. Definitely worth a 2 hour drive for me to go there.

Worked perfect, removed stock exhaust, installed servo buddy had to start the bike then shut it off a few times then wallah! No Check engine light!

So when I bought my bike the guy gave me a helmet with it. Well couple days later the base plates that hold the bison onto the helmet had broken. While up in the city one day, me and my girlfriend were just driving around killing time. I decided to stop in and just look around. Well I asked him if my helmet was fixable or not. When he asked me what kind of helmet I had my brain froze. I showed him a video of me riding the bike (with the helmet obviously) and he instantly turned around and grabbed a helmet and said "is this your helmet?" And I instantly knew from then on these guys would have my business.

I was taking my last class of rider coach school and I needed some new boots. I went to the Greensboro location on a Monday and received phenomenal customer service. I paid for the boots to be 2 day shipping, arriving Thursday or Friday, well before my weekend class. The shipping company tracking said a Monday delivery. I emailed customer service and within 24 hours an apology and refund for the shipping was given. I was very satisfied with the response, but the star review is because of the delay.

I bought a LS2 Assault helmet with a pinlock insert last summer from Amazon. This winter I found the pinlock was not working to keep the visor fog free and went to the Cycle Gear in Auburn WA to see if they had any idea of what might be wrong. The pinlock had divots where it made contact with pins. They didn't have a pinlock in stock for my helmet so we put a fog city fog shield in. It lasted two days and started fogging again. I took it back in and the salesman found that the anti-fog insert had delaminated from the visor. He found a replacement visor and pinlock on their website, which I couldn't, and we ordered them. I got them in last week but was too sick to ride but the last two mornings my visor has been fog free. I have always gotten good service from Cycle Gear and highly recommend them for all yor Gear needs.
I ordered a new windscreen for my bike, after I placed the order I realized I didn't select the light smoke option and it had automatically opted for clear. I quickly called customer service and they were able to get into my order before it shipped and correct that and a couple of days later the correct windscreen was at my doorstep.
I made an online purchase and did not get my RPM dollars. I purchased icon boots and should have earned RPM dollars

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
