Cycle Gear is always helpful. My son is a new rider. He had some fitment issues with helmets and jackets, and CG took care of him without question on the exchanges.
I've also ordered parts and several tires. Installation is usually a day or less. Amazing service!
Ordered the super quiet or whatever baffles for my short shots. The fiberglass was such a pain in the butt to get in. No fault to anyone involved but V&H. Took me like 2.5 hours to get both baffles in.
I went to the cycle gear store to look at new helmits. The salesperson was attentive to what I was looking for. It was just before Chrismas. I waited until after the holidays to go back to make a purchase. The helmet I thought I was going to purchase did not fit very well, no matter the size or shape. So I Looked again and found a helmet that fit perfectly! This is what happens because of having a large selection to choose from. Overall -- good selection, good prices and good service.
I was in need of a replacement pad for my Shoei helmet. Being an older helmet, many online sites that list the item for sale are flagged "Out of Stock". When I found one in stock, I ordered it, only to be alerted a few days later that they were "Sorry" as they had no stock. Tried again with another website only to have the exact same outcome, so I basically gave up thinking stock was exhausted on the older part.
Several weeks later, I thought to try with Cycle Gear. Their website showed them as having stock on the item, but twice burned elsewhere I had my doubts. I was well pleased when no "Sorry" email followed and I instead received confirmation of the order, confirmation of the shipping, and the item arrived at my doorstep. Very satisfied!
Placed an order for a new visor for my Shoei Neotec 3. Order processed and was delivered faster than expected. Upon opening of the box, however, I noticed that the visor was half sitting in it's OEM packaging and half out. I ordered a slightly tinted visor. While the OEM packaging indicated that my product indeed was slightly tinted, it was not. They must have somehow mistakenly sent a clear one just mistakenly sitting in an opened tinted packaging. I installed it and it works just fine. I elected to keep it, as I did not want to incur the hassle of working through a return and reorder.
Easy to order, and I love the discount and rewards bucks.
For my most recent order, I went into the store so I could make sure they got credit for an order that I had to have placed through the website because it was not available in store. That's how much I love this store and want to make sure it continues to exist in my local area. The people are great and the company is solid. I highly recommend you check out your local store first and if you need something online, go in and get them to order it for you. They'll get the credit that way, so you're making a difference for the employees, and they can also offer you the help that you need and maybe an opinion or two, where It might be helpful to have an opinion not offered by a nameless, faceless starslinger you're not even sure isn't an AI deepfake.:-D
Purchased the HJC i80 helmet along with a smoke face shield. They arrived quickly but the extra shield arrived damaged. The shipping box for the face shield was destroyed by the shipper. CycleGear replaced the face shield.
Overall, I had a good experience. The service met my expectations, and everything was handled professionally. I would consider using this company again in the future.
When I took my rim w tire & new tire to store in LV at Gallaria mall they went above & beyond normal customer service. I even tipped the guy that helped me cause he tried to save me money before they installed the new tire.
So far the experience has been good even though the pants I bought run ridiculously small. I wish that had been noted on the site.
Working with David at the Mesa location for all my needs, as he always goes above and beyond in helping me with products suggestions etc.
CycleGear offers a variety of riding gear, and motorcycle equipment, including tires. And as always, a great shopping experience with pleasant personnel.
Sales people were very helpful. Got the right fit and ordered the color I wanted. It came in within a few days and when I went to pick it up they installed the pinlock anti fog for me. The people at CycleGear have always been quick to assist and very friendly.
I was looking for tires from a specific brand and style, Cycle Gear had everything I was looking for and the best prices around. Thanks.
Very punctual with my delivery status. One of the very first times I had ordered something I guess my item got mixed up somehow and I called customer service and the man I talked to about my issue was very helpful and got it all lined out no problem. Good quality stuff and friendly staff. 👌
I was wanting some riding pants that zipped all the way up so I don't have to take my boots off.
I'm a street rider so I also wanted them to be over the boot.
Only two brands met the above. Already have the Buit brand and I wanted to try something new.
Never heard of Moose Racing before and I don't think it's a regular stocked brand.
Could not be happier.
The first jacket I ordered was too small. Seems that jacket sizes are not what they should be in my experience the last few weeks. However. I returned the jacket to the nearest store and they took care of me straight away. I reordered the next size and it fit well. Cycle gear store in Tulsa is a great store with a great staff.
I visited in person several months ago and bought a Shoei full face helmet after trying several and learning my size. At that time the helmet I wanted (color) was not in stock so it was ordered. Was delivered in good shape.
I decided I wanted a second Shoei helmet, this time modular like one I had tried on in person. Ordered same size as above. Received in perfect condition delivered promptly.
Ordered new tires which they fitted then told me they could not balance the front wheel because the shaft was still in, they should have told me this when I ordered the tires that I had told them I wanted them to install.
I took the wheels home removed the shaft and old bearings took the wheels back, and they told me that they couldn't balance the front wheel again because now the hole was too big! I took the wheel home installed the bearings, so that their limited equipment could then balance the front wheel at this point I noticed there were no weights on the rear wheel which they supposedly had balanced and asked the manager to check it, guess what they hadn't balanced it.
When they balanced the wheels they only had black or white weights for my chrome wheels or other customers' aluminum wheels, you think they would have lead ones! Initially I was told it would be $30 per wheel to fit and balance the tires as I had purchased them from their store therefore $60 plus tax, but wait they installed tubes to which I agreed, then there is a tire disposal fee at the end of the day my $60 became a few cents shy of $140.
FYI, the staff were pleasant enough, but training is needed.
Also, I was not the only customer who was not told to remove the shaft.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
