I ordered a helmet, but then as an afterthought wanted a bluetooth. I called to see if I could have said helmet to the store, but the issue would have been full of red tape and questionable side issues. No worries. I got the helmet, dropped it off at CycleGear, they installed the blue tooth for me, and connected it to my phone. Done deal, happy camper.
My back tire was bald and I ordered a new one and it was shipped to me in two days. Very easy transaction.

Getting back into riding, I visited the Bedford Cycle Gear store to grab new gear—jacket, pants, and gloves. The staff was super helpful and suggested a back protector that fit perfectly with the jacket. They also recommended the RPM membership. That helped receive an additional 10% first time sign up and an online credit of $15. Well worth it. Later, I ordered sunglasses from their website's Closeout section, and they arrived quickly. Quality gear, great protection, and excellent service all around.
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
