I tried online, I tried going to stores. Frustrated. I stopped in to the new store in Michigan and the salesman within 5 min had me in a new comfortable in feeling and price and quality of helmet and boots

Every one here was really good on helping me identify what gear is best to ride on and they give you options to choose from, you don't have to take anything you don't want and they are good at helping new riders know what's good-bad to be using on your bike all you have to do is ask your questions and they will have your answer.

To be Clear. My local store guys were great and did a wonderful job changing my tire in a timely manner. What sucked was that I never received an email or text saying my order was shipped or had arrived at my local cycle gear so I had to chase it down myself.
I like Cycle Gear for their great selection and the RPM membership for the most part. Earning cash back is nice since a lot of gear is expensive. The 2-day shipping benefit has been hit or miss for me, with mostly misses. I think only one or two of my orders has actually arrived by the 3rd day after ordering.
Getting my helmet from cycle gear was easy paid with PayPal waited like 3 days and product was at my nearest cycle gear for pick up!

Overall service by Dallas, Ben and Damon was excellent. Ben was excellent on intaking the tire purchase and mounting and when we picked up the tire. While we were there Dallas worked with us on the fitting and purchase of my wife's helmet and helped us on the purchase of the Cardo Unit. Now after this things went a little south. We got the tire and I went home and mounted the tire on my wife's bike and discovered that the rotor was bent (not warped). The rotor was fine before the mounting of the new tire. We went in after the new helmet arrived to get it fitted and have the Cardo unit installed. Dallas and Damon were super helpful. When told about the rotor Dallas apologized and indicated Cycle Gear would make it right but I needed to call back and talk to Cory the manager and he would take care of us. He did nothing of the sort. He insinuated that the rotor was bent beforehand and I was just trying to get it replaced on Cycle Gear's dime. I have been buying my Tires from Cycle Gear in Novi and J&P in Taylor for the past 10 years or more. I work on our bikes and know what I'm doing. I'm only looking to have the rotor I purchased from HD covered for a whopping $85. The only reason I will continue to shop at Cycle Gear in Novi is because of Ben, Dallas and Damon.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
