I ordered a JBL Soundbar 5.1 from Amazon and waited over 2 weeks before they finally told me the shipment was likely lost. After I cancelled that order, I came back to Crutchfield... the webpage I used to research what surround sound system I wanted in the first place. I ordered the JBL Soundbar 5.1 on a Wednesday morning and it was delivered that Friday afternoon! The surround sound was ridiculously simple to set-up, even including the bluetooth connection to my cell phone. I'm overly pleased with my Crutchfield purchase!

I ordered this sony headunit using the suggested list for my 04 tahoe provided by crutchfield and reviews of different products and I paid for the prewiring. My son put the unit in and he said it was a breeze and really appreciated having the harness prewired. The unit sounds good so far with my Bose system. It's only been since Saturday but so far so good. I'll update my review if anything changes my opinion. I would recommend this unit and buying from Crutchfield and the prewired harness.

Although I'm not fond of having to register with this site for my review to be viewable... I would much rather do it within the crutchfield website but couldn't find out how.

My SVS SB-3000 subwoofer arrived on schedule and in perfect condition. I am very happy with Crutchfield and would have given them five stars except for one thing. They did not require my signature upon delivery, so my $1000 subwoofer sat outside, in my driveway, until I saw that it was there. It could easily have been stolen. If it had been raining, it would have been soaked. If there had been freezing rain, it could have slid down my driveway into the street.

Pros: I love the website and how it sorts speaker options that fit with your car. The website is snappy, the comparisons are done well, and when you order from them you get free adapters and brackets to fit your new speakers to your car. Overall I was very satisfied.

A Big Con: However, the brackets I received did not actually fit my 2013 Civic Sedan and forced me to spend more time on my car to put in the speakers than I preferred. I did not notice that the brackets given to me were not correct until I spent hours getting upset because the mounting process was a pain. I ended up cutting the old speakers out the the old brackets and using those ones which turned out to be an easy process but it could have been avoided if I had the correct brackets for my car given to me by Crutchfield in the first place. Luckily the brackets are free, but if you offer free brackets they probably should fit the customer's car. Honestly, it is not all Crutchfield's fault because I should have read the label on the bracket packaging, but I was super excited for my new car speakers and they turned out to be really nice too so whatever. MAKE SURE YOU READ FIRST!

- Can't beat the price!
- The removal instructions were great. I would have taken much longer to figure it out on my own. (The RetroSound Santa Fe factory install instructions were a little more shaky, but that was not a Crutchfield issue.)
- Suggest offering wiring harness splice kit when selling the RetroSound radio. The factory connectors are great, but you still have to connect the specific factory conversion to the generic radio connector.
- I intended to get a pair of speakers for the dash in the 1988 Chevy C3 truck. I bought a pair of RockfordFosgate R1,5" speakers, but the magnet was too big to fit in the whole. I had to buy a pair of Pioneer 4" x 6" to match the original hole and mounting. It would have saved me time and money if the website gave a better, precise selection for the application that I was looking for.
