I have had cricket for quite a while. Everything is going along just fine until today. I tried to change my phone number, first by using the app. Unsuccessful. So I use the chat and the useless robot that only spits out pre-recorded messages that mean absolutely nothing to me. Then I tried calling the 800 number that's supposed to be customer support. The first one I talked to just hung up on me. Then I called back again and waited 45 minutes for an answer. I waited for nothing because I still didn't get an answer. The closest thing I got to an answer was tough. I would not recommend cricket to my worst enemy or my dog. I wish I could just terminate, but apparently I can't. But you can bet I will not ever ever ever use them again and I won't recommend them to anybody! They really really really really stink! I wouldn't have given them one star, but they don't have less than one star to offer.
A hacker called Cricket pretending to be me and asked them to relinquish my number to him. They did and he used it to reset passwords on my bank accounts and steal my money. When I asked Cricket to give me a new number so I could "unravel" my financial messes, they said they would need to charge me $70.00 for a new number. This was after I was on hold for 45 minutes. When I told the Cricket rep that they were the ones that gave away my number and should give me a new one free, she said no and accused me of taking my own number---which makes no sense. This company is rotten to the core.
Very long hold times to get a live rep, every representative I have spoken with is not clear English. Does not care if you are a long time consumer and will not make exceptions to the rules. Will be looking for another courier
I've been a customer with Cricket for numerous years. I have put up with their attitudes for the last time!
They turned off my service when I explained to the "manager" that I needed my phone most importantly so my Doctors offices could schedule me for tests having to do with cancer.
This is not the only instance but, to me, it's the most important.
I've decided I wasn't going to put up with this anymore. I will have my phone service set up within a week.
They also took money from my account that put me overdrawn.
These money hungry communication services have no heart or sympathy.
They can all kiss my $#*!!
My friend told me about cricket phone, I went to Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and the girl was not so nice with me. I told my friend about the experience and she told me to go to Greenville, Michigan, after waiting 25 days I went to Greenville office and meet a super nice person named Candice, she help me transfer my phone number from straight talk to cricket, made sure know all the cricket policy's and what a great phone service cricket is. I had the best, no the greatest experience with any phone carrier. Candice was very helpful.
I have been on hold for over three hours then the cs rep comes in and tells me steps to do and doesn't even want to wait for them to get done. I paid off my phone! Why is it still locked? I asked to speak to the supervisor because it was clear that the lady was reading from a script and was not interested in seeing if anything worked. I am totally disgusted by this company. Now it is another 2 hours and 17 minutes and still NO SUPERVISOR. I have NOT gotten my pricked solved and will put this on EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA PLACE I KNOW! The lady that I spoke to was NOT helpful at all and only wanted to rush off the phone and the steps site gave me were not even valid. I would think that the initial 2 plus hours worrying to spro to someone would at least give me the time or of their day to solve my problem. Never again! I have nothing good to at about this company and their customer service is garbage! You owe me $150 for my time I have spent waiting
Very poor customer service, unable to solve the issue/problem where my card was double charged for a bill. The only thing they could do was give me a credit for next month.
Save yourself the frustration and avoid this service. If you're looking for an honest review, here's my experience. I was a customer of their top plan for years, but enough was ENOUGH.
Inferior - Their service, Good luck trying to maintain a decent quality phone call with this service, much less an important call. You'll both continually ask each other to repeat your selves to the point you hang up hoping for a better connection next call.
Slow- Their internet connection and hotspot speed. I often wanted pull my hair out waiting for the page to load, simple tasks were easier and more efficiently accomplished with a laptop on public wifi.
Incompetent - Describes their staff and even Customer services supervisors. Numerous occasions I've rang their 611 ( customer service) number with questions and unfortunately ended the call with more frustration than when the call began. Good luck getting any actual useful information from them, yet alone have a question answered from them. Not only are they difficult to understand, apparently their headsets aren't quality enough to offset their headsets so they're not breathing directly into the mic. Just today I spoke with 2 reps and experienced this very issue, one of which was noticeably upset when I asked reposition the headset and repeat their selves due to the inability to understand them due to their respirations.
Coverage- If you're looking to travel a bit (international) and want a service you can keep with you, this isn't it.

Cricket costs less but their phone and on line service reeks. After an hour on the phone trying to figure out why they were double billing me and charging me two late fees, I got help at their retail store. Do not get phone service from these people!
Came to purchase a new phone. Staff explained options and I chose an upgrade. When this phone was brought out to set up on my account, the staff found that the phone was not working properly. He tried several different things but was unable to get it to work properly. He suggested I choose another phone and contacted Cricket on the phone to help. The phone I chose was $103 less than the phone I had originally chosen but did NOT receive due to no fault of my own or this staff person. When I contacted the district manager Jessica,, I received no answer for 4 days. When I finally called in and spoke to another staff person at this office, I was told I could not get my upgrade fee of $25 (plus tax) refunded to me. They asked me to call the worker and ask him to paay me the money out of his pocket! What? This is beyond unethical...because their phone was defective and UNAVAILABLE for me to purchase...I still have to pay for an upgrade fee for a phone that I didnt get? Or else the poor guy who was working alone with a dozen customers waiting for service is penalized...all because he was honest and wouldnt sell me a defective phone! I am a loyal 10 year plus Cricket customer and this is how Im treated over $25. It is no wonder they cant get anyone to work in their stores...what a way to treat an employee who was only doing his best to give good customer service. This review will be going on as many sites as possible, as I think its important for people to know how Cricket treats their loyal customers and employees! I am beyond angry!
I was 2 days late on bill. I went to the cricket store and was told I would have to have a new phone number and they did not tell me I would have to re-apply for ACP again,that was in May at the same time I signed up for auto pay. In June I was billed $90.00 it was removed from my account when it should have been $30.00. I called to found out they never cancelled the old line and was charging me for 2 lines instead of one and they had removed the ACP account. I call customer service and was told there wouldn't be a bill for 2 months, but that was wrong. I got another bill. I called again and was told to contact my bank, I did. The bank put the money back. Now my phone has been turned off and they are saying I owe $70.00. If they don't get this right I will contact my Attorney General. The customer service is terrible.
They have great coverage, great deals, they don't just have basic cheap phones, they have top notch Samsung devices &the newest iPhone, the 14 Pro Max. Nev3r any issues
I want to give Jackie & Sam a Shout out at the store 1678 W 4100 S Salt Lake City, UT *******. Jackie is an amazing manager at this store she helped me get a new phone with a really great discount! And today was Sam's first day and he did very well. Jackie helped me out by giving me a really great discount on a new phone Thank you Jackie & Sam! It really made my Friday to leave with a new phone i really needed it. I would recommend this location to have Jackie & Sam to help you with your phone needs. Thank you again.
I had to cancel my account because I left the country. I did it on the pay day and been promised to get refund for this month in 10 days. When it didn't happened I checked with them and the answer was the policy is no refund for cancelation. Didn't matter to them at all that I was told differently from their rep and that I didn't use their service at all this month
Customer service is terrible RUDE unhelpful and they seem to care less about your situation I suggest that anybody considering cricket to run the other way life's to short
Cricket wireless is a sham. Stay away. They will change your bill amount and get mad when you try to itemize the charges over the phone. Customer support is trash and you can't understand a thing they're saying. Stay away from this fraudulent company with weak service that continually drops calls.
One day my phone stopped working. Cricket said I no longer had an account. Why? Cricket ported my telephone number to another carrier without my permission or even my knowledge. They send you a text when they are about to bill you each month but NO TEXT when they are about to port your phone number without your permission? The thieves now had access to EVERYTHING on my phone and stole whatever they could: email accounts, credit cards, bank accounts, brokerage accounts and this only scratches the surface. Their horrific customer service then threw gasoline on the fire. I was never able to contact one competent person. All they did is read a bunch of lies off the computer screen. STAY AWAY FROM CRICKET. They are dangerously incompetent.
I lose service on a regular basis for a minimum of two days. When I can finally get through I have to talk to two or three Representatives to find out they are having tower problems
I am a Senior Citizen. Cricket just ripped me off for $120.00. When I signed up nobody informed me there were no refunds for an unused month. This is a terrible way to treat Seniors. Never ever sign up with Cricket.
Answer: That's what they do best. Lie. When I first joined I was trying to get the New Customer deal. But they did not Honor it.
Answer: The bbb is definitely no help. Lawyers are out for themselves. Post the truth on every review platform you can. They work. Im a professional reviewer for a major home improvement warehouse and they do get results. Cricket is the worst company i have ever dealt with. Expose them
