The software is so buggy that it is unusable on most platforms. Technical support appear to be non-existent and have ignored all my requests for help to date.
Crave tv, is a requirement of your customer service reps that they have half a brain? It always freeze. Haven't been able to use it for 3 weeks because of updates and they don't want to credit my account. It is not user friendly at all. I would not recommend this service to my worst enemy. Please try to hire more intelligent workers in the future.
Crave has some decent shows. But the website is far from user friendly. I constantly need to sign in between shows or episodes, I ALWAYS have to maximize screen twice, when I go to play a season 5 episode it brings me all the way back to season 1 episode 1 and I have to scroll all the way back to where I was. Right now it is telling me I have restricted access due to parental controls when im on season 5? I am an adult! This is the most rediculous thing ever. 10 minutes after struggling to watch my GD it is like nothing happened and I can watch my show again... Why am I giving them my money? Why?
I made a huge mistake on subscribing to this site thinking it would be 10/10 but needless to say it's like -1/10. The website is incredibly slow ahd extremely glitchy on every device (app, SmartTV, website) and all the shows are outdated. It's a shame that awesome shows like letterkenny aren't on netflix since it was the reason I subscribed to Crave but I can't even bare how frustrating it is to work their site just watch it so I unsubscribed or at least I thought I did. Month later I got billed on my credit card even after Reassuring three times that I wouldn't. I just spent 1.5 hrs on the phone TRYING to cancel again and asking for a refund... I'm now currently waiting for my refund to be approved for my $10.50. What an absolute joke and a huge scam! Please save your money and time and don't even bother!
Since the merge between cravetv and TMNGO they have lost most of their content and is a hollow shell of its former sites. This is incredibly disappointing as I always thought the two companies were actually better then Netflix. Do not waste your money for 30 or so movies you can stream for free. If anyone at Crave or Time Warner see this PLEASE return to the old formats as you will lose all your business and this will be the end of this venture. Hoping for the best.
I do not recommend Crave TV. I made the mistake of paying a year in advance for Crave TV. It's so bad. Their programming is years old and C grade. I tried to get a refund after they automatically charged my card for the second year and they refused to refund me for that year when i cancelled. Now I am paying for it again through Rogers. What a scam. They are not long for this world with this very poor business practise.
I subscribe to TMN & HBO and now have to use crave tv to watch online. I never thought id say this about anything, but Crave is worse than the TMNGo site! It logs you out after every episode and when you log back in, it starts you off at episode 1 again. Also, you have to visit multiple pages that load super slowly in order to log in; even their homepage takes about a minute of loading before you can search or click on anything. Other than that, the shows are pretty good... I just wish it weren't so hard to actually watch them.
I'm looking for movies on my original subscription but can't see that you pay extra until I click on the movie and it says that you have to get the plus. I'm an original subscriber at $10/month. But I am also a customer, so why treat me like I'm second class to the "new" HBO +?
The website is buggy, the new version with HBO package is worst and i tried to cancel my subscription 30 minutes after subscribing because of wrong credit card and nobody would help me.
Personally i really like all of the content that crave has to offer, i really hate using their website. It is SO slow, it ALWAYS crashes and signs me out after every episode... like what bull$#*! is that
I had the 9.99 Crave subscription plus i pay around $15 a month for HBO/The movie network here in Canada through my TV provider-Shaw Direct. This always gave me access to TMNGO online to watch movies and tv programs. Now since Crave and TMNGO merged, it does not matter if you have a crave subscription or HBO subs through a tv provider, they are useless, You are now limited to what you can watch unless you up your crave subscription to a $20 a month option when i'm ALREADY PAYING FOR THAT. This is complete BULL. If they don't fix this and respond to my emails I will cancel it altogether and I have about 17 other people ready to cancel their Crave TV subscriptions as well. We will spread the word as well, this is blatant thievery and deception and they are not going to get away with it. Fix your bull-crap Crave before everyone ditches you and you go obsolete like myspace.
Today I had no access to shows even though I paid. I was told that it was because they are upgrading. No noticed. Also everything that comes up on screen including HBO shows I watched on 9.99 are now double priced. You feel like you have to upgrade. As a long time customer I am disappointed with the greed and poor quality of service. I rather pay for Netflix.
Horrible! Very glitchy, even though I have no issues with streaming on Netflix or youtube. Cost's a considerable amount more than netflix and now has a new feature of movies but to watch any of them it's an additional 9.99 a month or 99.90 bucks a year. For a few movies and some additional shows it doubles your subscription price. If it crashes (which it does a lot) if you were watching an episode it wont play from the one you were currently watching, but the one you started with when you started watching the show. Then there is no way to skip to the next episode like Netflix has with the skip arrow. Will not be renewing.
They rush you off the phone and basically say "figure it out yourself" They don't take prepaid cards. Gift cards take a day to activate. Horrible service.
I can now pause, play, and access closed captions easily. Did Crave do a recent upgrade in October 2018? I was so close to cancelling my subscription despite the high quality shows, now I am a devoted customer. Thanks Crave for the impeccable improvements. Keep it up and you will give netflix a run for their money.
Desktop website is ridiculously glitchy and it will not run on any of the devices it claims to be compatible with. I contacted them and told them to deactivate the subscription, scrub all of my personal information, and delete the account in its entirety immediately. They are refusing to do so before the end of the trial subscription even though I have covered every single base and lodged a complaint against them with the BBB.
I live in a rural area and don't have a super fast connection, but I can watch Netflix, YouTube, & Prime Video in at least 720p - sometimes if the stars are with me, in 1080p. Cravetv runs at 360 tops, and sometimes 244. Furthermore, about every 15 minutes on average, it just stops and says that the video can't be played back. When you reload, it doesn't start from where it stopped - it starts from the beginning of the show if you are lucky, or from an earlier episode if not. Other streaming sites have worked for many years - how can this one be so bad?
About six months back I wrote a review about how glitchy this service was, and I am sad to report it is has not improved. I signed up again to Watch Game of Thrones, and paid $20+ to do so.
The site still can't keep track of which episodes I'm watching and bugs out if I pause it for too long. That's old news. What's new is that it keeps telling me I've got too many devices, but I only use it on two. It seems to see different times I use the service as using it on a different machine -- even though I'm using it on the same browser.
And now the service is just down completely downdetector.com reports it started about two hours ago. This is a regular occurrence when Game of Thrones episodes first air, but now problems are happening more frequently.
I was attracted to CraveTV's library and imagined myself catching up on all the HBO shows I've missed but I cannot even sign in via my smart TV app - keeps prompting me for a code and then freezes. So frustrating and an excellent example of how important user interface is.
Do not use crave it's the absolute worst. Don't even use the free trial. I couldn't log into my account ever, not even to unsubscribe. These guys are criminals
Answer: I would not recommend getting CraveTV. Their customer support and technical support as well as quality is not upto the mark to compete with other service providers.
Answer: Because they only offer the absolute bare minimum for a streaming service, I suspect the ONLY reason it has lots of subscribers because crave seems to offer more rare shows, but for a bigger price mind you.

Answer: You can't! In the settings online, there is an option, but it doesn't carry over to whatever streaming device you're using it with. Incompetent morons, owned and operated by Canada's leading internet service provider. And Bell Media wonder why people don't like them. My sister has a theory... that Bell keeps their website design backward and out of sync with current progress, so they have an excuse to charge you extra money for their incompetence.
