'Custom' not 'Fitted' means a 'Lose' fit.
September 22, 2025

Ordered a set of front covers for 4Runner, paid over $300 for supposedly fitted covers that included headset and console. Order was a week late. It did not include console cover and is not fitted, it is 'custom' which means 'lose' fit. Called to return and was told I would have to pay not only shipping but also restocking fee (TBD by them once received and it could be anything between 30% to 50% of cost paid). A truly 'fitted' set of covers would be approximately 500+. Just tried to install; passenger seat cover does not allow for seat adjustment controls so this not for a 'Limited' model of the 4Runner.

March 31,2025, I purchased seat covers for my Honda Element. The website advertised the covers as custom made for the vehicle. I paid $180.14. Upon payment, I received a text message confirming and asking me if there was anything else they could do for me. I took the opportunity to reply to the text regarding the fitment of the covers to my seats. Since all Honda Elements have integrated armrests in their seats, I asked them to confirm that the seat covers allowed for the armrests. There were several text message exchanged, and the service rep (Sarah) assured me that the seat covers were designed for my vehicle and that they were going into production asap. I explained that if the covers do not allow for the armrests, then I had no need for them and would need to cancel the order. She assured me the seat covers were designed for my vehicle, and that she would check with their team to confirm and reach back out to me. They never got back with me and the covers arrived 2-weeks later. Upon receipt, I slid them over my seat back and of course they would not fit because of the integrated armrest. I immediately contacted Covercraft and asked for a return label due to the non fitment related to the armrest that I brought to their attention on the date of purchase. Their customer support (Rhey) contacted me back, making it sound like it was my fault that they didn't fit. They supplied me with an RMA# and told me to make sure it was visible on the package upon return. I replied requesting a return label from them, because I was not paying for the return shipping cost due to their mistake misleading the customer, and that I had already contacted them on date of purchase about the pending armrest issue. This could've been avoided if they had just been honest and told me upfront that they wouldn't fit. They knew or should have known they wouldn't fit due to the integrated armrest. They are not designed for a Honda Element as advertised! BTW, the quality of the seat covers were subpar. I could have bought better seat covers from Walmart at 1/3 of the price paid for these, but of course I would have had the same armrest issue.

In 2020, I purchased a truck cab cover for my 2017 Chevy Silverado. Within 1.5 - 2 years the material started ripping around the extended mirrors. The material ripped right along the seams. I just missed the four year warranty, even though I showed the extensive repairs I completed and the deterioration that had been done much earlier. Yes, I did repairs because I sew and thought - shoot, I need this cover. Even if replaced, I doubt any new cover would have stood up to normal wear and tear. My 2017 truck has 11,000 miles which shows how little it's driven, but needed when necessary. What a waste of $460. And they would only offer a 10% discount. How does that work for a budget? Don't waste your money.

I purchased a Carhartt custom dash cover. When I receive the product, the color look nothing like the picture and it was a flimsy piece of felt. I paid almost $100 for it. When I called, I returned it. I was told it didn't matter if it was poor quality I still had to pay a 20% restocking fee. Buyers beware I would not purchase from them again!

Can't get seats clean
October 22, 2024

Someone spilled water in my seat and it left a water stain. No matter what I use, the stain won't come up. Covercraft suggestion is to buy another set and they'll give 10% off.

Customer service would not respond until a week later. Offered replacement only after i sent the porsche cover back. Looking at 3-5 days on return. 9-10 days on reship. NOPE. They are painting across street from my parking area and I already have overspray. I was looking to minimize damage. By the time covercraft actually follows through the painting will be finished. I opted for a refund. Definitely not worth the time and effort.

Ultra-cheap fabric, probably less than a dollar's worth, and 50 cents worth of Mexican labor. The fit was terrible also. For which they charge $90 plus tax, after posting a huge number of fake reviews on their website and paying to promote their $#*!ty products. Then they stole 20% from me to return it, and I had to pay the $20 shipping charge. They are criminals and should be in jail.

Covercraft seat covers are just that seat covers and it's exactly what they look like. Some what difficult to install without pulling the seats out. Sorta of reminds me of putting a burlap sack over the seat. To expensive for what you get.
Tried working with CC about the issues with the fitment on the center console but all they want to do is sell you something instead of making it right.
My recommendation is don't waste your money

Dash mat
February 6, 2024

I was excited to order a dash mat for my new 2023 Ford Explorer. (I've ordered dash mats from other companies). It took no time to receive the mat, but I was puzzled when I went to put it in my car. There was sewn flap on the passenger side, which seemed odd. There is no vent or anything where this flap is. I questioned why there was this flap. Their response was "for the airbag, all our custom mats are made this way ". Well that's fine and dandy, but if I had to rely on an air bag that would hit the windshield and not my passenger, that would scare me. I told the customer service person that I was very disappointed, had they put that in their description or photo I would not of ordered it. I got no response. I will not order from this company again, very disappointed and a waste of $80. Now I have to look at this ugly flap every time I get in my car.!

I'm positive on both Covercraft the manufacturer and Carcoverworld the online car cover distributor due to my experiences with both their customer service and product quality.
Our large SUV is used for towing our travel trailer but most of the time it's parked on a pad beside the garage on the southwest side of our house. For 5 and 1/2 years it's worn a custom fit Covercraft Weathershield HD cover exposed to the Tennessee summer heat and UV and winter cold. Over that time, while the elastic has relaxed some, the color and the fabric itself have not faded or weakened. The stitching weathered less gracefully, though, and a seam opened up during a recent windy winter storm.
For a warranty to be worth anything, the company offering it must first of all still exist when a claim occurs and then be willing to honor it and be responsive with their customer service. I was happy to find that after 5 and 1/2 years, the warranty was for 6 years and still in effect both and that the seller and manufacturer were still in business. They responded within a business day to my initial email requesting warranty service. Subsequent communications were responded to in a few hours and very quickly a replacement custom cover was on order. A week after I had provided Covercraft with photos showing the ripped seam and product label, later the new cover arrived at no new cost to me.

Not honest
January 23, 2024

I read so many bad reviews and was really nervous about ordering from this site. We have a 2007 truck that is a new body style for that year and I was really concerned about the seat covers fitting. I decided to call to make sure the fit would be correct, I was told that yes it would fit. I also wanted to make sure because of the weird fit that I wouldn't have to pay for return shipping and restocking fee. I was told I wouldn't have to pay for either. Well… that was a lie! I had to call and beg for a shipping label and now come to find out because I didn't know who I talked to they are charging me a restocking fee! They are so dishonest. Don't buy from this site!

NOT WATERPROOF. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Very Misleading. For one, its called Aqua Shed. Mentions all throughout the post that its water resistent, water repellant, but according to the customer service agent it never said "Water Proof". Again, super misleading, very sneaky on behalf of the company. I live in California, in the very dry central valley. It rained for a little bit and water immediately soaked through. Pretty pointless spending $250 on a "quality" trailer. The customer service was the worst part of the whole experience, the woman on the phone sounded irritated from the get-go. She did nothing but explain that my return request was rejected point blank period. No option for returning with a restocking fee. Even though its been less than 2 weeks since i received my shipment. I initially felt comfortable purchasing because the post said we could return with a 20% restocking fee. Never said approval would be needed. This website gives off very professional vibes, but the customer service woman made it feel like a mom n pop shop that makes up their own rules. Will NEVER shop here again. **SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED.

I purchased a cover craft dash mat and the fit was not perfect but it was ok. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for fit. However, there is a huge flap in the cover where the air bag is placed in the car. Looks terrible. When I called covercraft they told me that flap had to be there for the air bag. I feel the 2 ounces of fabric, whether stitched together or cut in a flap would not be enough to impede an air bag deploying at such force. It's like if I laid a tshirt on the dash, IMO that would be pushed out of the way in a fraction of a second but they stated they "had" to put the flap in. There may be something out there but I have looked and not been about to find anything legally requiring it to be installed with a flap. It just looks awful. So I called to return and then they told me it was a 15% "restocking fee" ie, I have to walk back over to the shelf and put it back. Total rip off. I'd go ANYWHERE else but this company.

I kept emailing for status on my order and was told it would be shipped "very soon," or "next week." I finally got tired of waiting and asked them to cancel the order. There was no issues getting my money back, but what a pain! I waited and waited only to order through another website and had my 2 dash mats within a week. Would not recommend covercraft at all!

Covercraft used to be good when Bob started it. They son Marty took over. Then they got the boys from Century Park Capital in there and started to buy up other cover companies. The fabric got thinner and cheaper and the thread wears out before anything else. Funny how marine covers can withstand the UV rays but Covercraft thread just rots away before the rest of it. I have 2 older covers that I've resewn with Sailrite lifetime thread. Used it on an older Weathershield cover when they used a thicker fabric. It still holds up. Now around 20 years later. I had ordered a replacement Weathershield after they had gone to 2 different thicknesses. I got the heavier one which was now thinner and it didn't last maybe 4 years and even the fabric was falling apart as well as the cheap thread. Yet another company that went to hell when the big boys took over. I don't or sell their crap anymore
