I was disappointed in myself upon realizing that I should have more carefully read the terms of the transaction when I found a surprise $20 charge on my credit card bill. I called upset to cancel and did not anticipate the call going well. However, the gentlemen, who's name is failing me now, was a superb professional. He did not personalize my frustration and handled my bluntness like a friend. He was able to cancel my subscription and went out of his way to mend the situation. I was so impressed with him as an individual asset to this company that I would keep them in mind if I did look to subscribe to a service like this in the future. Well played good sir! Hopefully your recognized by your superiors and offered a position where you can have a greater impact.

My comments would be to state up front that this is not a free service and that the company is located in England as this may cause problems when trying to pay for service with a credit or debit card as was the case for me.
Review your web site for technical problems with the payment page. I did not have a block on my debit card, yet your payment page would not accept the 3 digit security code and therefore I had to make my payment on the phone through your rep. He had to make two attempts to get your system to accept my debit card. This problem took a great deal of time involving, first calling your rep. when repeated payments attempts failed, then calling my bank, which of course had a long wait time, and after finding out there was no block on my card, calling your rep. back to finally get the payment through! All these problems cost me a great deal of time. If it had not been for these time wasting technical difficulties, I would have given you a 5 star rating.

Resignation letter

I used this service to write a resignation letter in a pinch and it was very helpful. I will be using it again for resume update when I am ready. I'm between jobs now, so I don't need to be paying the monthly subscription fee. While the website seemed to be hung up when I tried to cancel online, I called their 844 # provided on my emailed out email confirmation of order note and found the phone worker very helpful in cancelling my account. I also have access to the site for another two weeks beyond my cancellation date! I also received immediate cancellation confirmation via email. I was very satisfied by this service. Thank you CLN!

I used this service to write an amazing resume and cover letter to land my dream job. I am truly beyond satisfied with this service, as it made an otherwise laborious task very easy! I decided to cancel my subscription only because I felt I no longer needed these services so close to retirement. I contacted a customer service representative (Juan Morales) via chat to assist me with the process, and he was amazing! Friendly, cordial, knowledgable, and made sure I knew every option available to continue with my subscription if I so desired. He was thorough but never pushy and went above and beyond in making the process comfortable and personal. I give Cover-Letter-Now 5 stars, and Juan 6 stars for being a superstar! Thank you for providing this service! I am so glad I took the step I needed to, when I needed to, and it worked so well for me!

Horrible

Signed up for a free trial, didn't realize they would just start taking money out of my account, no email confirmations, updates or anything to allow me to know that I was still signed up for something I didn't use. I didn't find it helpful or useful. Contacted them figuring maybe I could get a few free months since I NEVER used it and there was no help. Wouldn't recommend it.

The following serves as a guide which may clarify any doubts you may have regarding your account: Our free account gives you the opportunity to try out our service before deciding to purchase. To further our user experience, we provide the option of a 14-day trial for a small fee. When you select our 14-day trial enrollment, it provides all details on screen that after the 14th day it will auto enroll into the monthly subscription service. It also explains, that you can cancel at any given time. This alert is also given when the credit card information is requested where it explains that, unless you cancel, you automatically authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription.
Lastly, when you finish your enrollment process, an e-mail is sent explaining this as well.
We apologize for any confusion this may have risen. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns regarding our products and services.

Yearly Cancellation

Hi. I accidentally ordered the yearly subscription to this service, when what I really wanted was the monthly service. I immediately called Cover-Letter-Now and the representative was friendly and knowledgeable. My yearly subscription was cancelled and a refund issue during our conversation. Additionally, they offered me a discount off of the monthly charge posted on their website. I am very pleased with their customer service and would suggest them to anyone needing resume and cover letter assistance.

I believe I'm not the only who has encountered this renewal fee situation, in fact, mine is still not settle. I signed up for the basic subscription and just like almost every other subscriber, I overlooked the cancellation policy that I have been charged a $39.8 so called renewal fee every month and the amount has accumulated to over $600 now. I have spoken with different agents through live chat but could only receive 5 months refund and left me unanswered with the rest of the overcharges. Agents promised me will escalate to higher management, still have not heard back from anyone since Jan 4. What's even more frustrating is that, the agent said the renewal fee is changed to $9.95 each month as a company courtesy to me, soon enough I realized my credit card was charged this amount immediately. However, based on my subscription, the renewal would not happen until every end of the month. But here we are, I'm being mis-charged again!

I wrote email to them, got treated as a brand new case, wrote to them again, only got told will hear back as soon as possible. I'm very upset about their services. I still have not heard from them to date.
I strongly suggest that they should remove such renewal policy since it's very misleading and from these reviews, I'm sure I'm not the only one. It does not make sense when the subscribers initially signed for the cheapest plan and then got charged 30x more in each month if they forgot to cancel the plan. I have been inactive and have not used any of their services after the first time use. Cover-Letter-Now is seriously a sneaky company, all of their money are earned from cheating subscribers with hidden terms and conditions that we're not familiar with. NOT RECOMMENDING to anyone, DO NOT subscribe! CANCEL your subscription now if you can! I would rate a zero if I could!
