Ordered a set of pans first week of december it is now March and I still haven't received them... Every two weeks I ask where my order is and they say another 2-4 weeks. I asked for refund and they gave a part refund saying part of the order was in shipping. A week later, guess what? It is not in shipping and can be expected in a week. Right. At some point, you just have to assume that customer service staff are fed bad information or are liars and just want you to go away. They sell stuff they don't have at great prices... the problem is that you may not receive the stuff, ever.
I should of done my research on this company before purchasing. Placed an order for a product that was in sock and ready for delivery. 2 weeks later and still have not received my order. I will be taking this dispute to Pay Pal
I purchased two LoDge cast irons from this company as the original company is American and doesn't ship to Canada. I didn't see the order was shipped after a week. I sent an email and the response was it could take 2-4 weeks for the items to be in stock
After reading many bad reviews I called and asked for a refund. I got quite anxious. Because I was on a time line. I had to press 2 as pressing 1 lead to an automated message.
I spoke to a very helpful representative who cancelled the part of my order that wasn't in stock and shipped out the rest of the order ASAP.
I felt the response to the problem was very helpful and recommend calling talking to a human and being proactive in the followup. It's not ideal but was useful for my experience
Ordered a $1840 coffee grinder in November 2021, and as of mid February 2022 I have neither received my order not even been given an update on when I may ever see it.
It took 5 emails to get a vague update in early January saying the manufacturer was out of stock... no updates since, no offers for a refund.
Do not buy from Cook Store.
Cookstore waited 6 days to get back to my request for price match. By the time they got back the other offer was expired and cookstore took the opportunity not to honour the cheaper price.
They didn't provide a return label, instead I had to pay $30 for shipping. Never again with that store.

Yet without fail, I get the email: Back Order, 2-4 Weeks.
5 weeks later I contact: oh we're sorry, looks like 2-4 more weeks.
3 weeks later? 2-4 more weeks.
I got a refund after 9 weeks and finding the item elsewhere. This site and the others like it have items that are hard to get in Canada, and usually for a slightly better price. Always check Cookstore.ca, kitchenessentials.com and kitchensmart.ca. But be warned: they all play this same game. An unending wait for products.
Their customer service is: list everything on website, take money, place order overseas, don't even bother tracking those orders or giving the customer actual information. You can tell their employees are not allowed to say anything except:
"Thank you for your order. That will be 2-4 weeks."
I placed an order Nov 30 2021 expecting to receive it before Christmas. Due to the large number of order this was delayed so fare acceptable. Dec 28 I received the information that it would be delayed for another 3 weeks witch I accept. Jan 24 I am informed that one of the item will not be available and ask me to look at an other Color which I accept. I told them my choice and they told me that I would have to pay an extra 38.00$ To get that one. Note that this is the same item in a different Color…they did not accept to give me the price advertised on my original order. I have been waiting for this Christmas gift for. 2 months and that's all they have to offer. Very disappointed and unhappy with this customer experience.
I won't get into the details. Read all the other bad reviews. Poor customer service. I have a hunch that they hold your money as long as possible before drop shipping to increase profits. Do yourself a favour and read some reviews, you'll end up shopping somewhere better. I ended up buying from the Manufacturer and had it delivered in 4 days. Zero stars!
I did a $355.00 order for 5 Thermal Bunn carafes and was told almost 2 weeks later there would be a $190 extra shipping fee. The only caveats they mention on their site are items over 30lbs or in remote locations will be extra freight. The order was to Vancouver BC. Not remote. Then I chatted and emailed asking if the order was over 30lbs could they put them in separate boxes. They said yes, no problem. Or I could order each one separately and it should come I thought also. So they had no excuse but to tell me the manufacturer has shipping costs which means they don't stock it but just order from the manufacturer and have them send it. They don't mention that either in their shipping explanation. Also their "Expert Help" phone line doesn't even have an option to talk to anyone. It tells you to email. I had it refunded.
They need to update their "Free Shipping" information. Waste of my time.
We ordered some Christmas gift with their site, but did not noticed the backordered note and did not read the reviews. After 6 weeks without updates I read the reviews and freaked out. I called them, but voice message ask for email communication and I did that. That experience did not live up to the bad reviews I can read here. Answers came within 30-45 minutes. In the end I asked for cancellation of order and a refund and it was issued right away and shown on bank statement within 3 business days. One star out for selling out of stock goods and cashing money right away.

The knife was a gift for my brother, and I ordered early exactly to avoid to not receive before my trip to see him.
Unfortunately, I going to my trip without my order, due the Cook Store's incompetence to do what they promise.
Plus, I just saw in the website the knife still available there with the same advertisement (2 to 4 weeks for shipping), but they DON'T have it at stock?
I will never recommend the Cook Store! The worst store ever.
P. s I tried to contact them many times to solve the delay in my order, and finally I decided to cancel it.
I ordered a chef's knife for my mum's birthday and the $200 payment was processed immediately.
I emailed to ask how long it would take to deliver, and was told it would take up to 14 days excluding weekends and holidays.
After 14 days, it had still not been delivered. So I wrote an email requesting a full refund. Two weeks later, I still haven't received a refund, and my mum's birthday is now in the distant past.
There's nothing worse than online companies taking funds for products they KNOW that they don't have.

I ordered with plenty of time for Christmas only to be told a week out that I had cancelled my order (I did not) and that I had been refunded (I had not).
Being so close to Christmas I went and re bought the items elsewhere. When I wrote about my refund they said that was a duplicate (?) and that my order was waiting on something to ship.
I asked to simply cancel my order but they replied I couldn't because it was already shipped. What a load of BS.
I will have to try and return the item is they ever show up at all.

Ordered 3x items on the website and received order confirmation on Dec 3. Phoned the *******595 to ask when the planned to ship the order... nobody answers you just get a message to send and email: *******@cookstore.ca
I then sent an email and they did not answer my question but gave a general 2-3 week delivery time...
By the 5th email... Finally, I cancelled the order after getting a Jan 10th shipping date (that would be approximately 6 weeks or more... I don't trust or believe them...)

I ordered and paid for 3 products (two knives and a cookie press). It took almost a month to arrive and then I realized they mailed me1 knife and one cookie press. I contacted the store to ask for a refund for the knife not mailed, instead of issuing me a refund, they sent me another cookie press and asked me to pay for it and they did not issue me a refund for the knife! There were multiple emails back and forth and they never resolved the issue. Do not order anything from this store, there are many other good options for cooking gadgets and supplies that provide better customer service.
Please save yourself a lot of time and frustration and order from ANYWHERE else. Called the 1-800 number looking for my order (from almost a month ago) and just kept getting an automated message to email them. Might be ok if they actually answered their emails.
After waiting a week for my order to be shipped, I emailed Cookstore, and was told that their average processing time is 7-14 business days, but that they usually ship sooner than that.
Weeks later, I asked to have my order cancelled. I had purchased alternatives elsewhere, which both shipped and arrived during this time. Cook Store refused, saying it was "on the way". A request for confirmation that that meant it was already in the mail was ignored; instead, a couple of hours later, I received tracking information which stated the sender created a shipping label. It wasn't "on the way" when I first requested cancellation; it was, at most, boxed without a shipping label.
Now I have to deal with the rigmarole of rejecting this package and doing a chargeback because they wouldn't not send it after missing their own extraordinarily low bar of a processing time, and they don't refund shipping.
I have never been so disappointed in a Canadian company. I'm not sure how they could expect repeat customers by lying.
It has now been three months since I ordered my items from cookstore.
I had spent over $700 and nothing.
All they said was "it's backordered" no compensation, no way to try and solve this issue.
They also had a website trouble FOR OVER A MONTH where nobody was able to login to their account to see the status of the order.
I had already paid for my items and I wasn't able to see the status or access the account.
I ended up asking for a full refund because this was ridiculous.

Ordered 3 items in early October, none of which were marked as out of stock when I ordered them. Nothing has been shipped yet. Reached out to them multiple times and they have never been able to tell me when my items will ship, as one item is apparently backordered. When I asked them to send me the items in stock and the backordered item when it arrived they tried to get me to instead get something else (not even the same tool) one for $20+ more (with me paying the difference) and the other a total piece of garbage. When I declined and again asked them to send the in stock items immediately and the backordered item when it arrives they cancelled the backordered item from my order - without asking.
I had ordered that item for someone else and now 2 months later I am back to square one and if I want something similar I am going to be stuck paying exorbitant shipping or buying stuff I don't need to get free shipping.
Absolutely useless site - misleading about the state of their stock, zero proactive communication about orders, avoid at all costs.
Item was unused. They will ask you unopened. How can you not open the box and know if not the right product? Back and forward 5 email didn't receive RA. I will never shop here again. Very unreasonable.

Answer: I am one of those who hates supporting the world wide behemoth online store so randomly bought from this Canadian company. The item I bought was not available in any local retail stores which is still my preference for shopping.(Victorinox - Blue 8" Fibrox Pro Straight Blade Chef Knife). I placed the order, had the confirmation email shortly, item shipped as expected and I had it in a few days. I'd use them again.
