It had been over 2 months and they have not shipped my order. It was listed as 'in stock" but after payment they informed me they no longer have this product. They refuse to refund me for my order still 2 months later. Absolutely trash customer service, there is no way to reach them by phone. I had to call my credit card company to try and get my refund. Please beware, this is a very terrible company. Based on many recent reviews, they scam customers regularly.
I ordered a coffee machine. The website said it was in stock and ready to be shipped. First problems: the website has a phone number but they automated message says they are not taking phone calls during the covid19 pandemic, so you have to put in a request to speak to someone through email. 24 hours after making my order ( they processed my credit card payment instantly) I emailed asking how long the estimated shipping would be. I got an email back saying they did not have the machine in stock. Even through it said online that they had it. I was then told that the coffee machine company is experiencing shipping delays so it may take awhile. Because I didn't want to wait that long and I found the machine at a local store. I asked if they could cancel my order and refund me. I got a reply saying they were sorry about the delays and if I wanted to pick a different machine I could do that, but that if there was nothing I wanted they would be "happy to refund" me. I immediately wrote back "
Please cancel my order and refund me". No reply until the next day. I got an email saying it was not possible to cancel the order or refund me. The machine was already being shipped! After telling me they didn't have it in stock and there would be delays, suddenly 12hours later it's being shipped! What a lie. I told them I don't want it shipped. They said I can refuse the package or ship it back to them but they refuse to pay for the shipping.
Literally the worst customer service: bunch of liars. They have zero desire to make their customers happy. I also asked for someone to call me so I didn't have to keep waiting 4-10 hours for replies. No one has called. Shop anywhere... but at cookstore
Ordered online - The order was charged to my crédit card but still has not shipped. Tried to cancel order and get refund through online tickets. They keep offering other similar items etc etc. It seems impossible to get order cancellation and refund. NEVER NEVER AGAIN!
We are thoroughly pleased with the ordering of our All Clad Gourmet Plus slow cooker. The process was easy and the tracking made simple. We actually received the item a day ahead of time and it only took five days. It was my original intent to purchase the All Clad Gourmet slow cooker for S289.95 at Williams Sonoma in Calgary. I then saw your website with the Gourmet Plus model and realized the marvelous extra features for $324. Williams Sonoma had that same item for $425. What a bargain purchasing from the Cook Store! We purchased this Item because a friend of ours has had the All Clad Gourmet slow cooker for nearly 4-years and is very pleased with it. Our last Crock Pot slow cooker died last week so we borrowed theirs to cook an out of this world corned beef. We seem to purchase the box store slow cookers about every two years. Here is hoping that the All Clad will give us many years of service.
I ordered a Dutch oven from their web page that said would ship in 2 to 5 days. A month later, I haven't even received a shipping notice. When you call the customer service number, they tell you to contact them through the website and someone will reply. What you get is a canned response, and when you reply you get the same canned response of shipping in 2 to 9 days. I have asked for them to just cancel & refund twice. Another canned response. I expected more from a Canadian company. Very disappointed, zero customer service. Avoid this store.
Brutal - same experience as everybody else... original order from two months ago. They tried to cancel part of it a month ago and I said I'd wait - don't cancel anything. Now it's been two months and it taking too long for the "backordered" items to come in, so I asked for a cancellation today. Their response is that unfortunately since part of the order has been sent to shipping, I can't cancel it. That is BS - suddenly, after two months of nothing, the order happens to be at shipping at the exact same time I ask for a cancellation? They have no way to contact them other than working through their email system. They seem to have only two employees (Chloe M and somebody else). If I check my order online right now, it still says "Processing" and that the items are backordered. Yet, if I search for those same items on their website, they're all listed as available, but part of my order is somehow at "shipping" according to Chloe M who won't cancel and refund me. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider shopping with these folks. Even if something costs twice as much from somebody else, it's worth it.
Great service. The Cuisinart spice/nut grinder I ordered was delivered very quickly and it's just what I wanted.
It took quite a while to come, but I am assuming it's because of the Covid 19.
The knife is okay, I expected it to hold an edge better than it does.

I ordered my items May 7/20, I still have not received them (June 23/20). First it was back ordered but they would ship it out as soon as the received it. Then it was at the shipping department and I would be receiving my tracking info within one business day (that was June 9/20). On June 11/20 apparently they reached out to the shipping department with no answer, June 15/20 still nothing (all contact has been initiated by me) and apparently even though I hadn't asked to yet they felt the need to inform me that they cannot cancel my order. June 16 & 18 I contacted still no answer other than they reached out to the shipping department. On the 19th I opened another ticket and they closed it without a reply. Did I mention tickets are the only way you can get in touch with this company, you call their number and get an automated response, if you wait through the response it actually rings but no one ever picks up. You can leave a message but no one ever returns your call (I tried 3 times). Do not buy from this company, they lead you to believe all items are in stock when they are not and they will not tell you they are back ordered unless you contact them. It has been almost 2 months since I placed my order and I have given up. I have contacted my credit card company and requested a reversal of the transaction as I have not received my item yet.
Placed an order for a product May 4,2020. Add claimed delivery of product in 4 to 6 business days. 7 weeks later, no product. Series of emails resulted in a run around. After 30 days we recieved an email offering a refund, we accepted and nothing happened. Enquiries got the response that the offer was made in ERROR. Then they switched to the order was sent to shipping so they can't do a refund. Told tracking info was to be sent shortly. It wasn't. Still waiting for shipping info. Many enquiries were not answered, request to call us were ignored, and they don't answered there phone.
You can only rate this as low as 1 star, I'd have picked minus 3.

Excellent service. Competitive prices. CookStore kept me informed of the status of my order throughout. Delivery of my order arrived 2 days early.
I placed this order on May 13th, and was charged to my cc on May 17th for the order.
Even though my cc had already been charged, for some reason there was concern over my credit card details, a ticket was opened to confirm specific details about the credit card. After promptly replying to the ticket with all the necessary information, I received several calls from customer service to re-confirm my credit card details, again even though my credit card had been charged nearly a week prior to the initial ticket. I have never had this issue with any other online retailer, where I am being asked to confirm my phone number and address from the retailer.
Subsequent to providing all the information required, I was told that a customer service representative would be in-touch to confirm the status of the order and that it would ship shortly after. Over a week and a half has passed since this time, and it has been radio silent. I reached out to customer service multiple times, after which they responded on June 1st that your order has been shipped. Since then it has been almost a month and I still have no work of when I am going to receive my shipment, they have sent me multiple tracking numbers, every day they are updated to state the product will arrive today however it never arrives. I spent over $1,000 on one order and have never faced such terrible customer service. I am left questioning why I didn't purchase directly from the supplier, given that their price point was the exact same. I would never recommend anyone to purchase anything from here.
Made an order over never received it. Customer service has stopped responding once I asked for a refund. Promise after promise was made that the item was "in shipping"

Despite extra complications caused by COVID-19, Cook Store was very attentive answering my emails and providing updates. When the items arrived they were thoughtfully packaged with minimal waste. Would definitely recommend!

Ordered a high end frying pan May 15th, it's June 10th, no frying pan. No emails, nothing. Sent 3 emails asking to update me, no response. It sounds like take your money and run, or just ignore you. I'll be disputing the charge on my credit card...
I had just received my first order from the CookStore, and one of my Emile Henry bread pans was broken during shipment. After contacting their support department they were very quick to help me out and ship out a new one free of charge. Besides the photos I included they didn't make the return process arduous where other retailers would have made me ship the broken item back at my cost. I just received the replacement today and it's perfect. Now it matches the second pan from the first shipment. I understand damage occurs during shipping and I'm so happy to see that they understood as well and made my experience a great one. Just like they didn't hesitate to fix the issue I won't hesitate to shop with them either.

Answer: I am one of those who hates supporting the world wide behemoth online store so randomly bought from this Canadian company. The item I bought was not available in any local retail stores which is still my preference for shopping.(Victorinox - Blue 8" Fibrox Pro Straight Blade Chef Knife). I placed the order, had the confirmation email shortly, item shipped as expected and I had it in a few days. I'd use them again.
