ConsumerLab.com provides independent test results, reviews, ratings and comparisons of vitamins, supplements, herb and nutrition products to consumers and healthcare providers.
ConsumerLab enjoys a strong reputation among its users, who appreciate the unbiased, detailed information it provides on supplements and health products. Customers frequently highlight the site’s thorough research and reliable testing, which empowers them to make informed decisions about their health. However, some users express frustration with the frequency of email updates and recent login issues related to cookie settings. Additionally, there are requests for broader product reviews, particularly from popular retailers. Overall, while the service is highly valued for its quality and reliability, there are areas for improvement in user experience and communication.

I count on ConsumerLab and can't imagine being without it. I trust your reviews and value the in-depth coverage which includes background, safety concerns, uses, recommendations, and ratings for the different brands of each product.
ConsumerLab was a recommendation from my functional medicine MD. This site has been very helpful in assessing the usefulness of a supplement, checking for side effects and interactions, and choosing the most reliable brand for each. More open than the traditional med sites but very informative on valid research. Invaluable!
Thanks for letting us know, Jennifer. That's exactly why we are here.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Mary
Before I buy any supplement or take any new medication I login to ConsumerLab to read the facts.
I also recommend ConsumerLab to everyone I know.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Ronald!
ConsumerLab has, over a period of more than 10 years, become my "GoTo" source for information on natural supplements abailable on today's market. From quality testing of specific supplements offered by numerous manufacturers, to up-to-date experimental testing results from all over the world. Testing using scientific methods of specific supplements, many resulting from statistically significant human group studies. Studies carried out to determine the effectiveness of specific supplements in addressing various human health issues. Also, ConsumerLab publishes information on alerts concerning poor quality supplementation products being uncovered by government watchdogs. All of this information helps me make better decisions as to which supplements to use and which to avoid. This information also helps me make decisions as to whether to try new supplementation, or to abandon a current part of my supplement regimen,
Thank you very much for sharing that, Stephen. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
The research that is collected regarding a topic is comprehensive and informative. The newsletter by email includes current events and supplements you find advertised for the treatment of many conditions. Your questions are answered about various products and the quality of the supplement. Most helpful.
Thanks for your feedback, Yolanda!
Seems as when I sign in and seek a review it will take me to it, BUT when I ask for top picks I don't get to see them and it takes me back to sign in even tho I am a member. VERY frustrating!
Whenever I read about a new recommendation for a pill or potion I first go to Consumer Labs to see what the test reveal. Common sense is sometime no more than bad habit. My friends who swear by "ancient" Asian medicine say that it must work because it has been used for centuries. And I remind them that medicine not so long ago drilled holes in people's skulls to let out the bad humors. Keep up the science.
Thank you for that nice review, Richard. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
We have relied on Consumer Lab for years for timely and accurate information regarding the efficacy of various supplements and nutritional approaches. They have been great sources to help nake informed decisions.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Charles!
No negative experience with my subscription or interaction with Consumer Labs. Consumer Lab is go-to resource for efficacy of supplements/vitamins.
Thank you for that feedback, Lynda!
As a life long health scientist, I have come to appreciate ConsumerLabs work to evaluate the many products commercially offered to enhance our health. Their work to bring forth the research on these substances is current and very valuable.
Thank you for that nice review, Rob. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
Whenever I need to research a new product, I use ConsumerLab. It provides me with information on why a product is used, how it should be used, what it is used for, and possible side effects and drug interactions. Then, it lists the products it has approved through research. For example, recently, I researched the use of CoQ10 to relieve migraine headaches. I found that I should not use products with bioperine because of a drug interaction, that CoQ10 was fat soluble, that additives can make it more bioavailable, but that the most bioavailable of all was ubiquinol. I have now purchased one of the recommended ubiquinol products. Without ConcumerLab I would not have known all of this.
We're glad to have you as a member, Susan! Thanks for your review.
I like the information received but there needs to be more frequent product reviews and of more companies to make it worth the price
We're actually publishing more product reviews than ever -- with a new category report one every 2-3 weeks.
I deeply appreciate the quick responses not only related to the virus, but continuing to test & update test all the supplements. I have recommended to at least 12 people, plus one primary care physician, that a CL subscription is mandatory.
We're glad to hear that ConsumerLab.com is helpful to you, Robert. Thank you for spreading the word!
Overall, they do a very good job. But I wish they'd review certain popular items--like Nature's Answer liquid fish oil, which is relatively inexpensive. Also, I can't fathom why, last time I looked, they didn't review the curcumin supplement Theracurmin HP, which is the one used in a small but well designed clinical trial at UCLA.
Thanks for your review, but please note that we did test a Theracurmin (Natural Factors® Curcumin Rich® Double Strength Theracurmin®). Please see our Turmeric and Curumin Review (https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/turmeric-curcumin-supplements-spice-review/turmeric/).
Consumer lab is an invaluable resource for anyone contemplating taking vitamins or other supplements.
Their comprehensive information from reporting on research into efficacy and side effects to independent testing of ingredients is critical for consumers awash in a sea of unsubstantiated claims.
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
I always check CL before making ANY purchases of healthcare supplements and products because there are just too many products out there and knowing which ones to trust is impossible without CL's reviews. I only wish there were more Canadian products covered in the reviews but it has been slowly improving over the years.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Tanis!
I have been a member for years and now, when we really need it more, we rely on it first and foremost.
We're glad to hear that ConsumerLab.com is helpful to you, Kay. Thank you for your feedback!
Very beneficial work, plus helpful commentaries shown from other subscribers. Did however notice one retraction - of sorts - on the oatmeal review. Seems as if external pressures perhaps forced publication of a "clarification" of pesticide levels in a common brand. Regardless, worth the price, since it helps guide our consumer decisions with extra confidence.
Hi Irving, thanks for your review and feedback, but please note that nothing in our review or reporting of oat products was driven by any external pressure. We have been objectively reporting findings.
As the titile suggests Consumer Labs provides a valuable service. In fact I suggested to your competitor? Consumer Reports that they should refer to your service rather than referring the the FDA which provides questionable information.
Thank you for that nice review, Thomas! We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.

If you were somehow able to download content from our site, it is quite possible that it would only work while your membership was current.
Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
Answer: Yes, we recently published a new report on turmeric and curcumin supplements as well as turmeric spice (ground root powders) at https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/turmeric-curcumin-supplements-spice-review/turmeric/
Answer: Hi Barbara - You can give a gift membership to ConsumerLab.com from this page: https://www.consumerlab.com/giftcerts/. We have a link to this at the bottom of every page, but the font is a bit small. Hope that helps.
