ConsumerLab.com provides independent test results, reviews, ratings and comparisons of vitamins, supplements, herb and nutrition products to consumers and healthcare providers.
ConsumerLab enjoys a strong reputation among its users, who appreciate the unbiased, detailed information it provides on supplements and health products. Customers frequently highlight the site’s thorough research and reliable testing, which empowers them to make informed decisions about their health. However, some users express frustration with the frequency of email updates and recent login issues related to cookie settings. Additionally, there are requests for broader product reviews, particularly from popular retailers. Overall, while the service is highly valued for its quality and reliability, there are areas for improvement in user experience and communication.

This is a great website dispensing valuable information. My greatest desire however is for Consumer Lab to review the claims of the product known as "Balance of Nature" Their radio ads are full of testimonials from happy customers telling people they have been cured of everything from rashes to cancer. They claim to have dehydrated fruits and vegetables into tablets that provide similar nutritional value as whole fruits and vegetables. The product is quite expensive and a lot of older people are buying into it.
I look up supplements and conditions in ConsumerLab at least a few times every week. I know that the information I find there is based on solid scientific research.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Mary!
I've been a member for over 10 years. Always refer family & friends to your site! Whenever I research vitamins & supplements I never fail to utilize your site in order to make my final & definitive decision.
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Tracy. Thanks for letting us know.
A grreat site to find valid information on OTC medications that I cannot find in other places. As a primary care physician this is a valuable resource. Thank you.
Thank you for that nice review, Dirk. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
I've been a member of ConsumerLab for years! I use their library plus their helpful supplement reviews!
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
I have relied upon Consumer Lab for many years. They offer extensive accurate information about supplements and herbs which includes the actions, precautions and contraindications. They also test various products to determine the quality of specific brands. All of this is invaluable information. I am an RN and Naturopath, and have studied these things myself.
Thank you for that nice feedback, Sharon!
I appreciate the info supplied through ConsumerLab. Up to date info concerning much that I may never have known about.
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
If you want the best detailed & unbiased information about the supplements you are interested in, look no further. The only agenda here is to give all the FACTS about this unregulated area. PLUS get brand name product comparisons with prices. Can't tell you how much I rely on this service. Saved me tons of money. Kept me from falling for products that won't do what the advertising indicates.
We're glad to have you as a member, Cindy! Thanks for your review.
Good and trustworthy Good and trustworthy good and trustworthy
Thank you for that nice feedback, Paulina!
The reviews were through and thoughtful. I trusted them.
Once I had reviewed what was relevant to me the value of the service dropped. Not every supplement or brand I was interested in was reviewed.
Your weekly updates are ok but I believe they are old info available in the body of your information.
We appreciate your feedback but want you to be aware that there is new content added almost everyday, and new product reviews every two to three weeks.
Certainly enjoy and gain lot's of knowledge from CL... It would be very helpful if CL would create an algorithm to identify those with membership via their email account... and eliminate having to sign in each time with your password.
Also when reviewing supplements, I don't necessarily find it useful to know which supplement has the best "cost" value.,. I only want to know which supplement is the TOP RATED... period.
Actually, you should not have to sign in each time you return to our site. You may just need to change a setting on your device. Please contact us at 914-722-9149 during business hours and we can help you with that.
You provide in depth review of vitamins with plenty of research to back up recommendations. I really like the chart that shows price, quality, and whether they are approved.
Consumer lab is the authority to read if you want to know about safe supplements.
Thank you for that nice review, Cory. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
1. To fail a product because they don't meet their own high labelled standards, and to pass a product that meets their own poor labelled standards makes no sense. 2. You have lost your perspective. Harvard (https://ethics.harvard.edu/blog/new-prescription-drugs-major-health-risk-few-offsetting-advantages) indicates 128,000 people die of prescriptions drugs each year. In 2010, not one person died by taking a vitamin. To indicate vitamins have no value for certain problems because of a lack of RCT testing is missing the forest for the trees. Besides, we are coming to realize that medical testing is fraught with statistical problems (https://www.nature.com/articles/d*******0874-8). You need to reevaluate what constitutes valid research.
I use your site a lot for information on supplements, etc.
Buying supplements and other health products can be so confusing. Thank you for your testing and reporting. I have learned so much! Unfortunately, you don't test some brands that i use. For example, Dr. Sears Omega 3 fish oil. Please test his products. Thank you.
We're glad to have you as a member, Peggy! Thanks for your review. You can always feel free, as can any member, to shoot us suggestions about products you would like to see us test.
I rely on ConsumerLab to give impartial reviews based on science. I continue to learn from the reviews and base my use of supplements on the information.

Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
