ConsumerLab.com provides independent test results, reviews, ratings and comparisons of vitamins, supplements, herb and nutrition products to consumers and healthcare providers.
ConsumerLab enjoys a strong reputation among its users, who appreciate the unbiased, detailed information it provides on supplements and health products. Customers frequently highlight the site’s thorough research and reliable testing, which empowers them to make informed decisions about their health. However, some users express frustration with the frequency of email updates and recent login issues related to cookie settings. Additionally, there are requests for broader product reviews, particularly from popular retailers. Overall, while the service is highly valued for its quality and reliability, there are areas for improvement in user experience and communication.

It's a really great choices for me and my family. Big thanks from my side please keep up the great work
I can understand upgrading the website but it has lost its ease of browsing. The overall format is not user friendly.
I suggest revamping the website and in the future survey your customers prior to making major changes.
These thorough, informative and complete reviews for a vast catalog of supplements of all kinds make subscribing to this service a total no-brainer. Highly recommend!
Thank you very much for sharing that, Patrick. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I think consumer lab is great. I love being able to get on the website and check many health issues. But there are times the supplements i take are not listed and it leaves me wondering if what I am taking is the best for me. I realize there are so many companies offering supplements and they cannot list them all. Also there are some issues that makes me wonder about their findings. I am wondering for instance about Vit D-3. My naturopathic Dr says I should have my levels at 60-75 and your recommendations are much lower. Hmmmm. I wonder which is right.
But over all I do like referring to your website for information. Thanks
Glad that you are benefitting from our information, Marilyn. Regarding vitamin D, there are now many studies (noted in our Vitamin D Supplements Review) showing that the level you mention (assuming you are referring to ng/mL) is too high -- you start to lose the benefits of vitamin D when you get too much. Be careful. https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/vitamin-d-supplements-review/vitamin-d/
ConsumerLab helps you decide what vitamins are worth or not worth taking. I'd be lost without it.
We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I wrote to you re: your review of Molekule Air Purifiers. You did not recommend them. You based your review partly on a review done a year ago by Wirecutter, which was refuted by Molekule, who provided compelling and convincing information to negate the Wirecutter review. I communicated with Moleule, I forwarded that info to you to investigate the negative rating based on false assumptions.
You ultimately gave me your stock answer without doing your due diligence and revisiting Moelkule and reviewing all of their pertinent imformation.
Consumer lab is my go too place for supplements and much more. I feel that I can rely on them to separate the real from the (lots of) fictions and claims as they evaluate everything from a scientific point of view.
We're glad that you are enjoying your membership to ConsumerLab, Peter. Thanks for letting us know.
I have been using Consumer Lab for several years. I started when my husband became allergic to many of his medications and I needed to look up the ingredients of each med to make sure it didn't contain the substances he was allergic to. Right now I am using them for Covid19 information. I am very confidant that I am getting correct information and will continue to use this service.
Thank you for that nice review, Susan. We're glad that you appreciate our work. Thanks for your support.
I am incredibly disappointed by the quality and lack of variety of information that I discovered after I subscribed for CL's membership earlier today. I was looking to get a recommendation for a prenatal vitamin and discovered the following:
1) The prenatal research that was done and published on your website compares only 3 multivitamin options
2) The only recommended option is a strange brand which is not sold in any mainstream stores
3) The recommended product is terribly reviewed across other independent sources and several customers have stated recently that this product arrived moldy
I was completely willing to pay for a year of subscription for useful and helpful information that would drive better decisions. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything from your site was helpful in regards to prenatal vitamins.
Excellent guidance and best product at the lowest price. Well worth the money! I highly recommend it.
Glad that you are enjoying ConsumerLab.com! We work hard to provide exactly the type of information that you note. Thank you!
I always check with Consumer Lab before purchasing any supplements. What is extremely important
Is their ability to inform the best, the worst, and the cost of products they review. They ask their
Subscribers what products they would like to be reviewed.
CL is not like others on the internet just giving numbers of reviewers by people who purchased the product. CL does actual research. Thanks to CL I make excellent decisions when purchasing supplements.
Thank you for kind words, Harlene!
I have been a member for several years and just now started using the ConsumerLab encyclopedia. I find it a good resource for information on medical conditions and ingredients that have been used to help this conditions without all the information about specific best brands. It is sometimes more helpful than a full review. I wish I knew about this resource earlier and suggest that ConsumerLab advertise it a bit more by specifying that this is ConsumerfLab specific encyclopedia or maybe call it something else.
Thank you very much for sharing that, Patricia. We are very glad that you appreciate the work we are doing. We appreciate your support.
I've used this service for almost 3 years. Never more than since the Covid 19: experience. I'd be lost in a maze of questions but thanks to consumers labs I get information I can actually use. I used it recently to get The information I needed to get a honest accurate test done. I knew what where and how to get the best virus test possible. Thank you so much for really doing such a great job.
We're glad that you enjoy ConsumerLab.com. Thank you for posting your comments.
I have used ConsumerLab for years as a guide to taking supplements, targeting health issues that have been all too common in my family. At 71 years old I remain free of problems and am very healthy. A good diet, exercise and supplements have helped tremendously!
Thanks for you high praise of ConsumerLab.com, Dodie. We're glad to have you as a member -- and keep up the good work!
Up to date detailed research on supplements and more. A must for anyone wanting to stay informed on products that effect daily life! My integrated doctor at the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Center used Consumer Lab as her Up to day resource when prescribing supplements.
We're glad to know that both you and your doctor value our information. Thank you for letting us know, Martha!
I use your database to guide patients on "legitimate" herbal products on a regular basis.
Glad that ConsumerLab is helpful to you and you customers, Tracey. Thanks for your review.
I have found Consumer Lab to be more and more useful. The testing of food products has been very helpful and resulted in my switching brands for canned fish products, oatmeal, chocolate, etc. (Note: Would you consider adding mackerel to your canned fish testing?)
I have also been using the website for COVID-19 information, especially the reviews of effective masks.
I am not a scientist so I am glad to have Consumer Lab to refer to. You do the science for me! Thank you for all the work you do to keep us informed and safe.
Thanks for your review, Pam. We are very glad to be helpful to you in the ways you describe. We will keep mackerel in mind for possible testing.
When I have questions about nutrients and supplements, I always start with ConsumerLab.com. And I appreciate the emails alerting me to new info that might interest me.
This site has done tremendous research over the years and is invaluable especially this day and age where one does not know where to turn to anymore for objective independent information on over the counter health supplements, products, and now even foods and things pertaining to health. There is so very much great information that they supply I am grateful for all the hard work that they have done to keep this site working
Thank you for you kind words, JoannJoy. We'll keep working hard at providing objective, independent information!
Happy with everything about the site except forcing me to uncheck the keep-me-logged-in box everytime I go there.
Please, folks... for those who want to stay signed in it's a one time thing. For others, it's a continual annoyance.
Thanks for asking. Glad you're doing what you do.

It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
