Bought boots Black Friday weekend. They are absolutely comfortable and stylish, but already ripping. Barely lasting a month, and they still were not cheap. I've owned numerous Columbia products, with all success, and this is my first pair of shoes. Very upset I won't even be able to wear them in rain or snow. Makes me rethink Columbia purchases going forward.
I made a purchase on 01/01/2024 and it will be the last purchase from there. I plugged in a wrong address and try to call a customer service rep right after it. They just said they cannot do anything once the purchase is placed. They recommended me to wait but then after all just say the same thing that nothing they can do. I called back and forward and talked to the advisor. All just waste time and money! They basically don't care and even don't do anything to help! Why on earth this company still opened?
I ordered a pair of boots for my son it's been almost 9 days and it's still saying the label has been created. My order is nowhere near close to being delivered and they don't even send a courtesy email.
Ordered a coat with promises delivery by Christmas. A label was created but never shipped. They tried to blame it on UPS but that is a lie. Will not refund or resend. Will not allow me to talk to a manger.
I gave an order through Columbia's Netherlands webpage on 24th of November and still have not receieved my order. On 8th of December I was informed that an investigation was opened regarding my order, which should have been finalized in 15th of December, but I still have no news. I called the call center 6 times now and they are not helpful at all. I bought the coat for a trip that I will be going to on 22nd of December and I don't think that it will be delivered before my trip. I did not expected a behavior like this from Columbia Sportswear, as I have no about the condition of my order and when will I recieve it.
I ordered a fleece jacket and it was said to be delivered, but I did not receive it. Customer service said they would do an "investigation," then after a week sent an email that said the investigation was complete and it was delivered but I could contact the carrier. I responded to the email that I did not pay my money to the carrier. I got another email telling me that they cannot do a "full refund" and advising me to call customer service.
When I called customer service, the representative asked me to hold for her to talk to her lead then came back to the phone to tell me that they could only do I refund if I placed another order and upon receipt of that order they would do a refund. Of course, I objected to that and questioned the logic of what she told me. I told her that I waited for the sale to buy the jacket and did not have money lying around to place random orders. She continued to give unnecessary platitudes and kept repeating that I should place an order. I hung up the phone. By the time I did so and went to my Columbia to download my order form, I found that I could not log in at all. After trying while knowing that I had my login information correct, I came to the realization that Columbia had blocked my account.
This was not my first order from Columbia Sports Company as I have been buying from them for years. However, This is the last for me and even if I see their product in another store, I will NEVER wear another Columbia product. Also, rest assured that my family and friends will hear of this.
I do not have "proof of purchase" because I did not get the product nor was I able to get on Columbia's site to download my order form.
I ordered products over 2 weeks ago and they have yet to be shipped. Customer service offered to start an internal investigation which could take another 2.5 weeks to resolve or I can order the product a second time (on my dime) to maybe get here faster. There was no option on their end to just reship the package.
Ordered a black jacket off line and had to order 2 the first one the website decided to change the color from black to a faded peach Ugly color. I couldn't do anything but wait til it gets here to start a return process and order one in the right color. Although I had called moment after placing said order. Then was stuck on forever hold waiting for a supervisor that never came. Worse business out there they do what ever they can to not help and even got hung up on by one of the so Called customer service rep.
Columbia clothing, specifically snow shoes, are horrible in quality and the company does not stand by their quality support.
They do not support their clientele in any way.
Do not buy Columbia brand products because you don't know what are you getting in to. Save your money and a headache. Look for other good quality products.
They do not replace or offer any options to keep their customers. They don't really care, simple as that.

My company has a corporate partnership with Columbia. I used a Columbia.com/Partner discount code to order up to 5 items at a great discount. After placing my order for the 5 items, I received an email that one of the items was cancelled due to being "out of stock." So I reached out to Customer Service to see how I could go about replacing the item while still retaining the discount. I tried the Chat (since they say it is faster) and it kept telling me that I was "next in the queue!" but then it would time out and tell me to start over. SO I resorted to the phone line (with a 30 min wait). After the long wait, I was finally connected to a human. That human was in the process of helping me (while putting me on hold 4 separate times) when JUST as he was ready to resolve the issue, the line disconnects. For the record, I was extremely patient and pleasant. SO at this point, super frustrated, I tried the Chat again and was quickly connected to a representative who said he could not assist me with that and to try the phone support...again. So here I am...45th in the queue, another 30 min in. Still nothing...Columbia is the WORST!
Order was place and the wrong color was ordered. It was noticed immediately after order was placed. Called customer service and waited on hold for 30 minutes. Was told that they couldn't change or cancel the order. They said I would have to wait to get the order then pay to return it and wait 7-10 days after they received it for a refund. I have never dealt with a company that couldn't make changes before the order was shipped. Would not recommend to anyone to shop with them.
My friend recently placed an order online. A couple hours later, she decided she wanted to cancel the order. She called to cancel, but was told could not cancel the order, but she could return it when she received it. Now she is trying to return the product, there is a $6 fee to return the product. No where on the website or on the phone when called did they mention this $6 fee. Will never buy from Columbia again. Buyer beware.
First phone call I sent them pictures of the labels on the clothes that they admitted was the wrong size they said they had the right size in the same colors after being on hold for over a hour I hung up and called back I finally got a return label and wanted to reorder the same items in the correct size and same colors but they said they sold out since the initial call so I said I'm returning them and they lost a first time customer for good
I purchased in the Coumbia internet site.
The delivery never reached the destination.
They have no proof of delivery.
Spent hours in chats with customer support and the delivery company.
The suggested I buy again - yes - pay again!
And then, I look for them to get the refund.
Out of 3 pairs of Columbia pants I have bought in the past 6 months, all three have had the stitching on the back pockets unravel, making the pockets useless. I called the warranty line and since I have no receipt, they will not fix them. I will not waste my money on Columbia again. 5.11 makes a much better product that will last years.
I would not recommend purchasing anything from columbia. After my first purchase which was a fleece jacket for my brother for his birthday I ordered the jacket on October 2nd. It said the delivery would be between October 8th and October 10th. Every day for the last several days I've waited till 9:00 at night with the lights on outside for the delivery driver. Needless to say no one shows up. The delivery updates stopped on October 6th and yesterday October 11th I finally got an update saying it was in New Jersey. I live in Connecticut and it says today is going to be my delivery day which I find it hard to believe. If you don't mind waiting weeks for your product go ahead and order. But I will never order from this company again.
Their customer service team will not do anything to help you. All they will do is tell you to go to the retail store. These items were sale items and no returns are accepted. I reached out to Columbia and they said they do not warranty any product unless it is purchased directly through their website.
I ordered two hats and got the wrong hats called customer service and they were more worried about getting there hats back. Tried to explain to them about the problem but just said we are sending you a return label. When we get the hats back we will give you a refund. But it may take 7 days to get it. Not a word about the hats that I ordered. No more Columbia hats for mr
I had a Columbia windbreaker, perhaps 8 years old, that was in excellent condition, except that the zipper broke. I returned it to Columbia for repair and they sent me a generous credit that allowed me to order a beautiful replacement that I am thoroughly enjoying. Thank you Columbia!
Answer: When they open at 4am its easy on the phone but later it can take an hour, maybe because of Christmas.on chat i had to wait 10 min
