I was first introduced to college board when I was a sperm cell in my grandfather's ballsack at negative 109 years old. Since I didn't really have a physical form yet, I was safe from college board's highly trained mlestation team for a while. But ever since I was born at age 0, college board has been vigorously touching me ever since, and every time I went to tell a trusted adult, they stopped me and touched me even more. (figuratively).
If I could give this organization zero stars I would. My children are registered in the AP chemistry exam. Two months ago I ordered 2 chemistry manuals from their online store. It was international shipping to Canada. Not only did they fail to send me the books, they sent me a digital SAT guide by mistake. It has been two months of trying to deal with them and they still have not refunded me or sent me the right books. They are now, two months later, asking me to ship the SAT book back via international shipping in order for them to process any sort of refund. I have asked them to elevate it to managers, but apparently you cannot talk to a manager because managers are only available on their backend system by email to each other. So I have gone two months without appropriate textbooks or support for my children while having paid hundreds of dollars that has not been refunded (or serviced) and they are trying to penalize me more by forcing me to pay more money for very expensive international shipping instead of sending the mistaken book back on their own Purolator account. This company has zero accountability and their customer service is worse than the airlines.
So i'm paying 100 bucks a test yet this website runs slower than a rhino turd. You need to answer say... 10 mcqs for homework? You'll need an hour give or take. Im assigned a 60 question review with 2 45 minute blocks, and I'm getting about 1 mcq in every 5 minutes (seems impossible right?) because the website just won't operate at all. It's just not fair. Half the time the thing freezes and then just logs you out. It's literally impossible to get anything done on this website because your spending at least 5 minutes logging on, and then it's nothing but god's will you can even open up an assignment. The thing also completely takes over the device. I'll be trying to get through some assignment or video on this website at ungodly hours and the website will just randomly go blank for literally forever, where i'll refresh the website and lose all progress. This is the organization bringing us through high school and into college and it is a disgusting scam. Then it'll schedule maintenance breaks which make it so I just cant access the website for an entire day. Maintenance my butt. The only changes on this website i see is that it gets slower and slower. Then we can mention the fact they make you pay to release your own test scores to colleges. Literally no student or teacher would trust this website for their education if they had a choice. This is a vile, disgusting, repulsive wisted website and organization
Horrible piece of garbage website. Whenever they try to fix it, it becomes worse. Hope collegeboard goes to hell as I can't study due to it being with an error 404 90% of the time.
College Board is a systematic legal theft, based on well-planned psychological strategies. They are aware of the millions of students, each applying to an average of 20 colleges. As a result, each student must pay an average of $225 (in access of the free four reports), and the fee to expedite the result (because they will delay it attentionally) plus testing costs and the CSS, which is USD 320. So, every student pays an average of USD 700. If you want to expedite results, the cost reaches USD 1000. This amounts to billions of dollars, and they even bribe some universities, mostly state universities, to keep it going.
They withhold results for one to two weeks to force you to pay for expedited delivery, costing USD 30 for each report. The list of complaints goes on, including issues related to banking and the sale of your data to companies offering loans. It is evident who is behind this huge scam. We need to lobby with all universities to put an end to this SAT/ACT nonsense.
Educators: please do not subject your students to this group. Currently, my high school student's grades are in jeopardy because his teacher assigned something that can only be done on the College Board website. But he can't log into the website, and there is no solution available. College Board won't respond to emails from myself or my child/student. They won't reset a login code. Multiple phone calls to customer service have found us on hold for over 45 minutes. They simply won't respond. Seems like a lost cause to me! Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Horrible customer service. They collect all the fees and the minute you have an issue and call for help you will sit on hold for over 45 min. And still can't get through to someone. Congress should be investigating them because they are obviously scamming the Americas collage students.
If your ap scores are old it's a horribly poor process to get them. You have to print out a document and fax it to them with the little confidence that everything is correct because your not getting a receipt and no one's calling to confirm the order was sent or received. And after waiting "3-5 business days" (actually it was almost two weeks) I was sent back a letter saying sorry your scores weren't sent. Neither of the colleges I applied to got the scores and I was almost denied admission from all of them had I not had a degree as proof for a substitute from previous colleges that I had passed an AP test. As if it's not bad enough, transcripts cost about $7 to $12 while proof for AP scores cost $25 every time.
The college board has been one of the most frustrating and poorly run organizations I have encountered. There was an issue with my daughter's SAT scores not being released and in my three phone calls, the agents state that it will be resolved, however there is no follow through on their end. Each time you call, you get a different agent and you cannot work with the same person. I don't have any confidence in the verbal commitments from their agents who make promises to resolve the problem and get back to you since they never do what they say. She will move to the ACT from this point forward. The college board plays an important role with students and families and their service is very disappointing.
Apparently none of my emails work, there's like 2 different login screens and 1 requires email. Can't reset via sms despite collegeboard sending me *1* email only to an account, and then not letting me login with the account they went the email to. The only way to reset it otherwise is to call them.
As others have mentioned, this website is broken. There are only two probably emails and phone numbers I would have used to set up account. I keep trying to reset password but I never get sent a link or sms text message. I called customer service which was a young teen girl who had no idea how to help. She asked me for a security phrase which I do not remember having to put in at setup. I asked her to confirm the email address I was using, as I wasn't getting any responses back. She couldn't do that. Couldn't tell me anything because I didn't have a catch phrase. When I asked how am i going to register my kid...she said, just keep trying...Unbelievable.
The one star is my review is for the two customer service agents who actually did help me. The rest of the dozen or so agents I worked with were either too hard to understand due to their robotic rapid fire script delivery, without any trace of humanity, and with a very thick accent to boot, and seemingly did not understand my issue well enough to process a solution, for while they repeatedly said "I understand"-again, it was just part of their script.
I was attempting to get a CLEP score from a time period that was not available to access on the internet. As it was a long time ago, I did not recall the exact date or location of the exam needed, and so had to call to get it dug up from the archives. I received an email instructing me on further steps, including the option to call and provide information, which I did. However nothing happened, and when I called to check, the agent somewhat chastised me for not completing the necessary steps- even though I had. They had me submit all of the information again, and this time I did over the phone with the agent and also in an email. I received no confirmation yet again for the submission. When I called back to check on the process, they claimed again that they had not received any of the needed information, and took it all down AGAIN. A week passed, of my checking my account and email every day, with no noticeable changes on their very glitchy and confusing website. When I called to check again, the agent told me that they had sent me an email a week before, indicating that my scores had been found- yet again, I never received this email. She then instructed me on the very back-door and un-obvious way to find the score and request the transcripts. I'm doing it now, and though I am logged into the account, with my name on the top of the page, I am encountering a rather hilarious request to log in to access the scores and request transcripts. Also, College Board does not have my school listed as an option to send test scores to, even though I know they are accepted and allowed per the catalog. This is making me nervous, as all this runaround and miscommunication has already over delayed my needed prerequisite guidelines for the class I'm currently enrolled in with a temporary allowance from my program director. I really don't want to ever have to deal with their customer service again!
It's insane to me that this company is the main one we use get tested for college aptitude and credit, considering how difficult their site is to navigate, and how poor their customer service is overall. It's also a bit frustrating that they outsource labor for this department at all, especially considering how expensive all of their services are, and how they have little no competition in this very niche market. Reading other reviews about scoring discrepancies is equally frustrating! I would advise any parents or students to be very careful and aware when dealing with this company in regards to AP or CLEP exams, and to check with the university to see if there are any other options for placing ahead in certain subjects, and also to skip taking the SAT altogether if possible.
Bro i am not giving this site all my personal info it asked my adress and email login and password also incredibly slow. After I gave it my info it permanitly kicked me from the site! Am I going to get hacked?
I've been on the phone for 48 minutes trying to merge my childs two accounts. This should not take this long. I'm still holding. There is a major language barrier. The CS rep spelled my name back and said "K as in cancer, E as in elephant."
Are you kidding me?
These people SUCK. We paid for and "secured" a spot for SAT testing. About a week before they reached out and flat out cancelled it. "Capacity issues" poor kid had been preparing and now will need to take in the middle of the school year and not over summer.
The "forgot password" process doesn't even work. For a long time I wasn't even allowed to log in because this website was so buggy, and kept sending me in an endless loop of errors. And they haven't done much at all to fix it.
They do not tell you on "what to bring for the test" that you have to have a photo uploaded to the website also. Further, they have zero customer service when you complain.
It's like they hate all children. Tests are rigged and meant to steal your money. They should be sued.
Terrible customer service. Corrupt monopoly. My son studied hard for SAT exam, and they cancelled a few days before with no reason. They do not care to offer an alternate location. When I complained about this, I was talking to a wall blabbering about the agreement we sign during the registration. How convenient. This monopoly should be ended to get some respectful customer service.
I created an account and when I tried to sign back in with my email and password (which was correct) it said that it was invalid. This was very frustrating and because of this, I can see my PSAT scores. So what is the point of having a site that isn't helpful at all.
