Stay away from this service. We won't even go into their customer service. Good luck if you ever run into an issue. However the hidden fee's are what alarmed me. I am shocked the FTC isn't regulating them. Their corporate info is so we'll hidden, I am beginning to believe it is a company that has intentionally hidden it's info. They announce the Coinbase fee when you purchase an asset. They do not mention a percentage markup on each transaction to in essence "hold" your purchase price due to a fluctuating market. So you pay them to hold a price that is higher than the current market value that you think you are purchasing each asset. There are percentage fees for converting assets even though in their legal section they state that they add no "Coinbase fee". Then, try taking your money out? They can withdraw money straight from your account easypeazy with no fee. But to withdrawal you money, you have to first convert it to USD which will incur a conversion percentage fee and then ANOTHER fee just to wait up to 3 days just to transfer it back into your account.

We are free people. You can chose to be treated like unwanted sheep and spend most of what you will make off successful to Coinbase and help a company that really cares less about their customers. I personally don't trust a company like that with my money and investments. I have taken my business elsewhere

Bought BTC after 1,5year logged back in. Wallet Complete Empty. Lost €40k+. Coinbase cant be reached. Responds on tickets that must be made from website with automatic answers after 3-4weeks, that are compleet useless. After 5 weeks haven't reached anything and my money is still gone.

Please do not trade with coinbase. Very high risk of losing all your money. Accounts are beeing completely erased so nothing can be tracked back.

My account somehow got locked and I have been trying for 6 days to get some help with absolutely no response!

What a nightmare! Worst case of shielding you from withdrawing your money I ever saw. Why isn't there a Withdraw button at the top? I bought bitcoin to be used at an offshore betting site. When I found out it would take days for Coinbase to complete the transaction it was no longer of use to me. I had set up a transfer between my bank and Coinbase before deciding not to go through with it. Lord knows what status my money was in as it just showed as "not available". No IMMEDIATE or LIVE customer support. Nothing. So, I didn't want my money sitting around in an account connected to something as volatile as bitcoin so I put in a sell order an hour after the purchase order. Still no idea what my status was as there's no phone support offered(unreal!).
4 days later I see the transfer hit my bank account and 2 days after that the money was available in my Coinbase account.
So, how do I transfer MY money from Coinbase back to my bank account and take my $25 fee hit. Lick my wounds and get on with my life swearing never to use this god forsaken site again.

Looking for a WITHDRAW button on the home page. Nothing!

I had to YouTube how to get my money transferred out of the site...

Why? Because the place to do it is located at the bottom of the Homepage underneath a massive amount of advertising banners for related services.

Finally, got to the right area and even then I had to do an additional couple of steps before executing the withdrawal to my already linked bank account.

Took 10 days for the ability to transfer my money out. Will take another 3-4 before my money hopefully shows up in my bank account. HORRIBLE

I don't deal with any service that makes you jump through hoops to get YOUR money out...

Will never deal with this site again...

Bank transfer and 3rd week still waiting for CoinBase to post. I've lost a lot of value sitting and waiting on CoinBase better name CrapBase!

Deposited a large sum from my bank after creating a new account, after using Revolut for a few weeks I had heard that Coinbase was what people used. However, they have to initially review the account. No problem I thought, and fair enough as there are rules to follow, I will simply withdraw my cash until the process is complete. Nope - my money is now their money, until perhaps they feel like doing something about it. From reading online others have been stuck in my situation for months.

I am writing to Coinbase to confirm that I have received no response to five messages requesting help for my account. Specifically, I made a wire transfer to Coinbase on 1/8/20. Coinbase has never verified or confirmed receipt of funds.
This is my second letter to your office to resolve this issue. Despite Coinbase's receipt of wired funds, my portfolio still shows a $0 balance. Coinbase continues to send me emails asking to choose a method of payment despite having already received wired funds to my account. Where is my money?
From the time funds were transferred to Coinbase I have lost money on the trades/purchases I had intended to make upon Coinbase's receipt of funds to my account. Where is your response? This level of customer service from a licensed broker-dealer is disgraceful. I trust at least one of my messages will be responded to in short order.

They have blocked access to my Money for weeks and will not answer simple support requests.
I thought it may have been a one off technical problem but after some research on a number of social media platforms and reputable news feeds it seems I'm not the only one.
Please check Coinbase on any review site that allows some sort of unfiltered content before you sign up and give them your hard earned cash.

Have asked them repeatedly for help with my verification process as I put in an abbreviation of my legal name. Got multiple copy and paste replies telling me to just go to my settings, despite the fact that it won't physically let me change my legal name.

You used to be able to ring them to discuss your issues but they stopped that. Typical greed cost cutting.

Stay away. Virtually non existent customer service. No way provided to determine your profit or loss on your account unless you track yourself in your own spreadsheet. Set a limit of on $5,000 a day direct deposits from bank account and very slow to transfer money withdrawn back into bank account. If you can qualify, your much better off investing in Greyscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) or ETHE thorough your broker.

If I could give Coinbase a "0" I would. STEER CLEAR from this platform! They stole all of the funds out of my account and are not answering any outreach to get the money back. HORRIFIC COMPANY save yourself and stay away! I invested on Coinbase in 2018 and like many others had "suspicious fraudulent activity" on the account which they immediately froze and I was locked out of. Their customer service is none existent. Eventually after a long and rigorous process got the account reinstated and ALL OF MY FUNDS WERE GONE. They are not not answering or replying to any complaint and I have heard through many forums if you search that I am not the first person this happened to. SAVE YOURSELF the headache. This is not a legitimate business.

Moheeth Alvi went out of his way to assist me with Coinbase and showed me every single step to take in order to gain access to my account. I had originally written several negative reviews on various platforms and am now editing all of them with updates after the help he gave me. If it wasn't for Moheeth I would've left Coinbase and gone to Robinhood. I understand Coinbase is going through a lot of changes but their customer service department was seemingly nonexistent. Moheeth apologized for all the problems and took the time to make sure I was taken care of. I commend him for his assistance and personable care. I wish every business hired employees like Moheeth!

I was locked out of my Coinbase account when I tried to sign into the app on my new phone. Their 2-factor authentication codes do not register when you type them in, nor do they register when you copy/paste. I was locked out of my account and tried to seek help but they have NO customer service help options aside from creating a help ticket, to which no help is received. I tried logging in on different devices besides my new phone... my laptop, my desktop, my iPad, my old cell phones etc. None of them let me log in and I am permanently locked out of my account with no help from customer service. I am asked to submit my driver's license or a picture ID to regain access to my account but it never works because my account was created before I got married and is under my maiden name, while my driver's license and picture ID's are under my married name. There is no way to call customer service and no one responds to my email inquiries except for "someone will reach out to you soon." It has been five weeks, I've created five help tickets (#*******, #*******, #*******, #*******, #*******) and have received no assistance. I only get emails saying that the cases have been closed. Why have they been closed? The issues have no been resolved! Not only this, I see on social media that thousands of people are going through the same problems and are getting locked out of their account randomly and for no reason, with no way of getting back in and with no customer service! This is people's money! Why does Coinbase not have anyone on the phone to help?!

Stay a away no customer service, they lock out your account. Log on issues. They drain your account of your funds should be 0 stars and report to sec or fbi $#*! you coin base were is my $#*!ing money?

I have been trying to get my account straight for months. It is still unusable. Coinbase has no real person to speak to. They will only give you a case number through there help support program and it loops you back to the help support program. I have entered at least 25 help support cases. Still no help I have begged them to just give me a number to speak with a actual tech support person to resolve my problem. That is no possible. I have lost thousands of dollars while try to get Coinbase help support to resolve my problems. It is not that they do not care they just do not have anyone to resolve a real problem. BUYER BEWARE. Do Not Trust your monyey with Coinbase.

Coinbase is a company that gave very little thought to the value of human interaction. However customers like myself have trusted them to provide a credible and reliable investment platform. It seems to me that when there is a problem and questions need to be asked there are virtually no live people at this company that a customer like myself can talk to. Over the last week I have had legitimate concerns about the amount of my account which appear to be incorrect. After going on The CoinBase website and using their interface to voice my concern the best they could do was to lock me out of my own account. When I attempted to phone them, it automatically disconnects me and directs me right back to their website and back to the online prompts that I had just been through. Coinbase has arrogantly designed their customer service as a vicious cycle. I was graced with an email indicating that they'll need 4-5 business days to rectify the situation.( this is outrageous!) It is no way to gain trust or retain any semblance of a relationship or decent reputation. Their customer service is simply the worst I have ever experienced.
