On May 27,2021 my account was compromised so I contacted Coinbase and had my account disabled. A few days later, after having placed my bank account on hold, I decided to go back into my Coinbase account to see if I could retrieve $10K that had been in the account. When I attempted to recover my account I got a message that my account w disabled and to contact Coinbase Support. So I did, I wrote Coinbase an email and was given a case number. That was over 60 days ago and I have not been contacted by Coinbase to resolve my issue. There is no phone number that I can call to talk to a Customer Service rep. I've written multiple emails to the support email address and still have not heard from anyone. All I want to do is access my account and retrieve "MY" money and I have no way of doing that. Stay away. Do not entrust any of your coins or money to them.

They will lock you out of your account and take your money. Coinbase is unreliable! Also no callback

Be careful when on dashboard, it is not user friendly and confusing. On 07/22/2011 on dashboard trying to review funds and they (Coinbace) withdrew $1000. 00 from my Well Bank. How i discovered this "unauthorizes" purchase was their email. Immediately i called my personal banker, who immediately filed a complaint. There is no human customer support with Coinbase. Site not Trustworthy

This post explains my horrible experience and is meant to inform people about how easy it is to lose money using Coinbase services trading Crypto.
I have brought the issue up with Coinbase representatives in the past month, and after several inquiries, I still have not heard back from them. The app, Coinbase, is faulty and is set up for investors to lose their money quickly. I am adding pictures as proof of my claims to such transactions accruing. Also, to reveal how other, more ethical apps such as Robinhood handle such circumstances. Moreover, This post tells my experience solely, as I have no affiliation with any mentioned parties.
One day after work, I was sitting outside while I decided to buy some AMP Crypto on the Coinbase app; the price that day was $0.10; I set a limit order to buy $500 AMP at $. 090, at least so I thought. After submitting the order, I got a notification instantly that my order had been filled! I knew something was wrong, so I checked the receipt from Coinbase right away, and I found that I entered the price at $. 90 instead! I was in a state of shock; I wanted to fix the problems, so I thought it would bring my average cost down if I bought more! I put another order then; again, the same thing happened when I missed one zero after the decimal point; I know it!
I reached out to Coinbase and informed them of such transactions occurring and how. I went on other apps and sought to resolve what would happen if you entered a limit order to buy, exceedingly over the market price.
I have shown in the attached pictures in this post an example of the app Robinhood. Robinhood app caught the mistake right away and informed me of it, while Coinbase did not!
Again, I reached out to Coinbase and explained the faultiness of their business setup, and they chose to ignore me still some more!
The receipt from Coinbase, which I screenshotted and included in this post, shows that Coinbase bought the AMP at the market price of $ 0.10 and kept the extra AMP Crypto bought with my money and gave me a fraction, in addition to taking out fees!
I wonder how many times a day this occurs as people lose hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in Coinbase in a split of a second and may not even realize they have.
I hope this post helps people to STAY AWAY from apps that mal-practice in these tricky ways, like Coinbase. Please, share if you feel this post can help someone you know; I am sending everyone lots of positive energy and blessings!

To buy crypto on Coinbase is a pain. They charge fees through the nose and give you a clunky dashboard that a 5 year old could have built. Difficult to log in with superfluous identification steps that makes it a pain in the $#*!. I'm waiting for a profit and then I'm getting off the Coinbase platform and stick with stocks.

I realized after hours of going thru their website that there is no way to know your average purchase price, the fees they charge, or what your profit or loss is... period. This is the basic info that every investor wants to know. It appears they set the site up to purposely keep you in the dark. If you want know this info, get out a calculator and good luck. If you ask CS for the info, they act like they do not speak English or simply do not read you question. It is almost like there are robots on the other end. They will simply send you to LINKS that do not help I tell the next rep, do not send me to any of the links unless they answer my questions. Once again, they do not listen or care. Its sad their stock is so high. It will come back to bite them. Coin base Pro fees are better but still no easy way to get the info you need to decide whether to buy, sell, DCA, etc. I am on 6 different exchanges and will be closing out CB and CB pro soon as I get back to close to my initial investment! Run, Forest Run unless you just gonna make 1 or two purchases and hold!

Now it has been 75 Days over 20 e-mail and still i Can not get my account Id verified
So i Can not get my money back. Same $#*! show with customer service. I complain and 3 day later i Got an e-mail that the problem is resolved. But no help It still does not work A $#*!ing joke stay away

So coinbase has robbed me twice. The first time it was three ethereum that disappeared from my account once years ago. I eventually got them back, though not before I had gone through 8 months of daily phone calls to them, and after the value of thise ethereum had devalued by about 400%.

Then in February I had over. 5 Btc go missing from my account, and since then I havent been able to get a single coinbase rep to acknowledge the issue. I just get these generic emails back saying that they need mote information, even after I've sent them all the details they could possibly want.

Basically if you have an issue with coinbase, they will it ore you or worse. There is no such thing as support, much less insurance with these thieves. I signed up on coinbase the day they opened their doors, but i would never advise anyone to use them, ever, under any circumstances at all.

I don't know how I was able to add funds but something internal happened and now I'm stuck on getting reviewed its been months I still have some funds in my account and I can't do anything I've wrote to many many support they say they fixed it everytime but sadly its bull$#*!. I will update everyday from now on until its fixed. I have the coinbase card, I have the coinbase wallet app as well and I'm getting issues with just the coinbase app. It sucks, and support is non existent.

I had two-factor authentication setup on my account yet Coinbase allowed a hacker to access my account and change my password without sending me a verification text. My Coinbase account and bank account were drained and Coinbase refuses to do anything about it. Also no phone number to call for customer service, when you have an issue you will need to send an email to which you will receive a generic, automated response. HORRIBLE COMPANY, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I had a nice amount of money in my Coinbase wallet. One day 3 weeks ago I logged in it kicked me out. Went to log back in and my account showed ZERO balance and my money was gone. I emailed them 6 times and got NO response! Who does this and is able to sleep at night doing this to a customer. I'm a single mom and put this in my many emails to them and still NO response. How do you run a company this way. Don't trust this application RUN as fast as you can! Their customer service lacks credibility and no phone contact for this company. These people should be ashamed this is how they run a business. Disgusting!

Don't expect to receive any of the advertised incentives for signing up or ID verification, user agreement fine print states they can not credit the incentives to you (even after email verification that you will receive it) without any notice as to why. Every attempt to contact customer service is just responded to with a computer generated response that does not help resolve any issues you have. Functions of a crypto exchange work fine but poor customer service results in only 3star rating from me.

I filed a complaint/action with Coinbase approximately 14MAY21 for potentially fraudulent activity on my account. Coinbase locked my account. I eventually was able to access the account, but it had a $0.00 balance as of 18MAY21. On 17MAY21, I had a balance of approximately $15K. Coinbase allowed the money to be removed three (3) after I reported fraudulent activity resulting in a $0.00 balance. The issue has not been resolved and frustration continues. They have not made any attempts to replace the funds

My Coinbase account was hacked, the attached photo happened while I was driving, they immediately disabled the account when notified, and have been almost completely ignored since. I have sent dozens of emails and they have responded about 3 times with a generic message saying they will respond within 4-5 business days which they never do. That was almost 2 months ago. The account has since been decimated in the crash and I cant do my tax without access to my account and I want to buy a property but cannot until I do my tax. I want to warm others. They are the most expensive exchange and I only invested with them as I heard they are the most secure but that is not true. Absolutely no customer service. I just want my funds back and then I will get out never to return. Invest with them at your own risk.

Worst app I have ever seen. Most likely it is a scam, don't purchase on this app, because after I purchased coins they kept withdrawing money from my account without my permission. When I contacted them about this issue they have disabled my account telling me it takes 4-5 days to investigate the problem, but never get back to me.

Was purchasing bitcoin and was told I could have it within minutes of transaction then after confirming was told it would take 7 days to receive. Forget about any customer support from this company as they are total sh--!

You have to be crazy to trade crypto on this site, this platform does not have market pricing and they take huge portions of your money to buy, sell and also charge you outrageous fees to transfer money from your bank into their account. I learned my lesson these guys need to be avoided at all costs.

Coinbase is a fraudulent company. I had $7000 disappear out of my wallet! Impossible to speak to a human! They take zero responsibility! DO NOT WASTE YOUR $ GIVING IT TO THESE THIEVES!

First, as an actually functioning site I would like to say I greatly enjoy Coinbase, its quite easy to use and I was doing quite well.

Until for whatever ungodly reason it decided I needed two-step verification. Of course SMS is the only way besides sketchy app $#*! (like seriously, why can't I opt for email verification?!?!). So I can't get into my account because my phone isn't getting the SMS codes.

So I read the FAQ and try everything it tells me, and still nothing. So I contact customer support and they just pretty much copy & paste the FAQ.
Mother f***ers I read the FAQ before resorting to contacting you.

They then give me a work-around which isn't actually a work-around because 1) I don't have another phone number and 2) no guarantee that phone will work anyways.
So I have been waiting for well over two weeks for customer service to get back to me with even an acknowledgement of some kind of solution.

Great site but what's the point if you can't access it and customer service is zero help?
