Join Coinbase lose money...
May 18, 2025
Updated review

If you want to pay a bunch of fees create an account on Coinbase. You pay a fee to buy, a fee to sell, and when you go to deposit your cash you pay another fee. By the time you're finished giving them the money you made you are at a loss. I have made a smidge of money and lost whole lot of money by using this company. I'm done with crypto and Coinbase.

I like Coinbase but...
September 20, 2021
Previous review

I've noticed some changes to fees and the cost of crypto. First what they're good at: money is credited quickly, they have a earn and learn promo that allows you to try new crypto for free, and they have a decent rep. Lately though when I go to buy or sell my crypto I've noticed that the price isn't what is shown on their website. So, say I wanted to sell my crypto for $2 a share I go to sell it: the fee is $2.99 plus they only give me 1.96 per share. That means I lost. 04 cents a share. Granted you could say well the price changed while I went to sell it... okay here's the thing; they lock in the price at the time of your sale. This has happened several times so this isn't a one-off. Yesterday I pulled all of my crypto out. I think for awhile I am going to give crypto a rest.

Spoofed emails, fake dApps, and social engineering at its worst. It wrecked us. But after filing reports and connecting with on-chain investigators, we managed to trace the transactions and r3cover part of the ETH. It's not over yet, but we're finally back in control of the keys

I firmly alert against drawing in with Coinbase, as my experience proposes they work as a trick organization. Be careful about any contribution, as it might bring about monetary misfortune and negative outcomes. I've gotten my cash back and that was just way I could go about it. I found support from. (I Involved THEIR Site URL AS MY Showcase NAME AND PROFILE PICTURE ON THIS Audit INCASE YOU Want Assistance AND Believe Should Connect with THEM). Note: I did this on account of the severe arrangement here and truly I simply need to help whatever number individuals as would be prudent to get their cash back.

Coinbase's Futures Bug Is Costing Me $700+ — Support Admitted Fault and Still Left Me Hanging + now just giving me random auto responses Coinbase allowed a stop loss bug to trigger 20 points below my set SL, resulting in a trade I never intended to take — a separate long position that only filled because their platform failed. Support admitted it was a known issue, and said engineers were working on it. They even confirmed the stop should have executed at $91,700, not near $91,480 where I was dragged into a second order. That was over 5 hours ago. I've stayed up past 2 a.m. waiting for a resolution, only to be transferred between agents repeatedly. Each time, I have to re-explain everything. Now they're sending auto responses and avoiding direct accountability. No one will give me a clear timeline for when the original stop order will be processed. Meanwhile, I'm stuck in a trade that's gone $700+ against me — a trade that never should've existed. Their final message? "You may want to adjust your strategy." They take no real responsibility, offer no temporary fix or compensation, and give no way to escalate the issue. Just endless deflection and vague reassurances. Been at this for 5+ hours. Still no resolution. Still stuck in a losing position I didn't open. Coinbase admitted fault and left me hanging. If you're a trader thinking about using Coinbase for futures, know this: you are gambling with more than the markets — you're gambling with their tech and their refusal to protect your capital from their own failures.

Systemic Incompetence
April 15, 2025

In early March, some person hacked into my Coinbase account, used it to drain my bank account, and made off with the money. I locked my account right away, but it took a couple of days for me to calm down enough to contact people about it. When I got through to a customer service agent (which, to be fair, took less than a minute) I was told that the investigation would last 2-3 days. As week later, after hearing nothing, I contacted them again. I was told it would be another week. After a week and a day, I tried once more. This time I was told that a decision had been made in my favor, and my money would be back to me in a week and a half from that online chat. Several days past that deadline, I contacted them again. I was told that the case was still being investigated, and that people would be contacting me by email. I'd been told that on all of the other calls, but this time it actually did happen. They locked my account again, so I had to unlock it again. At that point they started to say that the matter was resolved, despite my saying that it wouldn't be until I had my stolen money back as promised. I've been shifted from one department to another for over a month now. That's quite a long time for having been originally told 2-3 days. I've also been giving a shifting storyline with little to no consistency. Enough is enough. Calling this "systemic incompetence" is giving them the benefit of the doubt; the only other explanation is deliberate stonewalling.

Brian Armstong is a WEF puppet. You will own nothing and be happy. My account was hacked and I caught it fast enough that Coinbase could have stopped it but they have no way to contact the company and prevent customers from contacting them on purpose. You could get millions stolen and no law enforcement will do anything. Coinbase is a globalist communist WEF tool fraud ring. Do not use it. Do not invest in US markets either. The USA is being flushed. The 1% and congress are stealing US citizens money like no other time in history.

I deposited 600 dollars into my coinbase account on January 29th, 2025 directly from my Bank Account
The deposit was shown in my statement as "pending" - this went on for three days
3 days later, I called CS and was told that there was a system error and it would be corrected in a few days
(The next day - the 600 record was removed from my coin base statement.)
3 days later, I called CS and was told that the people was with my bank - They needed proof of Transfer - I provided it and confirmed the transfer with the Bank CS.
3 days later, I called CS and they told me that maybe there was some kind of fraud - nothing specific
3 days later, I called CS and they told me that there was no fraud and the funds would be returned to me on March 1
On March the second, CS said, that they were working on it and that I would have to wait until they sent the refund to me. They refused to provide a timeline beyond "soon" and I should watch my email for further instructions. No dead line or ability to get any additional information.
In Coinbase's defence, they do reply to calls quickly and are articulate and detailed. I want my money back.

I joined Coinbase in May 2021, and since then, it's been one issue after another. I lost a significant amount of USDT around November due to a scam that the company failed to prevent. I never shared my seed phrase, nor did I willingly disclose it. So how did my wallet get emptied? The worst part is that their support team never acknowledged the issue or attempted to help. Thankfully, I reached out to norkersecurity, org to report the problem, and they ensured that I got everything back.

Don't trust this company they are legitimized thieves! Before you click that final transaction button make sure you check the details in the fees Coinbase charges you. There are two fees, a transaction fee and the spread fee. Pay very close attention to the spread fee, I was charged over $500 on a $2,700 transaction to convert Ether into Bitcoin. That's a whopping 18.56% commission. When I was going through the process I swear to you they said the spread fee would be ~$28 and by the time the conversion was over that fee went up to over $500, that's almost an 1,800% increase!

To make things worse their customer service chat line will try to give you confusing answers in an attempt to shut you up. Instead of giving you actual numbers from your account/transaction they give you decimals, not even a percentage, they make you go through some calculations instead of just giving you a simple answer. You need to ask yourself if keeping a Coinbase account is really beneficial to your financial plan, paying nearly a 19% commission is detrimental to any sound financial planning. Coinbase will tell you things like try trading during less volatile times will have a smaller spread fee. For the last two hours the price of Bitcoin has been in the $97,000 range, does that really sound like a volatile time to you and yet that was the reason I was given as you can see in the screen shots I attached. Now that Coinbase is a public company they are responsible to shareholders and not account holders, that's a conflict of interest. Are sky high fees really part of the future for decentralized finance and if so why is that better for the general population. I can buy stocks without any fee, I can withdraw my money from the bank without any fees so why would I pay a fifth of my investment to fees. The way my transaction went I am in a negative position until bitcoin hits $100K. Why would anyone agree to that. I suggest you find a wallet with lower fees or at the very least find a wallet that's more transparent about their fees. If it was presented to me clearly I would never had completed the conversion. Protect yourself and avoid doing business with Coinbase!

COINBASE
January 22, 2025

I was locked out of my account from id expiring, I uploaded new Id now I am completly locked out to where it only goes to id verification page. These $#*!s that work on their support team think they are funny, they are just $#*! holes. So now money that they took from me while my account was suspended is locked on my coinbase after they issued me a refund then proceeded to lock me out completely. I have never been treated with so much disrespect in my life. So if you want to get your money stuck on their bull $#*! site go ahead and sign up. And if you have any complaints dont contact support they will only lock you out of your account to where you have no access to your funds.

ZERO Customer Service
January 8, 2025

Stay away from Coinbase. Virtually ZERO customer service - you cannot reach a person on the phone. My two-step authentication got screwed up, so the only other way to access my account online is to verify it is me by taking pictures of my ID and taking a video. I've tried it 4 times with two different IDs and each time it says unable to verify. So, I'm unable to access my account and cannot contact anyone.

I recently had a troubling experience with Coinbase that I felt compelled to share. I was scammed while using their platform, and it left me feeling frustrated and helpless. After realizing I had fallen victim to the scam, I reached out to Coinbase's support, but their response was far from satisfactory. After doing some research, I discovered Norkersecurity, org I was initially skeptical, but I decided to reach out for assistance. Their team was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable about cryptocurrency scams. They guided me through the recovery process and helped me understand my options.
