Typically Clearly is great (fast shipping is particularly thumbs-up-y) -- that's why I've been ordering my contacts from them for yeeeears.
But, probably due to COVID, they were out of my favorite contact lens brand last time I ordered. I have dry eyes, and I live in the driest freakin' climate in the world - middle of Alberta - so I need really, really "moist" contact lenses. I ended up ordering a different brand, and now my eyes end up super-dry around dinner time with this clearly lesser brand.
Not Clearly's fault... but something to consider when ordering lenses from them. It would've been great if they'd known their supply was running low and sent an email blast to everyone who's bought that brand before.

It's tricky to know if you want to order glasses online -- but I've been quite happy with how easy it's been to return/make changes to my order. I have a challenging situation in how to correct my eyesight for my heavy computer use, so had some trial and error with progressives.
I've been happy with the frames I've ordered over the years.

I love clearly for the ease of ordering exactly what I need. I've always found the selection abundant and the shipping very quick. I would love to see less shipping charges, but that alone will not turn me away from ordering again.

I had an excellent experience. Ordering online was easy. There were lots of nice glasses to choose from, and the prices were great! I liked that I could see what I looked like, trying on the different glasses online. The checkout process was easy. My order came quickly, and was exactly as described. Answer: Hi Dan - what you're seeing is the pre-authorization hold being taken and released so we can actually take the payment upon shipping out. On a regular credit card this is pretty invisible (a pending payment becomes an actual charge), but because the only way to apply a pre-authorized hold of funds on a credit-debit is to have the processor remove them from the bank balance and hold them between your account and Clearly's, it looks more like a charge, refund, charge. In either case, Clearly only receives the funds the one time once the order ships out!
Answer: Oh no! We're truly sorry to hear about this and apologize for the late reply. If the prescription is correct, one more piece of information you want to verify is the PD (Pupillary Distance), as it is not always showing on the prescription. If it is not, and the PD is showing 63mm (or 31.5/31.5) on our receipt, this means the PD by default may have been entered when placing the order. This measurement is important as it allows us to cut and place the lenses in the frame in order for your eyes to focus right at the middle of the lens, to ensure comfortable and perfect vision. If the PD was incorrect, or if you're experiencing eye strain despite a correct PD, please contact our customer service team at 1-866-414-2326, or via chat or email through our website with your order information. We'd love the chance for them to trouble-shoot the issue and help with any adjustment if necessary. - SH
