When a back-ordered part delayed the repair of my refrigerator, they first marked my claim as resolved and then, over the course of a week, I called 4 times and spoke with 8 different people to get the repair job up and running again. Finally, a week later, they confirmed to me that when I was told a new source of the part had been sent to the repair company a week prior, that person, nor any of the 6 others I has spoken do since, had actually submitted anything to the repair company so I'd been waiting around and calling them over and over again for a week and absolutely nothing was done to try and get a new part for my fridge. I'm two weeks from submitting the claim and I still have no ETA as to when a new part might arrive or when the fridge might be fixed. They acknowledged that they made a mistake but refuse to do anything to rectify it. I would 100% have been better off not wasting money on this plan, I could have used that money to buy a new fridge already and not be in this frustrating situation (they refused to cancel my plan/the potential future repair and refund me the money so I"m stuck waiting with no fridge indefinitely). Horrible customer service, long wait times to talk to anyone, no resolution when I do, and admittedly at least 6 employees who just don't do what they say they're going to do to solve your problem.
This company is totally a waste of money, and nightmare. They don't respond on time and when they do. They send over a bad technicians. I call them twice and all I get in return after paying technician $ 84 services fee twice is denial. Oh " this faucets is broken and we don't cover a broken faucet". Really, it's clearly stated on coverage that, warn and tear are cover by policy. My faucet was not broken, just the handle came off and won't fit back in again,and they refused to fix it after two attempted and I kept paying for service call the s fee which is $ 85 and until I got enough of their lying attitudes. I put to an end of their lair behaviors by cancelling the service. They were happy because they have gained profit and I lost by paying and get nothing for years of services I have with them. They never fix one things ever since. I was very disappointed with their services. They asked me to do an appeal but it was evening worse.The so call case manager who was in charge of my case was so mean and disrespectful. She give me two choice to either accept the denial or cancel the service. I option to cancelled the service because continue doing business with such arrogant company will be wasting of money and time. I repeat, don't do business with Choice home warranty period. I wise I saw their review at first.
My AC stopped working. Repair Tech came out and shows where two coils rubbed together. CHW states Corrosion. Will not cover repairs.
I have an oven that doesn't function well. It has been repaired many times. I called Choice home warranty. They promised that send the final tech to examine. If the tech requested replacement and we will replace it. The tech reported to Choice home that the oven need replacement. However, choice home told me we only proved repair. Never renew with them. The good reviews probably are friends and family members.

No one should use this company. They do not want to uphold their part of the contract. I had three claims and each time they refused or offered a low price to fix which I had to cover the reminder. I had a chase manger name Chantel M. Who was very rude, refused to listen to me, very short and sarcastic. I felt like I paid this company money to insult me which I did not. To be fair I did talk to two other people who seem to want to help, but I had to keep calling back to try to get other people beside her.
Have paid approx $1000 a month for a warranty, have had an ac unit broken since august and a run around with choice and their installer ever since. Installer doesn't answer, choice defers and defers. Stay away
I have had Choice warranty for over 4 years they have been horrible.
They always decline claims, from a seal on a dryer to a valve on a brand new air conditioner unit to sending scammers out to the resident that say I need to replace a brand new AC unit.
But when I hired a reliable technician with an upstanding company it was a simple fix.
They are all criminals taking from us.
Stay away from this company.
I submitted a claim for AC after it had been running longer than normal, and the temp wasn't changing much. Only one degree cooler overnight. In Georgia. In summer. Two days went by without any appointment, the end of the 3rd day I got an appointment FOR 10 DAYS LATER! So I asked if I had to run it 24/7 for 10 more days, and they said if we tried to check with another vendor, we'd "have to start the process all over again.". Unacceptable, and incredibly inefficient process. Why not reach out to local vendors, and WHEN you get availability dates, THEN secure the earliest appointment? I have called again, and was told the technician would call me... it's been two more days, and no one has reached out. I will NOT be renewing.

I should of looked on this site before signing up for multi year home warranty with choice home warranty - live and learn. Ive experienced all the negative reviews with them, including boatload if excuses, no technicians to take claim, no dispatch, disapproving my claims and on and on. They are utterly useless and bordering on a scam as other reviewers stated. 0 out of 5. Stay flear of CHW they ate a joke
CHW hired someone to fix our AC and they ended up making it worse. CHW acknowledges that they broke it worse but won't fix it now. Don't use them! We're out $7000 now for something we didn't do!
Been waiting for a call to see when someone will Come out to fix my freezer. They can't give me any date, due to can't find anyone who will do it. Why is that Choice? They want me to find someone then send them the bill. That is not what I paid for.
I requested for AC repair, the scheduled technician 3-4 days after the request was created. They declined the claim of replacement stating reason as poor maintenance. I had another technician reevaluated system who said the system not performing because if its age and void of R22, so I tried to re appeal but their case managers already had made up her mind, she did not care to look at the other technician's report, she indirectly blamed me for making the technician says what he said. I had another plumbing request made and they assigned a technician after a week which is not what their sales team promises when they pursued me to renew the contract. I inherited the contract from the previous home owner and continued with it without researching on them. I wish I had read all the google reviews on them. I am regretting a LOT.
One star is for them answering the calls and replying on email.
I bought home warranty for peace of mind, however, when my AC stopped stopped working, they declined the coverage stating I didn't maintain it and that's why it stopped? How was I supposed to maintain a motor from dying on me all of sudden? They said they emailed me, however, I didn't get any communication from them. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company.
This warranty does not honor anything. I wish I've done some research before I purchased it. The first time of trying to use it for hvac that gave me the runaround for 3 weeks and still haven't done anything to help. I ended up buying a new unit and canceling them and now I'm looking for a company that is rated by bbb that is reputable. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A WARRANTY FROM THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT. Spend a little extra on a good reputable company.
They will find a loophole to deny you coverage for the AC units. Horrible company. I wish I knew better..
I have a garbage disposal that is not working and my sink is backed up. I filed a claim and did not hear back from Choice Home Warranty. After 24 hours I called and was told it could be 24-48 hours before I was contacted. 48 hours past and nothing. A com courtesy e-mail or call would have been great. The first e-mail I received was from the president to sale me addition years. I would not use this service again, much less buy additional years. I would not recommend Choice Home Warranty to anyone. I will pay for the service of the plumber, AC/heating directly. I prefer service over delays.
AVOID Choice Home Warranty! Total waste of money! They will find any reason not to honor their agreement. Had two occasions to deal with them and both instances they make you jump through endless hoops until they can find a way not to pay, even if it makes no logical sense whatsoever. You will spend months trying to get the system repaired or replaced to no avail. During the first instance with the AC, their service tech didn't complete the job and was trying nickel and dime the warranty company until we kicked him off the job. We had several licensed techs after which that all said the same thing and the warranty company refused to honor their responsibilities. Second instance was the same. Even after emailing their c-levels, there was no resolution! Save your time and money! Just avoid these guys! Total nightmare!
I purchased a 2 year plan as a gift for first time home owners and they have denied every claim. Terrible, dishonest, unresponsive. They do not cover what is in the contract. They were only responsive when taking my money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Answer: 2-10 is more expensive but of very good value. Good people. Our plumber has recommended Old Republic. I do not know anything about them though.
Answer: A definite scam. Will not pay, use any excuse to not pay. Takes days to acknowledge a service company is being assigned. Service personnel will not work for them as they do not get paid.
