They're good until you have a real problem. They always handled the small problems (toilet won't flush, something like that) but when my AC started not working and I had to create 6 claims over it, they sent someone to put the band aid on it but when it finally died in the summer in Las Vegas, they told me o didn't perform proper maintenance (a lie) and they weren't going to cover replacing the unit. Choice is trash and they don't care about customers, only about making money and putting band aids on gaping wounds. Save your money.
******* rating! Without A/C upstairs for a month! Coastal Alabama weather has been 98-100 degrees plus the heat index. Unbearably hot Not able to use the upstairs! The one and only time a technician came out was to diagnose the problem. Supposedly a new unit is in "somewhere" Mississippi. NO ONE will pick it up, will not ship, will not allow my husband to pick it up! Technician blamed the issue on Choice Home warranty. Choice blames the Technician! Call the Mobile "office" number what happens on terminal hold. IF SOMEONE does pick up…. You are transferred to outer space BBB could care less! What now? Purchase our own unit? Hire an attorney?

ZERO... these people have done NOTHING to help with a claim that started May 8th with NO A/C... they sent out Legacy A/C and they did nothing but take the $75 fee...
Then they redirected to another A/C company that canceled their appt...
SO we had to get help from yet another source on our own... Now... although all paperwork has been sent to them they will not repay the claim or authorize for us to move forward to get any reimbursement... What a poor representation of customer service... NOTHING like the "ads" say...
THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER. My AC compressor went out and they said they wound not fix it because it was due to a ground fault. Well genius the ground fault was because the compressor went out. That is a fail safe process. They said it was not due to wear and tear. Well the technician said on the report it was from wear and tear. I asked them for the report and they said it had proprietary information. So let me get this straight…. I can't have a copy of the report for MY AC at MY house for a warranty I am paying for. DO NOT USE THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY. Trey will provide the report when it is subpoenaed. Please take my advice and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Do not buy a home warranty from Choice Home Warranty (CHW) for any reason. Our experience with CHW is terrible. Not only have they failed to repair anything, their technician caused damage to our home and left a huge mess of raw sewage. He was trying to clear a clog and made no effort to avoid spreading sewage around the bathroom, hallway, entry, etc. He did not know how to use his tools, scratched the floor in the bathroom with his tools, and damaged the wall. The technician was grossly incompetent. More importantly, CHW claims no responsibility for the technicians they send out. Rather do anything to remedy the situation, the representative of CHW kept telling me that I would understand if I had read their contract. In other words, they use their contract as an excuse to avoid making repairs or taking any responsibility. I have been very patient with CHW up until now, but it it painfully clear that we would be better off if we had never dealt with CHW.
CHW will find any reason they can not to pay for repairs. They are scam artists and will send the worst technicians they can find in your area. Literally complete and total waste of your hard earned money. Trying to cancel service is a total joke too and they will try to entice you with more lies so you will keep paying. AVOID CHW at all costs!
I'm reading these and my god this is ridiculous. I filed a complaint over 2 weeks ago no service yet. My son googled this company and found out a lawsuit was filed on this company in 2019 for basically no holding up to their end of their deal. I'm glad i saw these reviews. I'm going to take legal action. I pray everyone here having a hard time gets their issues resolved.

I paid up front for 3 years ($1,300). They have DENIED EVERY CLAIM! They have replaced miniscal and minor parts for appliances that ultimately had to be completely replaced in the end out of my OWN POCKET! I have had to replace my microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer and now my ENTIRE AC UNIT and they have denied paying anything towards these items.
I am paying over 10k to replace my entire AC unit that has broken every other month over the past year, and they have refused EVERY CLAIM for things even after they were fixed and broke again due to a faulty unit. They will find whatever lies they can come up with (standardized emails) about how your issue is due to this normal wear and tear which isnt covered under your warranty but them cannot show you where in your warranty it states that. They refuse to take the vendors that come out and do the evaluations consult and recommendations and make up their own ways. They WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL OR REFUND YOUR MONEY! They LIE, CHEAT, DECEIVE, and continue to try to get you to pay more stating your policy is old and you need to upgrade, blah blah blah. I have never dealt with a worse company before. They pass the buck, transfer you to other departments (such as their solutions dep.) which i had a person laugh at me like this is funny, thats how professional they are. Their case managers are a HUGE JOKE! YOU WILL NOT GET ANYWHERE WITH THEM, DO NOT EVEN GET STARTED AND WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

I would give 0 stars if I could. We just bought a new home with a fairly new microwave. It's over the oven. It broke. They want to give us $191.00 in lieu of replacement. 191 will not buy any over the stove microwave. They told us they just take the average cost of ANY microwave and that's what they give. That wont replace any over the stove microwave. We were told our policy allows that. This is crap. An over the stove microwave, which is also our vent. Is NOT the same as a counter top microwave and shouldn't be treated as such! They also would not pay for a plumbing issue we had because the clog was in the main line which is outside the house. They really get you with their stupid technicalities.
I signed up with HomeChoiceWarranty in 2020 paied upfront for a 3 year warranty coverage and I will say I have had small things approved such as drain clogged approved to have worked and paying my dedeductible. If you have a large expense item, such as AC replacement I needed it was denied and now my dishwasher that needs a replacement. I was told because of the year and model #. I will be given some funds inplace of it. For me to purchase a new dishwasher to replace it my self, this is not acceptable, I paied my dedeductible so the $246.00 dollars ends up being $181.00 can somneone tell me where I can buy a new dishwasher for $181.00, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH HomeChoiceWarranty. You will be very dissatisfied.
I don't have good experiences with Choice for the last 3 years. Either they have limitations on technicians they worked for them or the Technician gives you an estimate which won't be covered by Choice and then we checked with different technicians, you found that Choice technician gives you fake estimate/resolution to the issue and making money. They quoted me $441 and declined by Choice to cover and the same issue I repaired for just in $125 and covered under the home warranty plan. They assigned a Technician who will provide a service only after a minimum of 7-8 days which indicates that they don't have a technician and you have to wait with no other options. Technicians they assigned were either overbooked and then difficult to connect with them. Also, if you used your technician and raise the claim, they took a minimum of 3 months and you have to follow up multiple times and keep asking you to talk to this person or the next person. I would change this provider for the main reason that they don't have ample technicians working for them. Do not update the credit card information on your profile. Even you opted not for auto renewal your policy you can see the charge on your credit card. I will anyway I had decided to sue them in the court for charging on credit card even not opted for auto Renewal of the policy. They also stole your credit card information and making charges as they feel so stay away from this. They offered cheaper options but quality of the service they offered to the customer is worst.
Hands down worst company I've ever dealt with. Even the subcontractor that they sent said they were horrible. Had a AC problem and refused to fix it. The managers are rude and gave me the run around for two months. At the end, they simply said we're not covering it and we're cancelling your contract for service. They just want your money and leave you high and dry when they have to fix anything!
My experience with this company was terrible. They tries as much as possible to avoid costly repairs or paying for the replacement of failed unrepairable devices. They delay the process until you feel upset and despairat, so you decide to replace or repair this piece at your expense. Even if the inspection engineer says in the report that the malfunction part is due to wear and tear which is in accordance with the contract and and should be authorized to repair. They ignore that report and tell you that this failure does not match the terms of the contract without any logical technical justification. There is a lack of respect for the customer and a disregard for the logic in the discussion, and when you want to complain or ask for the help of the quality manager, they ignore you. Because of that. I replaced the air conditioner from my own pocket for thousands of dollars. At the moment, I do not blame anyone but myself, who trusted and contracted with this company. I advise anyone who reads my comment to completely avoid doing business with this company.
We were looking to change our home warranty company and came across Choice Home Warranty. I gave them my phone number in order to get a quote. What a mistake that was! We went with another company but the calls from Choice have not stopped. They started coming from an 888 or 800 number, then they went to the area code my phone uses, now they are using the area code where I live. Just today, I received 4 calls and each time I asked to please take me off the list. I finally called the main office to get my number off of their list and was hung up on. I called back and the same thing happened, they hung up on me. What a joke! We are so happy we did not go with them as I cannot imagine how we would have been treated if they are treating us this way now. I am now keeping a log of all the numbers they are using. Beware of giving them your phone number as you will be harassed daily.
I got a Choice Home Warranty with my new house. The sellers paid for it and within a month I tried to make a claim on the refrigerator water filter housing being broken and leaking. CHW denied it as they said it was not covered. Fast forward to today as my warranty has expired and I have gotten at least 35 calls all from the same area code of 848 all with sequential #'s. They have left voice mails and even called from Texas as I have an app on my phone that shows its Choice Home Warranty and I just hit deny and block.
I had to file a claim my dishwasher broke they want to replace it and only give me 246.00 i cant buy a dishwasher with that they are scam. I been with them for 5yrs with no claims and the case manger lydia colvert cant help me. Bad company scam

Andrew Pierre, special case manager, killed my belief that Choice is good company. He doesn't respond to my emails. I wrote him that it was too much to pay $310 to replace a faucet. I offered to pay only the visit fee. Andrew Pierre didn't answer me. I sent him 4 emails in a week. Silence. However, the plumber from the neighborhood asked for only $ 80.
I am at a loss of where to start as I don't want this review to go unread due to the length, so I want to keep it short. I feel it's very important buyers should be aware of this company and the frustration, time, and energy they may cause you, so I will bullet point the experience you should expect if you still choose to use their services after this list.
*TIME WASTED (I have spent about 36.5 hours on the phone with Choice Warranty for ONE appliance request, which is STILL pending a fix since November 2021)
*MONEY (Along with my time, went my money and not having this appliance in my home has to caused more money spend to complete this chore)
*FRUSTRATION (The hours spent going round and round with customer service agents and the techs who are supposedly working on a fix)
*LIES (From service dates, to costs, to what will and will not be done, it was all lies)
*NO COMMUNICATION (They do not let you know if, when, or what is going on with the tech or your work order)
Their motto should be... Choice Warranty - Using us would be a Bad Choice!
This is likely one of the most aggravating companies I have ever dealt with. I decided to try the service based on a commercial ("cancel anytime!"). I didn't really want to begin until March but a sales rep called me and said that if I started immediately with initial payment, I would get a free month so that I wouldn't be charged the following month, but the third month instead. Well, guess what... they charged me second month anyway. So, I did my due diligence following up with them to no avail. First rep said "The free month is at the end of the policy." What? Not even close to what my phone sales rep stated. I have asked them at least 6 times by both email and phone to cancel the account which they refuse to do. They send emails and have called on the phone at least three times. Each person I talk to states, "Oh I'm not in the cancellation department" then they transfer to another person who says same thing. My advice is to steer clear of companies like this who are determined to lie and apparently cheat. I had to dispute the unauthorized charge at my bank and cancel my debit card. They have wasted A LOT of my time. I will never talk to them again.
Answer: 2-10 is more expensive but of very good value. Good people. Our plumber has recommended Old Republic. I do not know anything about them though.
Answer: A definite scam. Will not pay, use any excuse to not pay. Takes days to acknowledge a service company is being assigned. Service personnel will not work for them as they do not get paid.
Answer: PRICE AND THE GOOD REPUTATION OF GEORGR FOREMEN… Pls don't blame him. He couldn't know they were crooked when he signed up!
